This project encompasses five and a half miles of the Detroit riverfront, creating
connections between the waterfront to downtown and neighborhoods becoming a
positive icon for public perception and economic investment in a distressed community.
The improvements and programs of the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, a public-private
partnership, now draw three million visitors to the well-designed, well-maintained,
beautiful and accessible open space in an international setting.
