8. Last Research Topic..
• Senior Year of my BS Athletic Training (2014) a classmate and
I conducted a data collection of AROM, PROM, & flexibility of
Collegiate Male Varsity Hockey Players to discover areas of
tightness
• After gathering literature discussing current information
regarding sports tightness and areas of weakness, we
discovered there was minimal research that actually covered
this topic
9. Continuing Research
• I would like to conduct a research study or
literature review regarding injury prevention
exercise protocols for female sports
– What are most common injuries to females?
– Do specific sports have common injuries for
females?
– What exercises will help decrease these injuries?
• General vs. Sport Specific
10. Expectations
• I’m hoping to gather more reliable data using
different methods
• Understand expectations of Ethical Review
Board to continue
• Learn how the statistical analysis software
works to understand what data is significant
vs. non-significant findings
