cable jointing kits are available in both heat shrinkable and cold shrinkable
types. The heat shrinkable technique is applied on the products made from
cross linking polymers with a Shape memory. In this way, they can return to
their original shape, when they are subjected to a temperature higher than
their crystalline temperature. The cold shrink technology is used where
there is no heat source available and where the working conditions are not
extremely harsh. On the other hand, heat shrinkable cable joints are used
at the places where the working conditions are extreme and you need
higher level of sealing and bonding.
