2. Plot
During high school, Henry was a smart student and he always got high grades in every examination.
However, the only bad thing of him was his attitude, Henry was a hot-tempered and racism person. He always
got angry easily when he felt unhappy and he only joined the Chinese group.
Until one day, Henry was puzzled and confused because he didn’t know why his friends dumped him.
He even thought that his friends left him were their own lost.
After graduated from high school, Henry was going to further studies in Taylor’s University. During
orientation day, Henry met some new friends, but only Chinese people. At the end of semester one, Henry had
scored CGPA 3.8 which was a very high grade.
Suddenly, his best friend Bryan, called out his name and told his true feelings about Henry. At
first, Bryan thought Henry was a friendly and kind person. However, after a few months being friends with
Henry, he felt Henry was not really like what he thought, he said that Henry always got angry easily whenever he
wanted to.
When the semester two started, Henry’s result was getting worse and worse. His lecturer realized and
ask for the reason. Henry refused to answer, so his lecturer suggested him to go to seek for the counselor’s help.
The counsellor comforted Henry and gave him some suggestions to control his bad attitude. After the
counseling, Henry realized that he needed to change his attitude and he started to control his temper. After a few
months, Henry learned how to control his anger and treated people nicely. In the end his friends went back to
him.

4. Concept 1 : Attitude
Definition : Attitude refers to a tendency to evaluate a person, object, or idea
with some degree of approval or disapproval

Henry has some bad attitude which is hot tempered and racism. He always get
angry easily and only like to stick with the Chinese group.

Definition : The initial impression we have of another person when we meet
them for the first time. It contains positive and negative impressions and a
sense of physical and psychological features.

In university, his course mates told Henry that their first impression on him is
that he is a very nice and friendly. But they were wrong because Henry is an
angry boy. He loses his temper in check.

Definition : Discrimination directed at a specific racial group

During the orientation day in Taylor’s University, Henry will look for
friends that are only Chinese as he dislike other races. He finds no
pleasure in talking or joining the other races because of the different
language and skin colour. Therefore, Henry is a racist boy.

Definition : The way people to communicate in order to influence others’ attitudes
or behaviors

Lecturer noticed that Henry is having some problem and tried to help him but
Henry did not want to tell lecturer what is going on. So, lecturer suggest Henry
have a talk with counsellor. Henry told the counsellor about his problem and the
counsellor told Henry that he have try to change his attitude first.

Definition : Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to
be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort
to attain a goal.

Henry was motivated by the counsellor, he began trying to control his
attitude by using the suggestion that given by the counsellor. Finally, he was
successful changed his attitude and his friends were went to him.
