PROFILE
I am a Master Mariner looking for opportunity to utilize/impart my knowledge gained during extensive
and multifaceted shore based experience of 27 years in Marine Industry.
My experience includes :
Consultancy / Superintendency & Surveying for damages / condition of cargo and/or ship including
evaluation of losses incurred and determination of salvage value on behalf of the ship owners /
Underwriters.
Superintendency on behalf of the Owners and/or Charterers for planning and stowage of
commodities, supervision of loading/discharge operations, monitoring quality and quantity and
expediting turn around time of the vessels.
Consulting in all aspects of Ship Operations such as administrative, technical and commercial
management including on-board management of multi-national crew and officers
Conducting condition survey of various types of vessels and crafts on behalf of Owners / Banks and
/ or financial institutions for valuation and hypothecation. Ship Safety Inspections as required under
I.S.M. Code, statutory (flag) and vessel’s Class requirements.
Supervising Drydocking and Major repairs on behalf of Shipowners at various drydock facilities
worldwide. Preparing defect list for the yard, negotiating cost and work schedule, monitoring quality
and progress, facilitating settlement of final invoice.
Providing consultancy to shipowners in procuring new tonnage or disposing owned tonnage.
Inspecting vessels on their behalf and assisting in sale/purchase formalities. Arranging charters and
freight.
Sailing experience of 16 years including Master.

Iran to Umm al Quwain, UAE, including hydrographic survey of port; facilitated the sale of the scrap.
Supervised the re floating of a 3800 DWT general cargo vessel aground at the entrance to Port Blair,
Andaman Islands, India. including discharge of cargo and preparation of vessel for tow to Singapore for
repairs. Supervised conversion of several flat top pipe barges to side wall equipped dry cargo barges for
transporting containers and palletized cargoes. Organized and supervised Charters for Clients’ vessels.
Conducted ON/OFF Hire, bunker, and quantity surveys for chartered vessels and barges including stowage
planning and loading. Supervised dry docking and repairs for Clients’ vessels during their stay in port / dry
docks.

DWT Bulk-Carrier at Hyundai Shipyard, Ulsan, South Korea. In a bankruptcy case oversaw the taking over
of a group of six SANTA FE 77 type vessels on behalf of Creditors.
