location actors and props

1. Organization of Location, Actors and Props
Location -
For my main cover image I will not be using any background in the shot,
only an actor will be used so for this all I will need is an area with good
lighting to take the images. Other images in the magazine will also be done
in this way when concerning artists, often with plain backgrounds or with
the backgrounds being very simple and the focus being on the actors. My
main concern in terms of location will be having adequate lighting for the
shots.
Actors -
18+ which fits the demongraphic I’m aiming for with my magazine. I am
aware of hip-hop culture and fashion and so will be able to tailor my photos
to fit this image, in clothing worn and other aspects. For my main cover
image and feature artist I will be creating the persona of a rapper and for
this will be using a mask as part of that rappers persona and also as a way
to remove any problem of an actor not ‘fitting’ a hip-hop image as the focus
will now be on the mask other than them.
Props -
The main prop I will be using is going to be the mask for my main artist, it
will mostly obscure the main actors face apart from their eyes and will used
in a close-up shot for the main cover of the magazine and will feature again
in the double page spread. Other than this, I will possibly use props such
as shoes/clothing or music accessories as images relating to the side
features in my magazine such as fashion. Throughout the images I will
ensure that the clothing worn and anything present in the images is very
relevant to hip-hop culture and fits the idea of a hip-hop magazine.
