To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to introduce Charles Palmer Hagenfeldt who is currently attending Santa Barbara City
College. My name is Mark Capritto and I have known Charles for one year through his dedicated service
to the Ambassador Program at Campus 880 in Isla Vista. I am certain the following information will help
you more fully understand him as a positive, energetic, and responsible individual.
Charles is cordial and a very good friend to many. He is characterized by his sense of humor blended with
his wit and conventional wisdom he brings to any conversation. Charles is perceptual by nature and
understands his immediate surroundings. He is intellectual, articulate, and willing to share his opinion
when asked. With Campus 880, Charles is involved in community service, developing and implementing
sports and educational programs for the youth in Isla Vista.
I consider Charles a self-starter who shows initiative and a willingness to diagnose a problem and not just
walk away when the going gets tough. He is persistent in his readiness to figure things out, how things
work, then create a plan to repair the problem. He is a creative thinker and problem solver with skills that
continue to blossom with each experience, evidenced by his ability to walk through a situation before
becoming self indulged and personalizing the issue. Charles has a willingness to help others and is often
seen working on projects, particularly with those who struggle.
As a leader, Charles is an active listener, in as much is he is an active speaker. He is a compassionate
individual who works to assist those less fortunate than himself. In the work environment, Charles has a
comprehensive understanding of organization and structure, communication, and cultural and structural
elements. He is a true professional and demonstrates his interest in his projected field through his positive
effort and responsibility. His management skills and commitment to the job from start to finish are an asset
for our organization and will surely influence his work in the future. At school, Charles is intent on
completing an undergraduate degree in the area of Business/Management with an emphasis of
sport/management.
Charles is a motivated, committed, team player who will be a strong addition to any work setting and I
believe he will raise the level of professionalism at any site. His integrity, high degree of competency and
willingness to think outside the box bring a common sense demeanor that is presence in his daily life
experiences. Charles has bright future, and those with whom he associates will have a wonderful
employee.
