The Flat plan represents how my music magazine will be laid out each month. I have chosen to include a range of full-page and smaller adverts of
products/events my 16-24 demographic are interested in as this age bracket are likely to buy into what’s advertised. The Australia Media Matchmaker
study indicated that 46% of customers find that magazines are useful in making a decision on what to purchase. The Roper Public Affairs survey showed
that 48% of people felt that advertising in magazines made them more interesting. So overall, I believe that advertising will allow me to connect further
with my audience, whilst also breaking up large proportions of information. The majority of the adverts will be directly linked to music, such as concerts,
albums and instruments. There are a variety of different layout styles making sure that the look is always fresh and appealing, maintaining the audiences’
interest. The text to image ratio is varied upon different pages in order to not over faze the audience with text or lose their attention due to superfluous
images. In places there are large quantities of text, these areas are there to inform, educate and interest the reader.
