2014-2015: Research & Innovation, Petrolink Services Inc, Houston, USA.
Link Engineer. Used my experience with global operations and my ability
to communicate in English and Spanish to Link knowledge and
development activities specific to one region, with all the other regions.
The objective;

successfully applied elsewhere,
Prevent duplicate development efforts between offices,
Improve communications between offices.
2013-2014: Petrolink International Int, Saudi Arabia.
LWD Operations Manager. Leading the startup of real-time data services
for Saudi Aramco’s Geosteering Operations Center (GOC). GOC depends
fully on real-time LWD/MWD data to land the well and to geosteer the
well into and through the reservoir.
Startup of real-time data services for unconventional wells (Fracking).
2011-2013: Petrolink Services Inc, Houston, USA.
Operations Manager. Managed operations for both real-time and static
data in the US, Europe, Africa, Asia and South America.
Operations included;
Leading local staff and field engineers,
handling logistics for global rig equipment,
Overseeing the installation of equipment on the rig site,
The administration and monitoring of the availability and integrity
of the data.
2010-2011: Petrolink International Int, Villahermosa, México.
Technical Manager. Leading the startup of real-time data services and a
real-time Operation center (CCPTR) for PEMEX in Mexico.
Training local and international staff in how to run the operation center.
2008-2010: Petrolink International Int, Saudi Arabia.
Country Manager. Played a major role in Petrolink starting up and
expanding operations in Saudi Arabia. Maintained the contacts with Saudi
Aramco and service companies like Schlumberger, Halliburton and
Weatherford.
After the implementation of the ORACLE based WITSML database
solution for Saudi Aramco, the second step was to have all service
companies commit to this WITSML standard.

We managed to secure the contract to collect, transmit, store and
visualize all real-time data from all rigs in Saudi Aramco, meeting stated

2005-2008: Petrolink International Int, Caracas, Venezuela
Technical director. In charge of Petrolink’s hardware / software setup and
administration in the Latin American area. Maintaining contact with local
clients in PlusPetrol and PDVSA.
Involved with operations in the USA, Bolivia, Equatorial Guinea and
Trinidad & Tobago.
2004-2005: Lubo Sistemas, Caracas, Venezuela.
Consultant. Involved with several projects in the Caribbean. Advised and assisted in selling sales
automation software in Venezuela and the English speaking islands in the Caribbean.
Maintained communication with their sales contacts and technical support abroad.
1996-2004: ITS Servicios Técnicos S.A. (ITS), Caracas and Guarenas, Venezuela.
ITS managed the majority of the seismic data tapes of Venezuelan national oil company PDVSA.
They provided a comprehensive series of data services: data management, data storage, tape
storage, document storage and management, document imaging, map scanning, well log
digitizing, seismic digitizing, tape copying, tape formatting and media conversion.
2002-2004: ITS Servicios Técnicos S.A., Guarenas, Venezuela.
Director. Directing the seismic data copying center, in charge of the
automation and control of the formatting and copying of 2D and 3D
seismic data.
Reorganization of the tape storage facility, this included the addition of
new storage capacity.
1996-2002: ITS Servicios Técnicos S.A., Caracas, Venezuela.
Project leader. In charge of setting up and managing the new well log
digitizing department in Caracas, Puerto la Cruz and Maracaibo.
Developed a SQL Database to administrate the project of scanning and
indexing of "Observer reports" for all oil-wells in Venezuela.
Started up a new project that involved indexing and scanning of 50.000
electrical maps for the company "Electricidad de Caracas" (EDC), and the
development of a SQL Database for the indexed data.
1993-1996: Delft University of Technology (TUD), Delft, The Netherlands.
Delft University of Technology is one of the 3 technical universities in the Netherlands. Between
my masters and bachelors I worked assisting students with their second and third year practical
tasks / exams. After my masters I worked 3 years at the TUD on a research project with Philips
Lighting in Eindhoven.
