■ Define what the board is for and identify what decisions you should
make. When there are no objectives, it is not necessary to meet. If the
points are clear beforehand and surprises are eliminated, the quality of
the decisions improves.

4. DETERMINETHE AGENDA ANDTHOSE
WHO PARTICIPATE INTHE MEETING
■ Determine who participates in the meeting based on the decisions to be
made. More people than necessary will make the meeting
unproductive. It only summons people with a direct role in the goals
that motivate the work meeting.

PROVIDE PARTICIPANTS SUBJECT
INFORMATION
■ To expedite the work, indicate how much time it is necessary to take for
each point of the agenda, according to the importance and complexity
of each one. A sterile discussion is not productive.

6. Meetings are not, in general, a reason to excite your collaborators or co-
workers. However, they do much of the majority of the work that
organizations do, without them we could not reach consensus, create or
exchange ideas.
