What is Youth Festival?
• A festival open to public as to build awareness on the Film, TV, Animation and
Design industry.
• A festival whereby Malaysians are exposed to the creative industry.
• A festival with many fun activities as well as valuable information about Film, TV,
Animation and Design.
• Examples of Festivals : Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA), Urbanscapes.
Objective
• To boost the profile of Point College as a major higher education creative company.
• To promote Film, TV, Animation and Design as a viewable new career options to
youths.
• To showcase our industry credentials.
• To get 4,000 enquiries of our courses from form 4 and form 5 students.
• To get potential graduated students to come and 50 to sign up by utilizing and
giving out MCMC scholarships.
• To promote and support Visit Malaysia year 2014

Dates & Venue
• Proposed Dates:-
• 2nd & 3rd May 2014 – (2 days event : Friday & Saturday)
The first day (2nd May, Friday) will be an invitation basis event whereby we will invite high school students only.
The second day (3rd May, Saturday) will be open for members of the public as well as other students.
• 24th May 2014 (Saturday)
This is for us to target and catch current form 5 students during their school holidays and at the same time target the SPM graduate students.
• Proposed Time:-
• 10am – 6pm
• 10am – 10pm (night time movie picnic as it will not be too hot)
• Proposed Venue:-
• Sports Planet, Kota Damansara
• Secondary School Hall
• Dataran Merdeka (area with grass*)

Visit Malaysia 2014
• To support and promote Visit Malaysia year 2014.
• To hold a video contest in conjunction of Visit Malaysia year 2014.
Contest Mechanism
• Participants will have to shoot and edit a video of “ANYTHING” that they deemed
relevant to promote Tourism Malaysia – Visit Malaysia year 2014!
• Examples of Videos : “Sceneries of Islands and Hidden Gems of Malaysia”,
“Malaysia’s multi-cultural race & ethnicity”, “Authentic historical monuments &
modern architectures”, “Malaysian Music & Arts Performance”, “ 1001 Must-try
Delicacies in a lifetime” etc…
• Contest is open to 2 categories:-
 Category A : Open Public
 Category B : School Students (13 – 17 Year Olds)
• Videos will then be sent to Point College for compilation and will be uploaded on
YouTube (event page) for views and voting.
Voting Mechanism
• Videos will then be sent to Point College for compilation and will be uploaded on
YouTube (event page) for views and voting.
• Winners will be judged in a few aspects:-
 Amount of likes & support from public
 Judge’s agreement based on creativity and technique
 Video content
• For each category, there will be 3 winners. With a total of 6 winners for both
categories.
• Prizes & Awards will be given during the Awards Night (ie: Kancil Award)
Promotional Awareness
• Contest will be announced to public via “Social Media”, “Print Ads”, “Radio Ads” and
at the “Youth Film, TV, Animation and Design Festival”.
• Contest will be promoted in schools through roadshows, education fairs, school
fairs and school visits.
