Monitoring the environment has always been a priority for mankind: rain events have profound repercussions on the safety of people, on the fruition of natural resources and on the organisation of human activities. The currently available instruments for measuring rainfall are indeed reliable, but not sufficiently distributed and integrated on the territory. The use of IoT solutions for monitoring the environment is the inevitable scenario towards which we are moving. WaterView opens the way to the collection of an enormous amount of rain data deliverable to end users at an unprecedented speed.
