the UXPA's 2016 World Usability Day affords UX professionals an opportunity to help “end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all”—while honing our craft and expanding our networks. How can we use the lens of User Experience Design to

In 1990 36% of people lived in poverty. MDG goal #1 was set to reduce to the percentage to 18% by 2015.
In fact, the poverty rate fell to under 12% by 2015, EXCEEDING the goal.

By focusing on Sustainability UX and on the UN SDGs, the UXPA

We also have the chance to hone our craft, and the potential to
expand our newtworks.
There is a lot to do between now and 2030: tonight, we can start a
dialogue in San Francisco to get ready for many projects to come.
