What is the best strategy to ensure that a business
meeting can effectively achieve its objectives?
Gathering the staff, coordinating issues, planning the exhibition and not getting
lost in the attempt, seems to be a challenge for those who seek to specify this
type of meeting.
With specific assistants, a set guideline and limited topics, the work meeting you
wish to conduct will be perfectly routed. It is necessary, though, to strive because
the appointment is not a boring encounter, but an instance to discuss ideas and
make decisions among all attendees. Only in this way will he be able to specify
the clear and precise objectives, which led him to organize the meeting, and his
team will not have the desire to look at the clock and wish that the hours pass
quickly.
The best strategy is to keep in mind the reason why the meeting is organized,
the points to be addressed and, above all, to think about the benefits for the
entire team. This strategy should compose the following key points:
• Define the purpose of the meeting and the topics to be discussed.
• Convene only the people directly involved in the issues to be addressed.
• Calculate the duration of the meeting. For a meeting to be effective, it should not
exceed an hour and a half. Beyond this time, the attention and participation of the
attendees will decrease.
• Reserve time to discuss extra issues at the end, to make it more participatory.
• Attach the necessary documentation to the call. The previous information is very
important to be more productive at the same time of the meeting.
• Prepare the appropriate space that has all the necessary
material (cannon, wifi etc.) so that attendees can carry out
their intervention.
• For the development of the meeting, it is essential that there
is a moderator to ensure its good development.
• Prevent band formation among attendees. In the middle of
the discussion and the exchange of visions, it is necessary that
the exhibitor maintains a collective position, avoiding the
sides.
• For the closure, which is the most important phase,
conclusions must be drawn, actions defined, those responsible
and the execution deadlines.
• Finally, someone must be appointed to carry out the minutes
of the meeting, where it is necessary to clearly and concisely
detail the topics discussed, the interventions and the
conclusions.
These are some key steps that integrate a good strategy that
guarantees the objectives of the organization to address an
accurate, dynamic and successful work meeting.

In a meeting we must give importance to the most delicate

view that can help you find a better solution.

If something does not yet exist, do not mention it in a
business meeting. It is not worth showing off projects,
products or services that are still in the planning stage or
that only exist on paper. You can easily burn yourself with
your customers! Avoid being too protagonist before others,
if you do it you will fall badly and the least, they will want
to be will listen to you

is necessary for the person in charge to maintain a collective
position, avoiding looking for a culprit when facing a problem.
This does not mean ignoring negligence or misconduct, but
these can be treated promptly and personally. The main thing
is to find solutions.
