Peace Day Philly is planning a community art project on Global Peace Day, September 23rd at Reading Terminal Market. Carolyn Dawn Good, an alumni from University of Art is the facilitator in this innovative way to weave fibers of the world together in a harmonious outcome.

Fabrics from all over the world
woven through wire mesh and
non-toxic resin binding it all
together.
4. A bronze wire
mesh frame
Will create a
mosaic pattern
from the
fabrics that are
contributed
5. The fabrics will be
collected and torn
into strips. A story
of the fabric and
the country of
origin will be
documented.
6. Metal Letters
will be cut and
secured.

7. Carolyn Dawn Good B.F.A. is a University of the Arts Alumini and
from a Mennonite Family from Lancaster County. She has sons
who are Metis and is very interested in creating restorative patterns
for their future. She a cross-disciplinary artist in Kitchener-
Waterloo, Ontario working with other emergent artists.

8. This is a very rough sketch. The design will include
a market scene with people, food, and positive
messages. The outlines will be drawn and worked
out over the weeks ahead. Interns from the
University of Arts/Temple will be invited to assist
on the days of production ( pre and post)
