Product variants are used to manage products having different variations, like size, color, etc. It allows managing the product at the template level (for all variations) and at the variant level (specific attributes). Odoo draws 15 much attention to handling product variants. So the platform gives a separate space for managing the product variants.

2. INTRODUCTION
❖ A particular product which is packed with so many coupled variants are together called
Product Variants.
❖ These product variants are applied to furnish a specific product and it is used to present
variations of the same product to your clients to offer them more varieties.
❖ Odoo draws much attention to handling product variants. So the platform gives a separate
space for managing the product variants.
❖ It allows managing the product at the template level (for all variations) and at the variant
level (specific attributes).

3. ❖ Goto Sales module > Configuration > Settings

4. ❖ Enable the option Variants > Save your changes

5. ❖ After that Go to product form by Products > Products from sales module.

6. ❖ Now create a new product by CREATE button

7. ❖ Create a product and fill up the basic details for product under General information tab

8. ❖ Under Attributes & Variants tab we can add the attributes and its values

9. ❖ For creating new attributes Goto Configuration > Attributes

10. ❖ Here we will get already existing attributes,for creating new one click on CREATE button

11. ❖ Provide the values and save the values by SAVE button.

12. ❖ Comeback to the product page under Attributes & Variants tab now we can add
our newly created attributes and it’s value.

13. ❖ Click on Configure button to make customisation.

14. ❖ We will get tree view like this, click on any of the record.

15. ❖ We can add extra price based on attribute value and exclude fr attribute value.After
defining the customisations > SAVE
❖ And also exclude option for White, in below example for size S the White value will not be
available

16. ❖ After that Goto settings and enable Variant Grid Entry & Product Configurator then >
SAVE
○ Variant Grid Entry - Add several variants to an order from a grid
○ Product Configurator - Select product attributes and optional products from the sales
order

17. ❖ Save settings changes then goto product page, under Attributes & variants tab choose
sales variant selection as Product Configurator

18. ❖ After that goto Orders > Orders. Create a sale order.

19. ❖ After adding product we will get the configurator for the product,here we can see the extra
price for while shirt.After selecting CONFIRM

20. ❖ In orderline we will get the description of product and subtotal etc.

21. ❖ Now set Sales variant selection as Order grid entry for the product.

22. ❖ Now from the Grid entry we will get the variant details and we can add our quantity after
that CONFIRM

23. ❖ We can see that after confirming the sale order line is updated with the selected product
variants.

24. ❖ From Products > Product Variants we will get the all product variant details.

25. ❖ Here you can manage all the available product variants.
