The Dermis, is the second layer of skin, which lies beneath the epidermis, and is
responsible for the strength and suppleness of the skin.
As the skin's texture changes wrinkles appear, it also starts to lose its tone, and
Hyaluronic acid, an important molecule responsible for moisturising and plumping
the skin, decreases. The fatty tissue reduces and no longer plays its supporting role.
Volume and general appearance of the face is then modified.
Our R&D team have worked with an international specialist in ageing, Prof. Lemaitre,
to learn more about how certain anti-ageing ingredients might be used to target
senescence and its spread throughout the skin.
