DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Assist the Head Accountant in preparing periodical forecasts/budgets and scrutinize variances.
 Design and maintain the non current asset register and make sure it is updated as the assets are scrapped
and acquired.
 Handled all statutory returns and correspondences ie PAYE/NAPSA/VAT Returns/Motor Vehicle taxes
and insurances/Leases and other trading licenses.
 Maintain the dollar, sterling and kwacha petty cash books.
 Assist the accountant in producing weekly and monthly reports as well as checking the validity of
accounting data entered into PASTEL v11 and ResRequest CRM.
 Ensure that receipts are updated in Resrequest CRM and posted in PASTEL v11.
 Processing wages in Palmsoft Payroll ie income and deductions.
 Able to run all Palmsoft Payroll reports(NAPSA, PAYE, PAYSLIPS, LOAN SCHEDULES etc).
 Able to install and map PASTEL users.
 Posting sales and receipts in PASTEL v11.
 Posting and reconciling bank accounts in PASTEL v11.
 Chasing Local and international trade receivables.
 Ensuring that receivables control account is properly maintained and reconciled with PASTEL v11,
ResRequest and cash books.

review by the Chief Financial Officer.
 Maintaining and update the Non Current Asset Register as assets are acquired and disposed off.
 Producing financial reports in Business Objects and Flex Cube.
 Ensure that all Mortgage rates/bookings and calculations are accurately posted in Flex Cube.
 Ensure that all journal vouchers and payment vouchers are properly signed and authorised.
 Handled all Value Added Tax, NAPSA, Medical&Personal Levy, With Holding Tax Returns Preparation
and payments.
 Performing monthly Bank reconciliations.
 Assist the Chief Financial Officer in preparation of annual financial reports for audit and final accounts.
 Help in preparation of Monthly prudential’s to Bank of Zambia.
 Prepare payroll monthly incomes and deductions before submitting to BDO for processing.
 Make Quick Pay payroll monthly back ups and close the months.
 Add and delete employees from Quick Pay payroll and up-date employee’s details.
 Run all Quick Pay payroll reports(NAPSA, PAYE, PAYSLIPS, LOAN SCHEDULES etc)
