G E T L E A D E R S H I P F I T ! • SOLUTIONS CONNECTION DETERMINATION ASCENT PERSEVERANCE CREATIVITY
Welcome
Last year we announced a major evolution of our
vision and mission, and launched our new brand as
The Leadership Investment. For over 17 years we have
successfully created a pipeline of successful women leaders
across our business community. We are proud of our legacy
while we recognize the necessity to do more. Bottom-line,
we need more businesses experiencing the power of shared
leadership. Colorado has such a progressive image, but we
lag nationally and globally in gender diversified leadership
teams across all business sectors. We have the desire to
change these statistics meaningfully, not just incrementally.
Today, we will showcase Colorado in a very positive light
through our nationally and globally known local speakers, Success Award finalists and
winners, and executive panelists! We have brought the best and brightest to help all
of us Get Leadership Fit.
More than a theme for today, we are advancing a mindset shift. Individuals and
organizations need to be Leadership Fit for the journey of achieving sustainable
economic prosperity and positive organizational health. I’m thrilled to be working
side-by-side with our member companies, our volunteers, our board, and our staff to
make these mindset and programmatic changes within The Leadership Investment.
It is this community of support that will continually challenge us to break barriers
and push harder for relevant leadership education, effective mentoring and coaching,
and unparalleled networking.
The Women’s Success Forum is our signature event, bringing together all of the very
best that we strive for at The Leadership Investment. It takes an amazing level of
support and commitment to bring this event to life. For nearly a year, a steering
committee made up of volunteers from our corporate membership base and our
internal team have planned this event. We are extremely grateful for this team’s work,
the participation of corporate members, and our generous sponsors and donors.
We invite you to spend today networking among this impressive group of leaders
as well as re-connecting with your mind, body and soul as you choose the strategies
to Get Leadership Fit for yourself and your organizations. You are truly our greatest
asset today and tomorrow, and we will make meaningful changes with your support
and leadership.
Welcome to the 2014 Women’s Success Forum!

Joe Juliano
President & CEO, IQNavigator
“Joe is a strong believer in doing the
right thing. He will search for the right
people and the right leadership for
executive positions with the best
person for the job – no matter their
gender. At the top of his “to do” list
is to refocus the company as a
procurement technology leader by
doing the right thing, and that just
comes naturally for Joe.”
– Traci Kellner
SVP, Human Resources, IQNavigator
J
oe’s leadership at IQNavigator has
created both opportunities and role
models for advancement within the
company. The company, under Joe’s
tutelage, has grown in gender diversity,
illustrated by its 40 percent female staff
and 53 percent of managers.
Joe joined IQNavigator as president and
CEO in 2013 and has made several internal
moves, including refocusing the company
as a pure technology play, selling off its
managed service division and reforming the
entire executive team to grow the company.
He joined the 13-year-old company and set
to work to change its course, and brought
hundreds of his employees, customers and
partners on board with his vision.
In an industry dominated by men, Joe has
recruited top female leaders in technology.
These female leaders chose IQNavigator
over other companies because they saw
real opportunities to innovate and impact
the future of the company by empowering
a diverse team to implement far-reaching
measures that evolve the IQNavigator
technology.
As President and CEO of IQNavigator, Joe is
responsible for capitalizing on IQNavigator’s
industry leading position to deliver differen-
tiated value to customers. He brings over 25
years of technology experience, SaaS, and
procurement and supply chain solutions.

women executives. In addition to his
consistent and focused engagement

t enVision, Alain assists clients in driving
business transformation and achieving
higher performance. He is a native of
France and understands what being an
“outsider” feels like, as many women can
often feel, especially in male-dominated
industries and executive positions. He
brings a unique perspective, sound advice
and empathy to women on boards and in
managerial roles that help achieve that
higher performance. He understands from a
multi-cultural perspective what it means to
sacrifice in order to create a life you want.
He co-chaired the Annual Breakfast
committee, has been a four-year mentor at
the Mentor’s Walk, and currently co-chairs
the Membership Committee, all for The
Leadership Investment. He’s passionate
about The Leadership Investment and its
vision as well as a strong proponent of
women and their strength in the workplace.
Alain spends his free time with his wife,
Kelly, and their two children. He loves
movies, swimming and yoga, and is involved
with youth soccer.
“He is a leader with a vision and
willingness to take risks. Through
piloting diversity and inclusion training
for his entire management staff, and
championing internal and external
mentoring programs for all employees,
including women and people of
color, Steve brings a commitment
to excellence.”

As one of the employee resource

is dedicated to helping women
employees advance their careers,
demonstrate their leadership

programs that help other women
become more financially literate.
Charles Schwab hosted more than 400
events during the Financial Life Planning
for Women Month in May 2012 and 2013,
reaching more than 10,000 attendees. In
2014, the initiative earned recognition as a
top “model practice” among San Francisco
Bay Area companies when it showcased
during the San Francisco Department on

The Charles Schwab Foundation’s “Money

management skills to help them save,

Schwab leaders host site visits for young
students in order to expose them to
Schwab’s mission, value and culture as well

This series offers networking opportunities

IMA’s mission is to protect assets and
make a difference, starting with its
employees. The company wants to
ensure that it’s providing the best work
environment possible and have the
employees enjoy coming to work in an
energetic atmosphere that helps them
put their best foot forward every day.
IMA is 100 percent employee owned and
privately held. It’s known to promote
qualified women from within. In the
Production side/sales department their top
producer is a woman; she’s focused on the
construction industry. Both company-wide
and in the Denver office, IMA employee
base is over half women, with the Denver
office’s upper-level managers and vice
presidents made up largely of women.
The IMA foundation represents the
employees’ passions; therefore, the
decisions about donations and participation
come from them. IMA involves itself in
their five-city region for all donations and
participation.
Some of the varied and instrumental
community work that the IMA employees
are involved in throughout the year: Habitat
for Humanity, “I Make A Difference Day,”
Colorado I Have a Dream, The Women’s
Foundation of Colorado, The Leadership

Foundation – school partner program.
IMA employees, for the last seven years,
go every week to tutor K-8 school children
for two hours a week for the whole school
year. IMA’s employees and their Foundation
live their mission of putting their best foot
forward.
