Sapienza Summer School 2014
Sapienza Summer School consists of two independent
and parallel courses, taught in English and Italian, both
with a final assessment test, and both include guided
visits to the most important artistic and monumental sites
of the city of Rome.

Aim:
Familiarise with contemporary and ancient Italian culture
Focus on the role the city of Rome has played in the
development of contemporary European culture
Introduce participant to Rome's great cultural heritage
Educational activities:
Language labs
Lectures held by Faculty members from Sapienza
Study visits to the main artistic sites and monuments in Rome
and its surroundings
Active student participation

Duration: July 14th to 26th, 2014
Total learning activities: 100 hours, of which 40 are
lectures
Admission requirements: students of any nationality with
a secondary school diploma or enrolled in an University
course
N. of Students: 30 max per each of the two courses

A typical day (from Monday to Friday):
09.00 - 11.00: Italian Culture and Language
11.00 - 11.30: Break
11.30 - 13.30: Lectures
13.30 - 15.30: Lunch
16.00 - 18.30: Study Visit
Saturdays and Sundays are free time and there are tour
proposals for the week-ends.
Cultural events suggested for evenings.

Fees and living expenses
The tuition costs 1400 EUR.
Living costs (i.e., room and board) are not included in the tuition fees. Sapienza
Summer School has a special agreement with the "Casa dell’ Aviatore"
Residence.
