Karen and I first met in 2014 when I became involved with Patient Experience and Patient
Satisfaction at Laser Spine Institute. In a very short amount of time, Karen has proven to me to be
a tremendous asset to the organization. Over the last year or so, Karen has done some amazing
things which had led to the development of a patient-feedback steering committee, as well as a
coaching platform for new managers and executives. Additionally, she has demonstrated a strong
ability to interpret patient satisfaction data, navigate through reporting tools,and use the data at
hand to drive change in various parts of the organization. She has tremendous passion for LSI, and
in my opinion, not many employees have shown more potential for independence and leadership
and been more delightful to work with than Karen.
Karen is always the first person to lend a helping hand and dive right into projects. One of the best
words I can think of to describe Karen is fearless. She will offer her services to leadership
members and other departments even when she lacks familiarity or prior experience with the topic
or project at hand. Learning new skills and acquiring novel information is something that drives
Karen to be successfulday in and day out.
I interact frequently with and depend on Karen. She is enthusiastic,energetic, exceptionally well
organized, compassionate, demonstrates excellent communicative skills, and has real leadership
potential. I have enjoyed getting to know Karen as a person and find her quite capable of working
on her own in a self-directed manner. She is keenly devoted to her work, but being a real people
person,she is also enjoyable to be around. I am pleased that Karen is planning to grow and take on
new opportunities and have no doubt that she has the skills, focus,and determination to succeed
wherever she ends up. I look forward to watching her career develop with great interest and high
