2. Real-time data, enhanced decision making
Weatherford advanced logging-while-drilling (LWD) tools and
interpretation techniques provide near real-time reservoir characterization
and time-critical geosteering information. The CrossWave®
azimuthal
sonic tool provides both total sonic measurements and 360° azimuthal
sonic borehole images using 16 fixed-orientation azimuthal bins. Its
dynamic telemetry options provide accurate borehole and reservoir
measurements, reports, and evaluations that facilitate near real-time
drilling decisions anywhere in the world. Take advantage of far-reaching
perspectives that allow for faster decision making by geosteering
specialists in your office and at our real-time data centers. It’s advanced
technology for increasing your percent of in-zone wellbore placements
and reducing nonproductive time.
Advanced tools, better well design
Weatherford wireline tools and services seamlessly complement
our drilling and evaluation expertise in even the most extreme
environments. The Compact microimager (CMI) delivers an
exceptional level of detail and precision in well logs, while its 10
deployment options provide unrivaled versatility. Maximize your
well potential with Weatherford drilling services that offer the
innovations and expertise to help you collect and analyze vital data
for improving production and capital efficiency.
Get custom-fit completion
designs for complex
subsurface reservoirs
Using our highly collaborative approach with clients, FracAdvisor
service helps identify optimal completion solutions that
complement the unique formation characteristics of a well. With
improved understanding of the formation characteristics, each
stage and each fracture cluster of a completion can be fine-tuned
for greater productivity.
An operator seeking to increase its fracturing efficiency in
South Texas asked Weatherford Petroleum Consulting to create
a custom completion solution using FracAdvisor service.
By integrating reservoir and geomechanical data, including 11 unique
reservoir and rock qualities such as brittleness and porosity specific
to the formation, Weatherford attained a higher understanding of the
rock and reservoir qualities. Analyzing these individual attributes and
honing the completion design achieved optimal hydraulic-fracturing
efficiency and greatly reduced the number of completions stages
needed for the job.
Following the Weatherford recommendations, the operator saved
$500,000 through stage optimization on the well. Pleased with
the results on this first well, the client engaged Weatherford to
use FracAdvisor and other formation-evaluation technologies and
services in additional wells.
