4. Lighting Clip 3
• In the first shot we see a birthday cake and the lighting is by
the candles. The only lighting is by the candle, therefore we
only see how much the candle light can show us. The light
colour is orange and red, the red could represent blood and
death as we find out the girl is dead moments later.
• In the second shot we see a hospital scene. The colouring is
green, this colour will represent gore and is sickness. As she
is in hospital this colour will represent illness too. The
lighting only covers where she is standing as we learn it is a
dream she is the centre of it.
• In the third shot we come out of the dream and back to
reality. The colour is white which could represent plain and
normal so we see full lighting of hospital lights.
5. Lighting clip 4
• In the 3 shots we all see dark colours and we
see nothing but the head lights and that is the
only lighting we see all we see is black. This
would represent the colour of horror and fear
and that something is going to happen. The
colour black will mean dark and fear.
6. Location Clip 3
• The location with this clip is the hospital and
when we see the little girl that is the middle of
nowhere I gather the impression that it is the
cave where the plat will take place.
7. Location Clip 4
• The location for this clip is in the cave where
all the creepy stuff starts happening . The cave
is where the plot happens and because there
is no natural lighting it is all dark.
8. Costume Clip 3
• In this clip the only costume we really see is
the hospital gown which means she would
have been in hospital for a long time so it
gives us a time frame of how long she's been
in hospital.
9. Costume Clip 4
• The costume in this clip we see 4 character
with very different dress codes. There is a
sporty girl, casual dressed girl, a young girl
wearing a sporty casual clothing wear. This will
represent their different personalities that the
characters have.
10. Props Clip 3
• The props in this scene are the heartbeat
monitor and the cake. The cake is used to
show the occasion of the young girl as it is her
birthday. The heartbeat monitor will help
ensure the women gets better as makes it
look more realistic.
11. Props clip 4
• In this clip we see many different props here is
a small list of the props.
• Head torch
• Camera
• Ax
• From this we see more props because to do
climbing a lot of props are needed to climb so
to make it more realistic are used.
12. Sound Clip 3
• Diegetic Sound- In this clip you hear the heart
monitor beep this will gives the impression to the
audience that she is alive. When she leaves the
corridor with the the footsteps also show she's
taking heavy steps while running. The sounds are
exaggerated to build more tension, the sounds
increase the suspense
• Non-Diegetic- In this clip you hear a slight sound
of music giving more tension to the scene. There
isnt many non-diegetic sounds, the music that is
played adds to the suspense.
13. Sound Clip 4
• Diegetic- In this clip we hear footsteps in a wet
flooded area so we hear the splash sounds. We
then hear the equipment being used against the
wall. We also hear the monster roar and growl
which gives it animal characteristics. The sound
of water is realistic when going in a cave.
• Non Diegetic- We hear the music when the
monster comes to the character and is fully seen
by them. The music will then create more tension
to the scene.
