The Pros And Cons Of Hypertension
Hypertension could most likely be the scariest word in the world to encounter if one faces it in their everyday life. Hypertension shouldn't be a word
one should tread lightly on when they hear it from a medical professional. They should take careful consideration because this word could be the factor
of life or death. According to Webster's Dictionary,Hypertension is when high blood pressure is occurring throughout one's body. High blood pressure
can cause numerous other conditions on top of hypertension that one may not be aware about. Sometimes Hypertension can be acquired from the
habits one gained from years and years of being used to doing actions. It is a treacherous condition to have but a person can maintain their health to
steer clear from high blood pressure and diseases that can succeed from it. To begin with, Hypertension is a life–threatening condition that is the
leading factor of heart diseases, such as, strokes (MacGregor and Kaplan 4). Strokes are commons in certain areas of the world and can also be
seen in different age groups, genders, and ethnic groups. These factors can dictate the likely hood of contact with the medical condition. Studies
have shown that women compared to men have a lower risk of strokes or other cardiovascular diseases up until the age of sixty (MacGregor and
Kaplan 37). When the woman hits the age around 60 and older her risk will increase because of her age. Not only can age affect the chances of
cardiovascular diseases

The Pros And Cons Of The Right To Privacy
If we discuss the right of privacy then the first question comes in front of us that What is right to privacy? Is this really beneficial and what is pro
and con of Right to privacy and what entity can be considered inside of this right and when it is introduced as publically and answer is, the privilege to
security suggest to the idea that one's close to home data is shielded from open investigation is know as Right to Privacy, it is also a part of The Fourth
Amendment to the Constitution of the United States ensures that–
"the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and
no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the
persons or things to be seized".
"The Right to Privacy" (4 Harvard L.R. 193 (Dec. 15, 1890)) is a law audit article composed by Samuel Warren andLouis Brandeis and distributed in
the 1890 Harvard Law Review. Samuel Warren was an attorney and he moved on from Harvard College in 1875 and successfully complete an
academic degree second in his class at Harvard Law School in 1877. The primary spot understudy was his companion, Louis Brandeis, later a justice
of the United States Supreme Court. Getting closer to achieving the finish of 1890 they distributed their celebrated law audit article "The Right to

The Pros And Cons Of Climate Change
Environmentalists believe that climate change is a significant issue that the government needs to work on it. Scientists have explained that many
events including drought, flooding, severe weather, rising sea levels, acidifying rains, and wildfires have affected people's lives and the planet due to
climate change. Climate change is caused by increasing heat in the atmosphere. The consumption of fossil fuels and other emissions are trapping carbon
dioxide in the air, which increases the temperature and the more carbon dioxide humans produce the more the environment rises in temperature (Meyer,
2017). The hotter temperature affects environment, economy, health, and security. For example, people who live near coal mines are at higher risk to
get asthma than other places, or fishermen suffer from ocean acidification because their income is heavily relying on fishing (Frank, 2012). These two
examples indicate that climate change is threatening the environment and can create disruptions.
The purpose of this memorandum is to propose some policy alternatives to advocate for a carbon tax in order to prevent climate change and implement
environmental strategies. However, policymakers and environmentalists have argued about the advantages and failures of a carbon tax. Many
conservatives have not considered the reality of climate change and they intend to follow their own economic interests instead of serving public
interests (Ball, 2015). Policy makers need to take action on this

The Pros and Cons of Advertising Essay
"Just do it" – "I'm lovin' it" – "think different". What do these statements have in common? They are slogans for some of the most well–known
companies around the world. We immediately associate them with their respective companies because they have been advertised to their audiences as
such. Advertisements have become such an integral part of corporations but why are they so important? It seems as if they affect our social
psychology when distinguishing our needs from our wants. We should accordingly ask ourselves whether the use of advertisements to create demand
creates a positive or negative impact on society. Conversely; does it stimulate demand and provide a positive influence on the general economy or,
does it create a false sense...show more content...
This creates norms and popular culture that have been imposed and not accepted by society. To sum up, this essay will attempt to prove thatadvertising
can positively impact society if individuals look at them from a critical perspective but can also pressure consumers to make purchases they wouldn't
otherwise make.
Webster's dictionary defines a habit as: "a usual way of behaving: something that a person does often in a regular and repeated way". Civilization has
gotten use to the act of consuming advertisements. It seems that we now consume more than five thousand advertisements daily (C. Johnson) but we
seem to focus more on the products of advertisements we more steadily use. This can be reflected in the way we decided what product we wish to
purchase, and even which advertisements we chose to consume. We can better understand this message through Andrew S. C. Ehrenberg statement in
his article:
The role of repetitive advertising of well established brands is therefore predominantly defensive – to reinforce already developed repeat buying habits.
The consumer tends to perceive advertising for brands he is already buying, and repetitive advertising enables the habit to continue to operate in the
face of competition. The consumer does not have to be persuaded to think of his habitual brands as better than others, but has to be reinforced in
thinking of them as at least no

Pros And Cons Of College Essay
As pounded in our heads by teachers and adults, after high school the best idea is to go to college. This may not be the case for everyone. There are
many pros and cons for college. College is not for everyone, and I believe students should have the freedom to choose the path they take. For people
who desire to acquire a well paying job, a degree may be required. Most data points that the fastest growing job categories require at least a college
degree. Getting a degree can be as simple as going for 2 years or even 6. Getting a college degree will draw employers attention and gain respect. Some
people who have a degree may get paid more at their job than others who do not. Expanding your knowledge is important as there is always more to
learn. In my opinion, college is the best idea for any age student.
When planning your future, you can decide between a two–year community college or a four–year university. You can base your decision depending on
your career field or job you want to pursue. Some jobs may not even require a degree, in which college is unnecessary. Some jobs may only require an
associate's degree, so why waste your money at a university. Some may say that the experience at a four–year university is critical to growing up. Mr.
Perlstein states, "the college experience– a rite of passage as it was meant to be– must have come to an end." Rick Perlstein believes that the four–year
experience is meaningful. At a four–year, you may experience more diversity, and

Abortion: Pro and Con Essay
Abortion: Pro and Con
In a pluralistic culture of unwanted pregnancy, there exists a contradiction between a relative sense of morality and the democratic ideal of free
choice. Aristotle provided the first written record of this irresolvable contradiction in his book Politics, saying, "When couples have children in
excess, let abortion be procured before sense and life have begun; what may or may not be lawfully done in these cases depends on the question of life
and sensation." (1) The controversy has always consisted of two sides: "Pro–Lifers", who believe that abortion is morally wrong and should not be
allowed, and "Pro–Choicers", who support the woman's right to choose the outcome of her pregnancy in all cases. There is also...show more content...
If these aborted fetuses are capable of developing in the same way as babies who have been carried to term, it would seem that both groups are equally
human. I think I'm safe in saying that most Americans, whether Pro–Choice or Pro–Life, object to infanticide, so, by this logic, they should be equally
opposed to abortion.
* Breast Cancer Link – Several researchers believe they have found a link between abortion and breast cancer. They claim this is due to the buildup of
estrogen that occurs during pregnancy and is normally released after birth or miscarriage. In the event of an abortion however, the high level of
estrogen is maintained, thereby increasing the woman's risk of breast cancer.
Fetal Awareness– Certain studies have demonstrated that aborted fetuses have been heard to cry from as early as 21 weeks and some doctors
believe that distress can be felt as early as 13 weeks. Many abortions may even cause pain for the fetus.
Pro–Choice Arguments
* Women's Right's– Some Pro–Choicers see the ability to choose whether or not to have an abortion as the single most important right a woman can
have. They see legal restrictions on abortion as a serious blow to the role of women in society.
* Fetus as Lump of Tissue – Beause the fetus is entirely dependant on its mother for support, it is not really a living entity, but merely a lump of tissue
that belongs to the mother. Therefore, the fetus has no human rights, and the

Pros and Cons of Studying Abroad Essay
Study Abroad
Studying abroad is an act whereby students move to different countries other than their own to pursue education opportunities. Education of this form
can be primary, secondary or tertiary levels. Education has taken tremendous leaps over the years. It has experienced significant changes and
advancements. Because of these changes, many people are increasingly becoming educated. Education has also reached the far corners of the world
and more people are attaining it. In the present day, countries strive to become more and more developed. For this reason there is an increasing need
for better education. Societies with advanced education systems and many educated people attain growth and development rapidly. For this reason,

It is said that education in the west provides practicability and prepares people to educate themselves in life. Studying abroad goes beyond academic
fulfillment. It exposes people to a different worldviews altogether. People learn many things in different countries. Studying abroad exposes people to
different cultures. It teaches about different cultural practices such as rites, rituals and relations. It helps people appreciate these different cultures, as
well. It also educates about different ways of living for example the foods people eat and pass–time activities in which they involve themselves.
Studying abroad also helps to promote inter–cultural relations and communications (Deardorff 253). It also helps people learn different languages.
Another merit for studying abroad is that it enriches someone with knowledge and inter–cultural communication skills that one can apply in their home
country. When people study abroad and return to their home countries, they are able to improve their societies with their acquired knowledge and
they are also able to relate and work well with foreign people in their countries. Another reason why people seek to study abroad is to attain part time
job opportunities even as they pursue their studies. This earns them incomes that they can save or spend for their personal development. People also
involve themselves in volunteer work as part of the process of learning new work relations, inter–cultural

Pros And Cons Of Deforestation
If we humans allow deforestation many animals can become extinct. We should not allow deforestation. Some people say deforestation is good
because we get more livable space however carbon dioxide get's increased in the area. Animals that need rainforest will die and become extinct.
Carbon dioxide gets increased in the area. And last it will Hinder the production of future medicines. These are three reasons to show deforestation is
bad.
Animals that need rainforest will die and become extinct. In the text of "Cons Of Deforestation" it says "When forests are cut down, it is not only the
trees that are being lost, but also countless amounts of wildlife, such as mammals, birds, insects, amphibians and many other animals that make them
their home". This shows that animals are losing there homes when trees get cut down and they will die and become extinct because of this. Next in
the text of "Cons Of Deforestation it say's "In fact, there has been a drastic decline in the amount of wildlife in certain areas that have experienced
severe effects of deforestation". This shows that wildlife is already going down because of deforestation in some...show more content...

English-Only America
English–Only America – Pro and Con
As everyone agrees, English has been America's common language since its foundation. In recent years, however, English is in danger of losing its
status as a national language. As you would see in metropolises and cities in Border States, use of non–English languages among immigrants has been
increasingly common. Some immigrants stick to their native language in everyday life and can't speak English well even after several years of
immigration. Because the lack of common language causes a lot of problems, some argue that the use of other languages should be legally restrained.
But other people oppose it by saying that restraint will put non–English speaking people under pressure and the lack...show more content...
In his article, Avila concentrates on providing objective information regarding the Proposition 63 to Californians who are going to vote. He first
explains about an insufficient environment for immigrants to learn English, giving a specific example of a lack of ESL classes. As seen in the
following sentence, "San Francisco Community College Centers had about 3,000 names on waiting lists for English as a Second Language (ESL)
classes in Asian and Hispanic areas last year,"(Avila 345) his sentence is very particular and contain concrete numbers. He makes his article
unquestionable by using those facts. Then he claims that the bilingual support is necessary and not a waste of money. Although he rarely expresses
his personal opinion in this article, his own arguments are well understood from the facts he gave. He wants to say that governments and society are
to blame for immigrants not to learn English because they have fault in not providing sufficient environment to learn English. Because Avila's article
was on the local newspaper, his article is intended to be read by everyone who is concerned with Proposition 63, mainly voters in California. He is an
activist for non–English speakers' right. His use of objective information is very successful to persuade readers, especially for people like him who
don't have authority or power.

The Pros And Cons Of Shopping
Shopping is something people hate or love for those who love it there is a reason for it. Buying things is a form of pleasure and the more we buy
the less pleasure we get. As we shop we have to choose who we want to be a consumer or a citizen. Consumers are always going to choose something
that works best for them regardless of all others and certainly with regard for themselves. Citizens will always explore their impact on others and
what's best for them and not themselves. Consumers will never be citizens because of the routine shoppers fall into, marketing strategies companies
utilize to maximize profits and consumer capitalism.
Hype is when a company promotes and exaggerates a product to get consumers excited to buy the product. Companies do this is by releasing specs or
pictures of the product months before the release date. As Dara O'Rourke in "Citizen Consumer" tells us "From the increasingly frenzied media
coverage, I knew everything about the phone's specs: its processor, memory, screen size, camera resolution, software" using this tactic companies
greatly increase their profit. Apple does this the best because the consumer knows they usually release a new iPhone once a year and every year we
always have leaks of the design and specs before the keynote event where apple announces their new iPhone. Once they officially release information
about their new product everyone is ready to purchase the item because the leaks and the announcement have created hype. Also by

European Union Pros And Cons
Do you think it is useful for a country to join into a union, especially the European Union, to strengthen their economic position? The question could be
simple to answer but an individual must look much deeper into the situation. For instance, what are the pros and cons of joining a union? The European
Union has many pros but also many cons.
The European Union was formed in February 1992 with the signing of the Maastricht Treaty. It consist of originally twelve members– Belgium,
Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, and Germany. Those twelve members originally
formed the European Union until 1995 when three other countries joined the Union – Austria, Finland, and...show more content...
Also, with it being a single market, there are no barriers between the other countries. With the removal of custom barriers it will enable producers to cut
production costs, which will result in export increases. In addition to this the integration into the European Union will encourage foreign investment.
With encouraging foreign investment it will create new jobs and will bring new technologies and experience into East–central European industry and
trade. The process of adapting to a single market may be difficult, but it is necessary for economic growth in the long run. European Union regional
policy seeks to reduce social and economic differences between senior and new member states. That is saying the Union is trying to allow the newer
member states to compete with the older member states. This helps to solve the problems of a transition period. (Venckute) There will also be lower
interest rates. Why do you think there are going to be lower interest rates? Interest rates depend on the state of an economic cycle. The interest rate has
to be right for the economic area. That is the issue; not that they should be higher or lower. The interest rate is so important in all this that is said. It is
only going to effect the growth and unemployment reduction, if the interest rate is at the high rate level it will produce nil growth and high
unemployment. (Nieboer)
The information below will discuss the cons of the European Union. Many

Open Innovation Examples
In modern society, people become more connected due to the technological advancement. There is a same situation in business world, companies are
willing to share information with each other in order to get more ideas and skills, such phenomena call open innovation.
Open innovation aims at connecting external and internal resources to facilitate innovation. (Lindegaard, S., 2010) It involves a two–way process,
which are inbound and outbound processes. Inbound process involves using ideas, resources to develop their own company's business while outbound
process involves selling the ideas, resources to others.
By adapting more outside ideas, companies can have more innovative and creative ideas, which facilitate technology development. Example of open
innovation:
Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G), the world's largest consumer goods company, is a good example that adopted open innovation to the company.
P&G used an innovation model called Connect + Develop. (Lindegaard, S., 2010) It designated for accessing externally developed intellectual property
to accelerate internal innovation and sharing our internally developed assets. Connect+Develop is a P&G open innovation strategy, which collaborates
with the areas shown on the right hand side. There is a website of P&G's Connect+Develop program, which allows external partners to submit

For the pros of open innovation, it reduces the cost for research and development (R&D). When a company encounters a challenge on R&D, it can find
other companies to solve the challenge rather than deal with it solely, which may be a cheaper way for solving problems. Also, open innovation
encourages companies to connecting internal resource with external resource and out–licensing products, which increases revenues and market share.
With the sharing of ideas amount external partners, companies gain more ideas for enhancing the rate of new products and services

Internet Pros And Cons Essay
"In today's world, the internet is a huge part of everyone's daily lives. People are extremely reliant on the internet because most jobs and schools
use it as a tool to increase efficiency and to save time. It seems that the internet is massively beneficial but it also has its cons. The internet can be
beneficial because it can be a place for people so escape and help with their mental health. Another reason the internet is good is because it is an
amazing tool that allows a person to access any information within minutes. Some cons that come with having access to the internet is that it can be
addictive and this results in a person always spending their time on the internet rather than doing other things that can benefit their health and life.
Another con that could also be consider a pro is social media and the press. Social media and the press often cause more harm than good because

It seems like bullying is more common on the internet because the bully is able to hide behind their screen so they can say pretty much whatever
they want without any repercussions. I think that schools should definitely be aloud to keep tabs on a student's social media, but there should be
rules so no one is being taken advantage of. The school should only keep tabs on a student's social media if they are suspicious of bullying or if
someone brings it to their attention. Bullying is not okay so if this will be an effective way to stop it then I say that it is a good idea. I also think that it
is important that schools monitor what is being searched because without this, students could waste their time looking at pointless things or they could
also use the internet to cheat on their assignments so having restrictions will ensure that students cannot access these sights while at

The Pros and Cons of Online Classes Essay
Online Classes: Advantages and Disadvantages
Most people have very busy lives, thus not leaving much time for anything else. Many of these people would like to have the time to return to school
for different reasons (i.e. earning a higher degree, taking a class on something they enjoy, ect.). What comes to mind when trying to fit schooling into
ones very busy schedule is online classes. Taking classes online has become very popular lately. Although popular, these classes have their advantages
and disadvantages. I will examine the issues of online based classes to give a better insight as to which one would prefer; online classes or face–to–face

This is not true. An online course is just as demanding as any other course. However, one can choose when they are available to do the coursework.
The online environment provides this type of flexibility. People always complain about not having enough time to do things that they want. Well
now there is no excuse for not having enough time to attend school because now one can attend on their own time. Another advantage to taking
online classes is the very easy access and the conveniences. To access an online class all you need to have is a computer that has internet access. If
an individual does not have a personal computer they can access a public computer in many different places. One can check with their nearest campus
computer lab. Some will allow use of the computers for online classes (Brown). All one has to do is get on to the internet and go to the website where
their online class is conducted.
Online classes offer a high degree of flexibility. Although there are deadlines to be met each week, the student has a great deal of freedom as to when
he/she visits the ?virtual classroom? and prepares assignments for presentation. Studies have found that online learning experiences can be equally or
more effective than traditional classroom instruction. The level of interactivity is actually increased in an online environment, so that students get
more one–on–one attention from the instructor and have more dialogue with classmates

Vaccines Pros And Cons Essay
It has come to my attention that many people have begun to prevent their children from being vaccinated. Many of these actions are based off of false
data suggesting negative side effects to these vaccines. This is upsetting because vaccines are so incredibly important. There vaccines are so important
because vaccines are humanities number one defense against illnesses which once killed millions, vaccines are almost always harmless to the user
while protecting them, and vaccines help those around a child just as much as they help the child itself. In the past, illnesses such as smallpox were
humanity's greatest threat. Some nations, such as the Aztecs or the Native Americans, were thriving in many ways, yet were wiped out primarily
because they lacked an immunity to certain illnesses. Vaccines are our tool of transferring this immunity into a person. By having a large population
with this immunity, there is little chance such a illness could have anywhere near the effects it once had. Despite the obvious benefit that vaccines give
the user, some still believe that they are more harmful than helpful. This is truly ridiculous. The reports of "vaccines causing autism" are some of the
best examples of fraudulent science that there are, yet people still believe them. Even if the statistics from those studies were true, you would...show

Pro And Con Essay On Abortion
The issue of abortion is a topic in which people have strongly contrasting views. I will examine both sides of the argument, specifically whether or not
abortion should be illegal and then come to a conclusion.
It is claimed that when a baby is conceived, life is started. Taking that babies life is the same as taking another person's life, which in this society, is
viewed as wrong. So why is abortion different? Many women (who's pregnancy is unplanned) discover they're pregnant around 4/5 weeks into the
pregnancy. At this point in your pregnancy, the foetus has developed a heart which only has one chamber rather than four, but the babies heart still
beats at 100 beats per minute. Most abortions must be carried out before twenty–four weeks of pregnancy. At this stage, the babies brain has grown
rapidly and their lungs are developed enough to help her survive, if she was born prematurely. This is the latest stage that a woman can have an
abortion and at this point, the baby is a human being and would be able to survive if...show more content...
(Statistics from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8765248) Rape is never the victims fault so why should the women carry the child that was
conceived against her will. Well, hypothetically let's say that she delivers the child and a few years later she no longer wants the child because it
brings back bad memories. Would she have the right to murder the child? No because he is a human and under Article 2: The Right to Life, no one can
try to end your life, no matter the circumstances of your conception. This still applies to when the child is still inside their mother as they are a living
being. Another argument that 'Pro–Choice' people make is that there isn't enough land and resources for the growing population so abortion is in a
way, population control. However, would you kill a born child because you thought there were too many for the planet? The answer is no, because

Picture a scenario where crowds of people surround you. You don't know who they are. Hundreds of people of all cultures, ethnicities, and genders

Legal or illegal, we should all be granted the same opportunities in order to provide a substantial foundation for our families. Still, people are
willing to risk their lives' to enter the United States. Some may succeed, while some will be unsuccessful and get deported back to their own
country. They sacrifice everything in order to provide a sense of hope for their family. This is what the American Dream represents; being able to
prosper, raise a family, and live the means of a good life. Illegal immigrants long for a day where their offspring will develop into a successful
individual, rather than growing up in an environment of poverty and despair. Imagine your child working in the fields of Mexico only earning 50 to
60 pesos a day ($5–$6). He/she is planting crops under the blazing sun getting blisters on their feet. The heat consumes the dream and hopes they
aspire. People experience many difficulties while seeing more than they desire. Although immigrants approach the U.S. longing for wealth, in reality
wages are less than the average salary of Americans. Even so, immigrants gain strength to continue through the encouragement of their family. Another
problem that arises often from this controversial matter is education. Parents, coaches, teachers, and counselors tell students to stay in school because it
will eventually pay off in the long run. What would you do if your child was rejected from attending college and the chances of them becoming
successful

The Pros and Cons of Technology Essay
People very often debate whether technology is good or bad. Many people believe that technology can only cause harm to their lives and society,
while many others strongly defend the technologies which have made their lives much more leisurely and enriching than it could have been several

Refrigerators, gas and electric ovens, microwaves, vacuums, dishwashers....the list goes on and on. All these things have made housework
tremendously easier than it would have been about 100 years ago.
This results with both positive and negative effects. It has given us easier ways to get jobs done, leaving more time for other things, but the bad part
of this is what is chosen to do in this extra time. In many cases, this extra time is spent doing leisurely things, which might make us more happy, but
also has an effect on our health. Lately we have become aware of the dangers of heart disease and the health benefits of exercise....the exercise we
would have gotten 100 years ago just from doing our daily chores but now aren't getting enough of because we don't have to work as hard to do those
same chores.
This can be blamed on technology, but again, in fact it is our own fault because we chose to use the technology and spend the extra time lazing
around. Now, something that really bothers me about technology is what is made out of it. I often question why people spend so much time and
money trying to come up with so many useless things when we have global warming problems and starving children working in shoe factories. For
example, scientists spent years to make a clone of a sheep. Now let me ask you, is their any practical use in knowing how to clone a sheep?
Many people think that eventually this scientific advancement will lead into

The Pros And Cons Of Hypertension

  • 1. The Pros And Cons Of Hypertension Hypertension could most likely be the scariest word in the world to encounter if one faces it in their everyday life. Hypertension shouldn't be a word one should tread lightly on when they hear it from a medical professional. They should take careful consideration because this word could be the factor of life or death. According to Webster's Dictionary,Hypertension is when high blood pressure is occurring throughout one's body. High blood pressure can cause numerous other conditions on top of hypertension that one may not be aware about. Sometimes Hypertension can be acquired from the habits one gained from years and years of being used to doing actions. It is a treacherous condition to have but a person can maintain their health to steer clear from high blood pressure and diseases that can succeed from it. To begin with, Hypertension is a life–threatening condition that is the leading factor of heart diseases, such as, strokes (MacGregor and Kaplan 4). Strokes are commons in certain areas of the world and can also be seen in different age groups, genders, and ethnic groups. These factors can dictate the likely hood of contact with the medical condition. Studies have shown that women compared to men have a lower risk of strokes or other cardiovascular diseases up until the age of sixty (MacGregor and Kaplan 37). When the woman hits the age around 60 and older her risk will increase because of her age. Not only can age affect the chances of cardiovascular diseases Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. The Pros And Cons Of The Right To Privacy If we discuss the right of privacy then the first question comes in front of us that What is right to privacy? Is this really beneficial and what is pro and con of Right to privacy and what entity can be considered inside of this right and when it is introduced as publically and answer is, the privilege to security suggest to the idea that one's close to home data is shielded from open investigation is know as Right to Privacy, it is also a part of The Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States ensures that– "the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized". "The Right to Privacy" (4 Harvard L.R. 193 (Dec. 15, 1890)) is a law audit article composed by Samuel Warren andLouis Brandeis and distributed in the 1890 Harvard Law Review. Samuel Warren was an attorney and he moved on from Harvard College in 1875 and successfully complete an academic degree second in his class at Harvard Law School in 1877. The primary spot understudy was his companion, Louis Brandeis, later a justice of the United States Supreme Court. Getting closer to achieving the finish of 1890 they distributed their celebrated law audit article "The Right to Privacy" in the Harvard Law Review and it was the "most Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. The Pros And Cons Of Climate Change Environmentalists believe that climate change is a significant issue that the government needs to work on it. Scientists have explained that many events including drought, flooding, severe weather, rising sea levels, acidifying rains, and wildfires have affected people's lives and the planet due to climate change. Climate change is caused by increasing heat in the atmosphere. The consumption of fossil fuels and other emissions are trapping carbon dioxide in the air, which increases the temperature and the more carbon dioxide humans produce the more the environment rises in temperature (Meyer, 2017). The hotter temperature affects environment, economy, health, and security. For example, people who live near coal mines are at higher risk to get asthma than other places, or fishermen suffer from ocean acidification because their income is heavily relying on fishing (Frank, 2012). These two examples indicate that climate change is threatening the environment and can create disruptions. The purpose of this memorandum is to propose some policy alternatives to advocate for a carbon tax in order to prevent climate change and implement environmental strategies. However, policymakers and environmentalists have argued about the advantages and failures of a carbon tax. Many conservatives have not considered the reality of climate change and they intend to follow their own economic interests instead of serving public interests (Ball, 2015). Policy makers need to take action on this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. The Pros and Cons of Advertising Essay "Just do it" – "I'm lovin' it" – "think different". What do these statements have in common? They are slogans for some of the most well–known companies around the world. We immediately associate them with their respective companies because they have been advertised to their audiences as such. Advertisements have become such an integral part of corporations but why are they so important? It seems as if they affect our social psychology when distinguishing our needs from our wants. We should accordingly ask ourselves whether the use of advertisements to create demand creates a positive or negative impact on society. Conversely; does it stimulate demand and provide a positive influence on the general economy or, does it create a false sense...show more content... This creates norms and popular culture that have been imposed and not accepted by society. To sum up, this essay will attempt to prove thatadvertising can positively impact society if individuals look at them from a critical perspective but can also pressure consumers to make purchases they wouldn't otherwise make. Webster's dictionary defines a habit as: "a usual way of behaving: something that a person does often in a regular and repeated way". Civilization has gotten use to the act of consuming advertisements. It seems that we now consume more than five thousand advertisements daily (C. Johnson) but we seem to focus more on the products of advertisements we more steadily use. This can be reflected in the way we decided what product we wish to purchase, and even which advertisements we chose to consume. We can better understand this message through Andrew S. C. Ehrenberg statement in his article: The role of repetitive advertising of well established brands is therefore predominantly defensive – to reinforce already developed repeat buying habits. The consumer tends to perceive advertising for brands he is already buying, and repetitive advertising enables the habit to continue to operate in the face of competition. The consumer does not have to be persuaded to think of his habitual brands as better than others, but has to be reinforced in thinking of them as at least no Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Pros And Cons Of College Essay As pounded in our heads by teachers and adults, after high school the best idea is to go to college. This may not be the case for everyone. There are many pros and cons for college. College is not for everyone, and I believe students should have the freedom to choose the path they take. For people who desire to acquire a well paying job, a degree may be required. Most data points that the fastest growing job categories require at least a college degree. Getting a degree can be as simple as going for 2 years or even 6. Getting a college degree will draw employers attention and gain respect. Some people who have a degree may get paid more at their job than others who do not. Expanding your knowledge is important as there is always more to learn. In my opinion, college is the best idea for any age student. When planning your future, you can decide between a two–year community college or a four–year university. You can base your decision depending on your career field or job you want to pursue. Some jobs may not even require a degree, in which college is unnecessary. Some jobs may only require an associate's degree, so why waste your money at a university. Some may say that the experience at a four–year university is critical to growing up. Mr. Perlstein states, "the college experience– a rite of passage as it was meant to be– must have come to an end." Rick Perlstein believes that the four–year experience is meaningful. At a four–year, you may experience more diversity, and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Abortion: Pro and Con Essay Abortion: Pro and Con In a pluralistic culture of unwanted pregnancy, there exists a contradiction between a relative sense of morality and the democratic ideal of free choice. Aristotle provided the first written record of this irresolvable contradiction in his book Politics, saying, "When couples have children in excess, let abortion be procured before sense and life have begun; what may or may not be lawfully done in these cases depends on the question of life and sensation." (1) The controversy has always consisted of two sides: "Pro–Lifers", who believe that abortion is morally wrong and should not be allowed, and "Pro–Choicers", who support the woman's right to choose the outcome of her pregnancy in all cases. There is also...show more content... If these aborted fetuses are capable of developing in the same way as babies who have been carried to term, it would seem that both groups are equally human. I think I'm safe in saying that most Americans, whether Pro–Choice or Pro–Life, object to infanticide, so, by this logic, they should be equally opposed to abortion. * Breast Cancer Link – Several researchers believe they have found a link between abortion and breast cancer. They claim this is due to the buildup of estrogen that occurs during pregnancy and is normally released after birth or miscarriage. In the event of an abortion however, the high level of estrogen is maintained, thereby increasing the woman's risk of breast cancer. Fetal Awareness– Certain studies have demonstrated that aborted fetuses have been heard to cry from as early as 21 weeks and some doctors believe that distress can be felt as early as 13 weeks. Many abortions may even cause pain for the fetus. Pro–Choice Arguments * Women's Right's– Some Pro–Choicers see the ability to choose whether or not to have an abortion as the single most important right a woman can have. They see legal restrictions on abortion as a serious blow to the role of women in society. * Fetus as Lump of Tissue – Beause the fetus is entirely dependant on its mother for support, it is not really a living entity, but merely a lump of tissue that belongs to the mother. Therefore, the fetus has no human rights, and the

  • 8. Pros and Cons of Studying Abroad Essay Study Abroad Studying abroad is an act whereby students move to different countries other than their own to pursue education opportunities. Education of this form can be primary, secondary or tertiary levels. Education has taken tremendous leaps over the years. It has experienced significant changes and advancements. Because of these changes, many people are increasingly becoming educated. Education has also reached the far corners of the world and more people are attaining it. In the present day, countries strive to become more and more developed. For this reason there is an increasing need for better education. Societies with advanced education systems and many educated people attain growth and development rapidly. For this reason, ...show more content... It is said that education in the west provides practicability and prepares people to educate themselves in life. Studying abroad goes beyond academic fulfillment. It exposes people to a different worldviews altogether. People learn many things in different countries. Studying abroad exposes people to different cultures. It teaches about different cultural practices such as rites, rituals and relations. It helps people appreciate these different cultures, as well. It also educates about different ways of living for example the foods people eat and pass–time activities in which they involve themselves. Studying abroad also helps to promote inter–cultural relations and communications (Deardorff 253). It also helps people learn different languages. Another merit for studying abroad is that it enriches someone with knowledge and inter–cultural communication skills that one can apply in their home country. When people study abroad and return to their home countries, they are able to improve their societies with their acquired knowledge and they are also able to relate and work well with foreign people in their countries. Another reason why people seek to study abroad is to attain part time job opportunities even as they pursue their studies. This earns them incomes that they can save or spend for their personal development. People also involve themselves in volunteer work as part of the process of learning new work relations, inter–cultural Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Pros And Cons Of Deforestation If we humans allow deforestation many animals can become extinct. We should not allow deforestation. Some people say deforestation is good because we get more livable space however carbon dioxide get's increased in the area. Animals that need rainforest will die and become extinct. Carbon dioxide gets increased in the area. And last it will Hinder the production of future medicines. These are three reasons to show deforestation is bad. Animals that need rainforest will die and become extinct. In the text of "Cons Of Deforestation" it says "When forests are cut down, it is not only the trees that are being lost, but also countless amounts of wildlife, such as mammals, birds, insects, amphibians and many other animals that make them their home". This shows that animals are losing there homes when trees get cut down and they will die and become extinct because of this. Next in the text of "Cons Of Deforestation it say's "In fact, there has been a drastic decline in the amount of wildlife in certain areas that have experienced severe effects of deforestation". This shows that wildlife is already going down because of deforestation in some...show more content... In the text of "Cons Of Deforestation" it says " This means that cutting huge numbers of plants can have a very negative impact on the environment". This shows that it is not good for carbon dioxide to get increased in the area. Next in the text of "Cons of deforestation" it says "It will allow greenhouse gases to build up and contributing to global warming". This shows that why cutting down trees will have a negative effect on our environment for carbon dioxide. Last in the text of "Cons Of Deforestation" it says " Plants and trees play a vital role in keeping the planet habitable". • 10. English-Only America English–Only America – Pro and Con As everyone agrees, English has been America's common language since its foundation. In recent years, however, English is in danger of losing its status as a national language. As you would see in metropolises and cities in Border States, use of non–English languages among immigrants has been increasingly common. Some immigrants stick to their native language in everyday life and can't speak English well even after several years of immigration. He first explains about an insufficient environment for immigrants to learn English, giving a specific example of a lack of ESL classes. As seen in the following sentence, "San Francisco Community College Centers had about 3,000 names on waiting lists for English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in Asian and Hispanic areas last year,"(Avila 345) his sentence is very particular and contain concrete numbers. He makes his article unquestionable by using those facts. Then he claims that the bilingual support is necessary and not a waste of money. Although he rarely expresses his personal opinion in this article, his own arguments are well understood from the facts he gave. He wants to say that governments and society are to blame for immigrants not to learn English because they have fault in not providing sufficient environment to learn English. Because Avila's article was on the local newspaper, his article is intended to be read by everyone who is concerned with Proposition 63, mainly voters in California. He is an activist for non–English speakers' right. His use of objective information is very successful to persuade readers, especially for people like him who don't have authority or power. • 11. The Pros And Cons Of Shopping Shopping is something people hate or love for those who love it there is a reason for it. Buying things is a form of pleasure and the more we buy the less pleasure we get. As we shop we have to choose who we want to be a consumer or a citizen. Consumers are always going to choose something that works best for them regardless of all others and certainly with regard for themselves. Citizens will always explore their impact on others and what's best for them and not themselves. Consumers will never be citizens because of the routine shoppers fall into, marketing strategies companies utilize to maximize profits and consumer capitalism. Hype is when a company promotes and exaggerates a product to get consumers excited to buy the product. Companies do this is by releasing specs or pictures of the product months before the release date. As Dara O'Rourke in "Citizen Consumer" tells us "From the increasingly frenzied media coverage, I knew everything about the phone's specs: its processor, memory, screen size, camera resolution, software" using this tactic companies greatly increase their profit. Apple does this the best because the consumer knows they usually release a new iPhone once a year and every year we always have leaks of the design and specs before the keynote event where apple announces their new iPhone. Once they officially release information about their new product everyone is ready to purchase the item because the leaks and the announcement have created hype. • 12. European Union Pros And Cons Do you think it is useful for a country to join into a union, especially the European Union, to strengthen their economic position? The question could be simple to answer but an individual must look much deeper into the situation. For instance, what are the pros and cons of joining a union? The European Union has many pros but also many cons. The European Union was formed in February 1992 with the signing of the Maastricht Treaty. It consist of originally twelve members– Belgium, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, and Germany. Those twelve members originally formed the European Union until 1995 when three other countries joined the Union – Austria, Finland, and...show more content... Also, with it being a single market, there are no barriers between the other countries. With the removal of custom barriers it will enable producers to cut production costs, which will result in export increases. In addition to this the integration into the European Union will encourage foreign investment. With encouraging foreign investment it will create new jobs and will bring new technologies and experience into East–central European industry and trade. The process of adapting to a single market may be difficult, but it is necessary for economic growth in the long run. European Union regional policy seeks to reduce social and economic differences between senior and new member states. That is saying the Union is trying to allow the newer member states to compete with the older member states. This helps to solve the problems of a transition period. (Venckute) There will also be lower interest rates. Why do you think there are going to be lower interest rates? Interest rates depend on the state of an economic cycle. The interest rate has to be right for the economic area. That is the issue; not that they should be higher or lower. The interest rate is so important in all this that is said. It is only going to effect the growth and unemployment reduction, if the interest rate is at the high rate level it will produce nil growth and high unemployment. (Nieboer) The information below will discuss the cons of the European Union. Many Get more content on HelpWriting.net

There is a same situation in business world, companies are willing to share information with each other in order to get more ideas and skills, such phenomena call open innovation. Open innovation aims at connecting external and internal resources to facilitate innovation. (Lindegaard, S., 2010) It involves a two–way process, which are inbound and outbound processes. Inbound process involves using ideas, resources to develop their own company's business while outbound process involves selling the ideas, resources to others. By adapting more outside ideas, companies can have more innovative and creative ideas, which facilitate technology development. Example of open innovation: Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G), the world's largest consumer goods company, is a good example that adopted open innovation to the company. P&G used an innovation model called Connect + Develop. (Lindegaard, S., 2010) It designated for accessing externally developed intellectual property to accelerate internal innovation and sharing our internally developed assets. People are extremely reliant on the internet because most jobs and schools use it as a tool to increase efficiency and to save time. It seems that the internet is massively beneficial but it also has its cons. The internet can be beneficial because it can be a place for people so escape and help with their mental health. Another reason the internet is good is because it is an amazing tool that allows a person to access any information within minutes. Some cons that come with having access to the internet is that it can be addictive and this results in a person always spending their time on the internet rather than doing other things that can benefit their health and life. The school should only keep tabs on a student's social media if they are suspicious of bullying or if someone brings it to their attention. Bullying is not okay so if this will be an effective way to stop it then I say that it is a good idea. I also think that it is important that schools monitor what is being searched because without this, students could waste their time looking at pointless things or they could also use the internet to cheat on their assignments so having restrictions will ensure that students cannot access these sights while at Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Many of these people would like to have the time to return to school for different reasons (i.e. earning a higher degree, taking a class on something they enjoy, ect.). What comes to mind when trying to fit schooling into ones very busy schedule is online classes. Taking classes online has become very popular lately. Although popular, these classes have their advantages and disadvantages. The online environment provides this type of flexibility. People always complain about not having enough time to do things that they want. Well now there is no excuse for not having enough time to attend school because now one can attend on their own time. Another advantage to taking online classes is the very easy access and the conveniences. To access an online class all you need to have is a computer that has internet access. If an individual does not have a personal computer they can access a public computer in many different places. One can check with their nearest campus computer lab. Some will allow use of the computers for online classes (Brown). All one has to do is get on to the internet and go to the website where their online class is conducted. Online classes offer a high degree of flexibility. Although there are deadlines to be met each week, the student has a great deal of freedom as to when he/she visits the ?virtual classroom? and prepares assignments for presentation. Studies have found that online learning experiences can be equally or more effective than traditional classroom instruction. • 16. Vaccines Pros And Cons Essay It has come to my attention that many people have begun to prevent their children from being vaccinated. Many of these actions are based off of false data suggesting negative side effects to these vaccines. This is upsetting because vaccines are so incredibly important. There vaccines are so important because vaccines are humanities number one defense against illnesses which once killed millions, vaccines are almost always harmless to the user while protecting them, and vaccines help those around a child just as much as they help the child itself. In the past, illnesses such as smallpox were humanity's greatest threat. Some nations, such as the Aztecs or the Native Americans, were thriving in many ways, yet were wiped out primarily because they lacked an immunity to certain illnesses. Vaccines are our tool of transferring this immunity into a person. By having a large population with this immunity, there is little chance such a illness could have anywhere near the effects it once had. Despite the obvious benefit that vaccines give the user, some still believe that they are more harmful than helpful. This is truly ridiculous. The reports of "vaccines causing autism" are some of the best examples of fraudulent science that there are, yet people still believe them. Even if the statistics from those studies were true, you would...show more content... To truly eliminate a illness, almost all of a population must be vaccinated. Every person who is vaccinated poses a threat to those around them. In fact, the small increase in un–vaccinated people in recent years has already allowed for the return of illnesses which have been dormant for decades. If enough people become un–vaccinated the illnesses could have the opportunity to adapt and possibly become immune to the vaccine itself. • 17. Pro And Con Essay On Abortion The issue of abortion is a topic in which people have strongly contrasting views. I will examine both sides of the argument, specifically whether or not abortion should be illegal and then come to a conclusion. It is claimed that when a baby is conceived, life is started. Taking that babies life is the same as taking another person's life, which in this society, is viewed as wrong. So why is abortion different? Many women (who's pregnancy is unplanned) discover they're pregnant around 4/5 weeks into the pregnancy. At this point in your pregnancy, the foetus has developed a heart which only has one chamber rather than four, but the babies heart still beats at 100 beats per minute. Most abortions must be carried out before twenty–four weeks of pregnancy. At this stage, the babies brain has grown rapidly and their lungs are developed enough to help her survive, if she was born prematurely. This is the latest stage that a woman can have an abortion and at this point, the baby is a human being and would be able to survive if...show more content... (Statistics from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8765248) Rape is never the victims fault so why should the women carry the child that was conceived against her will. Well, hypothetically let's say that she delivers the child and a few years later she no longer wants the child because it brings back bad memories. Would she have the right to murder the child? No because he is a human and under Article 2: The Right to Life, no one can try to end your life, no matter the circumstances of your conception. This still applies to when the child is still inside their mother as they are a living being. Another argument that 'Pro–Choice' people make is that there isn't enough land and resources for the growing population so abortion is in a way, population control. However, would you kill a born child because you thought there were too many for the planet? The answer is no, because taking a life is Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Hundreds of people of all cultures, ethnicities, and genders pass by you. To you, they might seem like regular people trying to get from Point A to B. Therefore, you would not assume that they play a significant role in society. However, what if one person that passed by you today was an undocumented citizen in the United States? How would you be able to tell the difference? Everyone currently living in the Northern Hemisphere is an immigrant or a descendant of one. Far too often illegal immigration is generalized as a negative act in the world today. Despite that illegal immigration is less rationalized through the positive...show more content... Legal or illegal, we should all be granted the same opportunities in order to provide a substantial foundation for our families. Still, people are willing to risk their lives' to enter the United States. Some may succeed, while some will be unsuccessful and get deported back to their own country. They sacrifice everything in order to provide a sense of hope for their family. This is what the American Dream represents; being able to prosper, raise a family, and live the means of a good life. Illegal immigrants long for a day where their offspring will develop into a successful individual, rather than growing up in an environment of poverty and despair. Imagine your child working in the fields of Mexico only earning 50 to 60 pesos a day ($5–$6). He/she is planting crops under the blazing sun getting blisters on their feet. The heat consumes the dream and hopes they aspire. People experience many difficulties while seeing more than they desire. Although immigrants approach the U.S. longing for wealth, in reality wages are less than the average salary of Americans. Even so, immigrants gain strength to continue through the encouragement of their family. Another problem that arises often from this controversial matter is education. Parents, coaches, teachers, and counselors tell students to stay in school because it will eventually pay off in the long run. What would you do if your child was rejected from attending college and the chances of them becoming successful Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. The Pros and Cons of Technology Essay People very often debate whether technology is good or bad. Many people believe that technology can only cause harm to their lives and society, while many others strongly defend the technologies which have made their lives much more leisurely and enriching than it could have been several hundred years ago. In my opinion, both of these views are correct to an extent, but I also believe that what should be examined is not whether technology in its self is good or bad, but rather how we as humans use it.For decades now, television has been accused of contributing to the dissolution of the American family and the destruction of the minds of those who watch it. However, although the TV has been involved in this, the problem roots not with...show more content... Refrigerators, gas and electric ovens, microwaves, vacuums, dishwashers....the list goes on and on. All these things have made housework tremendously easier than it would have been about 100 years ago. This results with both positive and negative effects. It has given us easier ways to get jobs done, leaving more time for other things, but the bad part of this is what is chosen to do in this extra time. In many cases, this extra time is spent doing leisurely things, which might make us more happy, but also has an effect on our health. Lately we have become aware of the dangers of heart disease and the health benefits of exercise....the exercise we would have gotten 100 years ago just from doing our daily chores but now aren't getting enough of because we don't have to work as hard to do those same chores. This can be blamed on technology, but again, in fact it is our own fault because we chose to use the technology and spend the extra time lazing around. Now, something that really bothers me about technology is what is made out of it. I often question why people spend so much time and money trying to come up with so many useless things when we have global warming problems and starving children working in shoe factories. For example, scientists spent years to make a clone of a sheep. Now let me ask you, is their any practical use in knowing how to clone a sheep? Many people think that eventually this scientific advancement will lead into Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The First Amendment of the US Constitution states, 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. That connection, and its implications for whether prolife citizens should consider using the vaccines, raises some complicated issues. "Still other catholic groups have 'specific opposition to vaccinations manufactures using human cell lines derived from aborted fetuses.' Regardless of specific belief, it stems from religious conviction. (Tolsma 5)" Secondly, researchers have found correlations between young children who get vaccinated and young children with autism. Some believe vaccinations cause autism.
