2. WHAT ARE STORYBOOKS?
The storybook or “auca” is an artistic
document typical in catalan.
It is always about an especific topic and it
explains like a little history traditionally
pigeonholed in cartoons.
Each cartoon goes accompained with two
verses under it. The verses have rhyme.
3. CHARACTERISTICS
1. Always written in verse, so it has rhyme.
2. All the verses of a storybook go with an ilustration that represents them.
3. It can have drawings or photografies.
4. It must have a multiple number of verses.
5. It is normally about history.
6. It had a big diffusion in XIX century.
7. It comes from the Game of the Goose.
