2. The Dominant
The dominant in this shot is the character Buddy the Elf.
The dominant in this shot is created by Size because he is taller than everyone else, Color because he is
wearing green when everyone else is wearing neutral and dark colors, also the lighting highlights Buddy
because he is brighter than everyone else. The shot is focused on the elf and everyone else is slightly
blurred.

3. Lighting Key
The lighting in this shot is High key lighting. It is bright all around the dominant part of the shot (Buddy the
elf), and the character appears very bright to make him stand out. One reason high key lighting might
have been used is because it's a comedy.

4. Shot and Camera Proxemics
The type of shot is a Medium Shot because the character is shown from about the
waist up

This shot is a Low Angle shot because it uses the angle to focus and the character
Buddy highlighting the fact that he is taller than everyone else, and look out of

green when everyone else is wearing darker colors. The Contrasting Foil in the scene us how everyones
else except for Buddy is wearing more low key colors but his really stands out in the crowd.

depth because it is focused on him.
The stock is a Slow Film Stock because it has a lot of illumination, and the photo looks polished not
grainy.

8. Subsidiary Contrast
After taking in the dominant in the shot (Buddy the elf) the eye goes to the yellow on his hat, and the guy
to the right of him. This is because the yellow is also a bright color so the viewers eyes are drawn to it, and
the guy next to him is more focused than the other people in the crowd so our eyes naturally look to him
next.

There are lots of people in this scene and everyone in the shot is wearing dark colors while the focus point
is on Buddy but he is wearing different colors than all of the people surrounding him. The texture of this
shot is highly detailed, the front 4 people are blurred in front of Buddy then most of the people behind
Buddy are blurred out. There are lots of information in this shot.

This shot has a circular composition in this frame because Buddy is surrounded by lots of people in this
frame that has been taken.

You can see the surroundings around Buddy. There is lots of people around Buddy wearing suits and in
the background there is buildings.

Buddy has lots of room to move around in without him moving off the frame.

There are many blurred out objects in this frame.
Almost all of the foreground is blurred out all of the way except the guy right of Buddy his coat is not
blurred out. The mid-ground is not blurred at all because the main focus point is Buddy. The background is
completely blurred.
