SUMMARY: As a Marine Security Guard I protect people, information and facilities. I monitored internal security of the
United States embassy and control access into the facility to protect sensitive information of the United States government
and the people that work there. As part of the embassy security team I received training in crowd control, responding to
terrorist attacks,fires, demonstrations and riots. I’m trained in combat first aid and the deployment of lethal and less than
lethal force. I am familiar with law enforcement techniques such as handcuffing, prisoner control, the use of force
continuum, small weapons tactics and techniques, and hold a valid CPR certification.

With a team of two other previous Marine Security Guard watch standers that were specifically chosen by executive staff
members, we recruited, screened,and interviewed the most exceptional and highly qualified Marines to leave their regular
military occupational specialties to serve on the Marine Corps Embassy Security Program.
Traveled to all the Marine Corps bases and held presentations to inform up to 1000 Marines at a time about the
Marine Security Guard program.
After initial screening, interviews were held in person or over the phone to determine if a candidate was suitable
to serve on the special duty assignment.
Advertised and maintained a strong social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, And Instagram with a combine
24,000 followers.
Coordinated with the Marine Security Guard school to fill every seat and assign class dates to new students.
Liaised student paperwork packages between students, medical staff, the Marine Security Guard school,
Headquarters Marine Corps, and Department of State officials.
