It is my pleasure to recommend Sharon O'Brien. I came to know Sharon when I was Vice
President of Sales & Partnerships at Kaplan K12 Learning Services. As executive assistant,
Sharon distinguished herself in the following manner:
1. Managing our Internal Sales Team.
2. Setting appointments for 8 Regional Managers and VP of Sales & Partnerships on
national level.
3. Lead trainer of SalesForce for national sales team and Internal Sales Team.
4. Directed efforts on special events at conferences and trade shows.
5. Assisting the sales force to reach $13.7 million in sales on a national level.
6. Generated lead that led to strategic partnership with HACU (Hispanic Association of
Colleges & Universities).
7. Collaborated with Vice President of Sales & Partnerships to develop mailings,
promotions, surveys, ads and flyers.
Sharon is intelligent and has good analytical skills. Her work in managing three vice presidents
demonstrated her ability to work with different personalities and skill sets.
Sharon has good communication skills. Her written work is both clear and concise. Sharon is
proficient in applying researched material in making calls to key prospects or clients. In meetings,
she explained her views concisely and gave supporting arguments that were both clear and
persuasive. Sharon also demonstrated good team work in group assignments.
At a personal level, Sharon is disciplined, industrious with a pleasant personality. She went well
beyond the job assignment in the quantity and quality of her work, putting in extra research and
working extra hours every week. Throughout her tenure at Kaplan K12 Learning Services, Sharon
demonstrated perseverance and initiative.
