2. The Dominant
The dominant in this shot is the character Buddy the Elf.
The dominant in this shot is created by Size because he is taller than everyone else, Color because he is
wearing green when everyone else is wearing neutral and dark colors, also the lighting highlights Buddy
because he is brighter than everyone else. The shot is focused on the elf and everyone else is slightly
blurred.
3. Lighting Key
The lighting in this shot is High key lighting. It is bright all around the dominant part of the shot (Buddy the
elf), and the character appears very bright to make him stand out. One reason high key lighting might
have been used is because it's a comedy.

to the right of him. This is because the yellow is also a bright color so the viewers eyes are drawn to it, and
the guy next to him is more focused than the other people in the crowd so our eyes naturally look to him

shot is highly detailed, the front 4 people are blurred in front of Buddy then most of the people behind
Buddy are blurred out. There are lots of information in this shot.
