SUMMARY OF TEACHING AND RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
I have worked as a full time lecturer of Finance and Accounting at St Paul’s University,
Kenya, teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate levels since January 2010.I have
extensively taught Microfinance, Corporate Finance, Financial Institutions & Markets,
Public finance, as well as Auditing & investigations at the University. I am involved in
the development of distance and online learning materials for the subjects at the
University. I served as the Co-ordinator of professional accounting courses examined by
KASNEB but offered at St. Paul’s University.

CORPORATE WORK EXPERIENCE
I have worked as an accountant with British American Insurance (Britam) in charge of
Mombasa branch between the years 2001 and 2004 at management level. During this
period, I gained significant experience in branch management, record keeping, customer
service, and financial management in Multinational Organizations, maintenance of
Strong Internal control systems over the assets and liabilities of organizations as well as
computerized accounting. In addition, I have worked as a Unit Manager with Britam,
Embu branch in charge of recruitment, training, mentorship and managing financial
advisors between 2008 and 2009. This management experience has enabled me to be a
team player with networking abilities.
