As a highly motivated, self driven Store Personnel Manager, I play a critical role in the

Store Personnel Manager since 2006
I started as Dry Cleaning Supervisor in 1997, progressing to Customer
Service Manager in 1999 and Duty Manager in 2001 and Checkout Manager at conversion from
Safeway to Morrison’s.
Currently based at a 35,000 sq foot store that has seen turnover grow in this highly competitive
and demanding economic climate. Responsible for the Training and Development of Senior and
store employees I ensure compliance in Food Safety, health and Safety, and effective succession
planning. As part of the Senior Team and within my inspectoral role I have used good
communication and coaching skills to improve standards and create an environment of
empowerment and opportunity whilst controlling costs through analysis of data.
2. Main Responsibilities:
1 Maintaining strong CEI performance to ensure retention and low absence levels
2 Recruitment and Training and Developing at all levels.
3 Ensuring high Customer Service Standards to drive sales.
4 Health and Safety and Food Safety compliance.
5 To lead, guide and coach through as part of the Senior Team and as a representative for
Morrison’s throughout the area.
Key Achievements:
CEI at 79% in 2012
LTO reduced to 12%
Absence at 4%
Brought Leicester’s Dry Cleaning Department into profit 6 months ahead of
company target.
Achieved a zero tolerance 'Cash Losses ‘in store through best practice and staff awareness
became the Area Ambassador for cash and security.
Launched 'Every Second Counts' initiative which drove efficiency in
service achieving 100%, developed a Training pack which I used in weekly
training sessions to all stores across the area, achieving 100%.
Creating a focus group of managers, supervisors and general assistants we
reached Gold status in the Customer Service.
1987-1997 Fashion Retailer
For 10 years I ran a Fashion business, starting with a small female
clothing label. I opened a first retail outlet in 1989 in Leicester which
became the springboard to develop the clothing label through Retail and
Trade shows selling to Japan and Australia, and a
second retail outlet in 1991.
