❖ Debit notes are essential documents issued when the goods are returned due to many
factors, including Damage to the goods or issues in services and many more.
❖ Or If a revision is needed in the created bill due to goods/services not being up to the
mark ie.bad quality of goods are delivered or when the value of invoice increases due
to extra goods being delivered.
❖ You can manage these inconveniences in business with Odoo. It provides details of
the amount of money debited from the seller's account and states the reason.
❖ Managing debit notes is essential to keep an excellent customer-to-business
relationship.

3. ❖ From Apps make sure that the Debit Notes app is installed .This module is manages the
debit notes.

4. ❖ Go to Purchase module > Orders > Purchase Orders.

5. ❖ CREATE purchase order by CREATE button

6. ❖ Provide the details of customer and product confirm your order by clicking CONFIRM ORDER

7. ❖ Receive the products by RECEIVE PRODUCTS button click.

8. ❖ VALIDATE your picking.

9. ❖ Create bill for the orders created.Click on CREATE BILL.And CONFIRM the bill.

10. ❖ After create your bill we will be able to see a button to create a Debit note > Click
ADD DEBIT NOTE

11. ❖ Here you can type in the reason for the debit note in the Reason section. You can use a
specific Journal for the Debit note from the Use Specific Journal section. Click on the fields
next to it to view the Journals defined and choose from them.
❖ If you want to create a new journal just type in the name of the new Journal, and a Create
and Edit button will appear

12. ❖ By enabling copy lines, the lines here will be automatically updated.That’s how we create
