LEARNING GOAL: Express conditions and possible situations
ZERO CONDITIONAL
El condicional cero se utiliza para hablar de hechos generales, como sucesos científicos, cuando la
condición y el resultado siempre se cumplen. Se emplea cuando el tiempo al que nos referimos es ahora y la
situación es real y posible.
La estructura del condicional cero comienza con la palabra "If" (si) seguido de una oración en presente
simple que establece la condición seguida de otra oración en presente simple también que es
la consecuencia.
Examples: If you freeze water, it turns into ice – (Si congelas agua, se convierte en hielo.)
Your parents get worried if you don’t call them (tus padres se preocupan si tu no los llamas)

*Las oraciones condicionales de primer tipo se utilizan para expresar una situación que puede ser posible o que
puede suceder en el presente o en el futuro. Este tipo de frases condicionales se construyen generalmente
utilizando la partícula if (si), una frase en presente simple seguida de una frase en futuro simple.
If I get a high paying job, I will buy a new car. (Si consigo un trabajo bien pagado, compraré un nuevo carro)
If she doesn’t study, she won’t pass the exam. (Si ella no estudia, ella no pasará el examen.)
*Podemos escribir la cláusula o frase principal al comienzo, seguida de una coma o al final sin la coma.
If you eat well, you will be healthier. / You’ll be healthier if you eat well. (Usted será saludable, si come bien)
