2. Our Idea
• We wanted to create a video in a genre that
suited both our tastes, and so we decided to
set our video to Avenged Sevenfold’s song
‘Welcome to The Family’.
• While we took some of the band’s other songs
into consideration, we preferred this one as it
would be easier to match a narrative to the
lyrics.

3. Our Idea
• We had the idea to base our video around a children’s
play park, and work around the theme of welcoming
people into a new group or family.
• From this, we decided to have the children in the video
start out innocent, and then change at the arrival of the
band, and become complete tearaways who attempt to
rebel against their parents
• This is a good representation of what the alternative
and punk genres have aimed to do in the past, to
inspire rebellion in the youth, and we wanted to take
this to another level
