3. As I gave the questionnaire
to mostly people within 6th
form apart from one, my
results were fairly normal.
From my results I found that
people were either in the
category 15-17 or the 18-
20 bench mark. The other
age was 40-49. This means
that the documentary
audience must be people
aged 15-20 which is a
niche audience of which it
appeals to.

4. In my questionnaire I
asked whether they
were interested in
cars on not. This is a
vital question as my
documentary topic is
on cars and so if
nobody is interested
in cars…then there
would be no point in
making it as no one
would watch it. This
was the response.

5. My questionnaire results
show that cars and
documentaries appeal to
full time students. This
could mean they have a
lot of spare time. This
means that when I make
my documentary it must
be able to capture the
target audience (full-time
students) and so any other
work I produce I will have
to ensure it is suitable for
them. 0

9. From the results we can
see that people would
like various shots of the

not believe just one shot

would mostly like to see footage
that captures real-life – as this is
a supported opinion I am going
to try my best to fit in as much
real-life footage that isn’t in a

they also enjoy interviews and
cinematic footage which I will
most definitely try to include in
my video. However, they have
also said that they like re-

12. CONCLUSION
From the questionnaire totals I have been able to find various things that may
aid me in the process of making my documentary. I found that the majority of
people that I had asked are interested in cars or either somewhat interested –
this shows that people may be willing to watch the documentary I produce. The
participants have said that in their free time they mostly like to watch TV, surf
the internet (including watching YouTube videos) and the like to shop –
possibly showing where I could preview my video. They have said that they
enjoy cinematic footage, footage that captures real life and interviews. They
have said that they like re-enactments but there is nothing that I can re-enact
so I will not be able to include that in my TV documentary. People have said
that enjoy fly on the wall documentaries so I will try inputting this concept into
my video. The have said that they’d prefer to see neutral colours and vibrant
colours and have said that they’d expect a car garage to be in the
documentary. The audience have said they’d prefer a variety of shots in the
documentary including close ups, mid shots, long shots, wide shot, aerial shot,
POV and many more.
