I am a highly skilled Electrical Commissioning Specialist with forty plus years of experience including
thirty years in Mining. I have vast experience in working in challenging remote locations, as most of
my work experience has been spent in isolated camps and overseas. I keep an updated passport, with
immunization book, and am in excellent health with a high energy level.
I have strong leadership skills and I have extensive experience in the management of and overall
responsibility of teams. I have a proven ability to meet deadlines and I place a strong emphasis on

Work Experience
March 2014 to Present:
Ausenco Peru – based at HudBay Constantia Project – Peru
The 1.4 billion dollar Constancia copper-molybdenum project is located in the Andes in south-eastern
Peru and is positioned 4,200 m above sea level. Ausenco is providing Engineering,
Procurement and Construction Management services to design, construct, and commission a 25
Mt/y concentrator and associated infrastructure for this high-altitude project. The project will
incorporate primary crushing, twin SAG/Ball mill grinding circuit, regrind, flotation, concentrate
filtration and tailings pumping capacity, as well as stand-alone molybdenum separation plant and
various ancillary systems.
Lead Electrical Commissioning Specialist
As the Lead Electrical Commissioning Specialist, reporting directly to the Commissioning Manager,
I share this position with a cross shift. We´re responsible for all electrical commissioning activities
for site. Prior to starting the on-site work, two months were spent assisting the design
engineering group to review drawings and documentation.
Some of the duties include:
 Supervise crews of personnel consisting of a mix of trades from Ausenco, contractors and
the client.
 Set up and monitor equipment vendor representatives.
 Review documentation for acceptance and turnover.
 Hands on commissioning and initial operation of electrical, instrumentation and
production equipment.
 Troubleshooting and dealing with design issues.
 Assistance with training of Client operations and maintenance personnel.

January 2012 to January 2014:
Rio Tinto USA – based at Oyu Tolgoi Mine – Mongolia
This mine represented the largest and perhaps most challenging engineering-construction project
in Mongolia, and became one of the world’s largest copper mines when it commenced operations
in 2013. Ivanhoe Mines and Rio Tinto, two of the world's leading mining companies, and the
Mongolian Government formed a strategic partnership for construction and operation of the Oyu
Tolgoi project. The $6 billion project consisted of open-pit and underground mines, a copper
concentrator, and supporting infrastructure to produce high-quality copper-gold concentrate.
Electrical Commissioning Specialist
Reporting directly to the Rio Tinto Commissioning Manager and to the EPCM Company, Fluor,
Commissioning Manager, at the Oyu Tolgoi Copper Mine, in Mongolia, my position was Electrical
Commissioning Specialist. As one of a small group, occasionally acting Lead, we were responsible
for commissioning and start-up of the 220 kV transmission and distribution, as well as the
Concentrator. Following a successful start-up I assisted the operations and maintenance crews
for three months.
January 2004 to November 2010:
Rosebel Gold Mines NV - Iamgold (Formerly Cambior) - Suriname, S.A.
The Rosebel Gold Mine is jointly owned by IAMGOLD (70%) and the Government of Suriname
(30%). The mine is located in the mineral rich Brokopondo District in north eastern Suriname,
South America. The Rosebel mine began production in 2004. Cambior has invested $176 million in
the project, including $143 million for construction and production start-up. A significant portion
of the processing facilities and mobile equipment from Omai were transferred to Rosebel in 2003.
Electrical & Instrumentation General Foreman
As Electrical General Foreman, reporting to the Mill Manager, I was responsible for all site Mine,
Mill and infrastructure electrical, instrumentation and process control activities.
Some of the duties included:
 Supervision of expat and national staff and crews of multiple disciplines, company and
contractor personnel.
 Cross shift to the Senior Maintenance Planner, handling both duties on a rotational
schedule.
 Assist in planning and implementing expansions, major shutdowns and all maintenance
work.
 Inspection and maintenance of all high and medium voltage transmission and distribution
lines.
 Preparing annual Joint Mill budgets, monthly monitoring as well as planning and
executing capital expenditures.
 Troubleshooting E&I problems, hands-on, as required.
 Train and mentor national staff and crews for eventual takeover of expat positions.

October 2002 to December 2003:
Cambior Projects & Construction - Rosebel Gold Mines NV - Suriname, S.A
Cambior Inc. was a Canadian based international gold producer with operations, development
projects and exploration activities in the Americas. In November 2006, IAMGOLD acquired 100%
of Cambior shares.
Construction, Commissioning & Start-up Supervision
During my two years with Cambior Construction my role changed as the project progressed. Prior
to transferring from Cambior's Omai Gold Mines, I was involved in design of the Rosebel Gold
Mine Project.
Some of the duties included:
 Responsible for disconnecting a grinding circuit in Guyana, in preparation for relocation to
Suriname.
 Installed initial power line to site, as well as temporary camp for construction.
 Handled many emergency procurement issues for power system and mill components.
 Key player in the commissioning and start-up, considered one of the best Mill start-ups on
record.
 Troubleshooting power and control issues, in design and start-up.
 Continued through ramp-up to full production, then transferred to operations.
