Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, is an international NGO supporting health
programs to improve the health of women and their families. Jhpiego-Kenya works in close
collaboration with both the Ministry of Medical Services and the Ministry of Public Health and
Sanitation in the areas of HIV, Malaria, TB, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Reproductive
Health and Family Planning. We are currently recruiting Drivers/ Office Assistants who are team
players, dedicated, and highly motivated willing to work in a high pressure office requiring
multitasking.
LADY DRIVERS /OFFICE ASSISTANTS (2Positions)
(Nairobi & Machakos)
Jhpiego is seeking to recruit Lady Drivers/Office Assistants to partner with a dynamic professional
team in the Nairobi, office and project Office in Machakos.
Responsibilities;
 Driving Jhpiego office vehicle on official trips as necessary
 Ensuring that Jhpiego’s vehicle is well maintained and policies are adhered to
 Maintaining vehicle mileage and related records as required
 Ensure that the office vehicle has necessary equipment/accessories
 Assisting with cleaning and other office duties like making photocopies and binding of
documents, packing training materials for distribution and the office reception duties
Required Qualifications
 Minimum O-level education
 Valid Kenyan Drivers License
 Minimum five years’ experience of driving, three years of which should be on up-
country routes and experience in 4x4 vehicles.
 Good knowledge of Kenyan traffic laws
 Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and trouble shooting
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
 Proficient in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili
 Excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle a variety of assignments
sometimes under pressure of deadlines
 Preference will be given to applicants from the respective local area
