7. C-SAP OER project Evaluating the Practice of Opening up Resources for Learning and Teaching in the Social Sciences What is happening at the moment? Project partners are in the process of repurposing the modules into Open Educational Resources, with the project team providing guidance on issues of copyright, IPR, accessibility, pedagogic frameworks and any other relevant issues. In addition, each of the partners has chosen one of the modules to become part of a case study which documents the process of “opening up” educational resources in a reflexive way. These case studies, focusing on pedagogic practice, will be published as part of the project toolkit offering guidance on overcoming obstacles related to releasing and sharing OERs. When will the toolkit be released? The toolkit as well as a website accompanying the project is due to be released by the end of April. In the meantime, you can have a look at the screenshots of early versions of the toolkit: Project website and toolkit Mapping tool Where can I find more information about the project? http://www.c-sap.bham.ac.uk/subject_areas/elearning/oer/. http://www.slideshare.net/CSAPOER http://twubs.com/csapoer Project core team: Darren Marsh (Project Manager) Anna Gruszczynska (Research Assistant) Richard Pountney (Project Consultant) Contact: Darren Marsh d.l.marsh@bham.ac.uk C-SAP (Subject Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics) Nuffield Learning Centre, Edgbaston University of Birmingham B15 2TT T:+44(0)121-414-7919 F:+44(0)121-414-7920 E: enquiries@c-sap.bham.ac.uk
