Effects of Stress
ON DAILY LIVES
- Deepali Phadke
“It is not stress that kills us, it is our
reaction to it”2
“Stress, in addition to being itself, is
also the cause of itself, and the
result of itself”
- Hans Selye, Founder of Stress Theory
About the tool:
Stress is an inevitable part of our daily lives.
A problem that crosses age, gender, location, ethnicity, religion, caste barriers
and affects literally everyone.
Some stress is good as it propels us into action mode.
But sustaining excessive amount of stress over a period time has serious
implications for health, behaviour, relationships and thus overall life quality of
a person.
This tool is expected to evaluate the existence and level of stress for
participants. It will give some insight into reasons that are causing stress. It
will ascertain Stress Management capacity for every person and
subsequently for percentage of sample group. Furthermore, this tool will help
clarify effects of stress on lives of people taking this test.

Type of Questions
Feedback:
7 said questions made
them think more about
how are they handling
things
The questions are really good. In fact,
they made me introspect before
replying & the methods to reduce the
stress mentioned at the end of the
questionnaire are really helpful
- N M, Pune (W)
A few questions obviously will not
have definite answers as they are a bit
situational too and there is no one
answer for all. I know though I am
handling my stress and too many multi
tasking projects as of now ..I need to
streamline so as to avoid screwing up
later...so no surprises really. fair level
of accuracy
