The Importance of Music Education Essay
Why have creative skills been put on the back burner in today's society? Some say that music education is a waste of valuable resources, takes time
away from academic subjects, is noisy and distracting, when in reality this is false. Music is a valuable resource that every human being should enjoy.
Although our economy has been failing lately, we should not let ourselves believe that the only way to be productive is in a field that makes us
unhappy, like computers or science. In America's recent economic downfall, music education is commonly one of the first programs to be cut in
districts around the country; this should not be the case because it benefits students academically, socially, and physically throughout the rest of their
lives....show more content...
Students involved in music are often more confident in their mathematical abilities and can also operate faster when problem solving. In the
debate about importance of music programs, it is clear that music is just as important as core curriculum subjects. In society individuals who
participated in music are more successful in their careers and are often more cultured. A career can be defined as the general progression of your
working or professional lives. Individuals who are involved in music often obtain careers they love and also collect more money. Mastering the
arts has been closely correlated with high earnings (MENC Staff 2), although to most people who embrace music money isn't the most important
thing in life. Music can unite people like no other activity and makes individuals want to help others and work together. Musically skilled people
are often better problem solvers and perform more community service (Paige). They also enjoy it more than others. Chorus America found that
choral singers are more likely to be involved in community service, 76% compared to 44% of those that aren't, and twice as likely to be consumers
of other arts, not just music (MENC Staff 4). From personal experience, being involved in music has changed my life, I am happier and more well
rounded the longer I stick with it, and many other people feel this way as well. Skills like creativity, flexibility, discipline and teamwork are

Classification Of Hip-Hop Music
Top five lists are usually made among fans of hip–hop music, including myself rank rappers by making a top five or top ten list of the best rappers out
now and the best rappers of all time. For many real hip–hop heads that can be very difficult, especially for the ones who don't have a huge bias toward
a certain era of hip–hop. Even MTV gets the list wrong every year. Another way that can be hard is because a lot rappers put on the list, for
drastically different reasons. Some will be put on for talent, some will be put on for album sales, some will be put on for their messages, and some
just for being pioneers, when we do that we are discrediting certain people. When we name who is the hottest of all time people usually include the right

Classification of Music
People judge one another on a variety of aspects, whether it is the clothes they wear or the people they socialize with. I believe that there are many
different things that affect all these aspects, things that create our individual personality. The most major influence on an individual's personality is the
music he or she listens to. Music affects the individual's behavior, actions, the way he or she thinks, wears and even the way the individual will
speak. These are the very things that we are judged upon as humans. By the classification and break down of the music we listen too is how we can
find ourselves. For me, music is soothing, and not something to be butchered with loud yelling or talk of...show more content...
Then there are those songs that really speak of non–sense, written and performed by drunken buffoons like The Doors and David Bowie, all songs I
find very amusing. The very music that I can throw my head around to in random directions and still call it dancing. With this comes that relaxed
fun, and no care in the world. Songs that push away all fears, worries and stresses that may present in life today. During the time of these artists,
they had no worries; they were high half of their lives but still just having a good time. That is the way I like to feel, and why I believe I was born
to the wrong generation. I try to bring the early classic rock era to me as much as possible; I find this easiest through the music. I also listen to the
classics, where I find reassurance. I have never been disappointed from any of these artists: The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and The
EaglesВ–the famous В‘the' bands. Everyone has heard their songs and every one of those songs is famous and widely known even with today's
generation. Most of their songs have no hidden meanings or metaphors, but I never can be let down by the songs of these bands. All of their songs are
consistent with each other and never change. There are a few artists of my generation that bring back that relaxed metaphorical tone that early classic

Essay on Music is the Only Universal Language
Music is the Only Universal Language
When people think of the term literacy, they most commonly define it as the ability to read and write, in the verbal sense. But there is a wide range
of literacy apart from that, which also requires mastering a set of crucial skills. One such example is musical literacy, which is the ability to read,
write, or appreciate music. Musical literacy is not all that different from the verbal kind. Leonard G. Ratner, when speaking of 18th and 19th century
music, writes "Both language and music had their vocabulary, syntax, and arrangement of formal structures, subsumed under the title Rhetoric" (xiv).
In other words, music, like language, is based on its own set of learned rules, and both serve as a form of...show more content...
Also, I am learning more and more how to sight–read, which increases the literacy factor. It is a great feeling to be able to pick out the basic melody of
an unknown piece.
On a greater scale, music literacy affects the entire world. Obviously, if musical literacy didn't exist, there would be no music. That would have cost
the world a great deal, since music isn't confined to modern times. Music has been around as long as the first humans have, and it has been a part of
defining each time period. The lyric music of ancient Rome exemplified an emphasis on storytelling, and the Harlem Renaissance served as a way for
African Americans to finally be able to express themselves musically. During the 1960's, rock music became not only a new form of music, but also a
form of rebellion for American youth.
With the variety of life throughout the world, there are different expectations for musical literacy. For instance, the style of Japanese music is very
different from that of Cajun music, or Hispanic from West African. These variances give each culture a particular style of expression. Music literacy
isn't even confined within cultures; it also produces a way for different cultures to learn from each other. For example, western rock musicians often
incorporated traditional Indian music into their style during the 1960's, which broke boundaries between different approaches to literacy.
This shows that music literacy serves as a

Title:
Effects of listening to different types of music one week prior to midterm exam on student's result in a randomized classroom clinical trial
Introduction:
Dating back to 1973 was one of the earliest studies done on music and memory. The study done by Mowsesian and Heyer involves 15 year old
students listening to music while taking their exam. The researchers found out that music does not have a huge impact on student's performance
(Hallam, Price, & Katsarou, 2002). In contrast, there is also one study done by Fogelson in 1973 which stated there are positive effect of music while
studying on children's exam performance (Bloor, 2009). Therefore, Hallam suggested that early studies are done poorly and not set up in a practical
framework, this is why the results of the studies produced are not consistent (Hallam, Price, & Katsarou, 2002).
However, there are also several studies in the 20's century that shown music actually does improve information retention. One of the studies done
involves 13 students from third grade which are required to study on a vibroacoustic music chair for 23 minutes three times a week for 23 weeks.
Before the study starts, student are tested on their reading and word recognition ability, another similar test is also done towards the end of the study
and the pre and posttest results are being compared. As a result, the use of vibroacoustic music chair has a positive impact on the student's reading
ability (Carlson, Hoffman, Gray, & Thompson,

There are a lot of thing that is wrong with steaming music,It allows people to stream music without really owning the album. This is really bad
because they don't pay money because then the artist don't get any money. They only get payed a penny for every time there song is played. They
could have the song played 500 times and only have 5 dollars. That's not good. They are going to end up having to depend on there products. Like

Essentially, a comic book is a graphic, animated, colorful booklet, which could be black and white as well, and it also tells a story. ("Types of

animated, colorful or black and white, and they tell a story also. Music videos can be divided into three major genres according to the mood, style, and
the fanzines, which usually refer to– essentially if you break it down–fans. ("Types of Comic Books).

The music video "Invented Sex" sung by Trey Songz is clearly about sex so however sex makes you feel, that's how you would feel about this video.
Then there's the song "Please Don't Go" by Tank which exerts the pain of losing a loved one. R & b music videos, as you can see, can exert many
different moods.
The style of r & b is for the most part very smooth, sensual, and soulful. It gives people a piece of mind. Rhythm and blues styles have changed a
lot over the years but it continues to be the most popular songs at weddings. As for r & b videos, they usually involve only two people, a man and a
woman. Most of the time in r & b videos the two people involved are having a wedding, fighting, or making love. Most r & b fans are older married
couples who know what real love and hurt is all about. The true fans understand what the singer is trying to portray in the video, probably because it
looks similar to a situation they have been in before.
The last type of music video is gospel videos. Everyone should agree that there is something about gospel music videos that just makes you get up
and dance or just cry out to God. The mood of gospel music videos is very dynamic. They can be sad, as if you know you've done something wrong
and you just want to cry out to God and apologize for it, or they can make you really happy and excited that you know God. Gospel music videos that
make you happy just make you want to praise God for all that he's done in your life. Not

Essay on music and emotions
How can different types of music affect people's emotions? Music has many different ways to affect people. In some ways, it is good for the body
both physically and mentally. In other ways, people think it is nice to listen to. More detailed, music has personalities, which can express what people
feel. There are many observations involving different ways to express human emotions. Emotions are very interesting things, especially when they
involve music. Music can have many personalities, affect people's emotions, and be used as therapy.
If music reveals emotions, it is not a normal emotion like any other (Stecker 273). The expression in music can be considered a traditionalized

The mind is greatly impacted by music by showing healthful changes (www.bellaonline.com/articles/). Doctors now use music for their patients'

heart problems, which worked quite effectively. (www.bellaonline.com/articles/). People who have had migraines frequently, were trained to use music
and relaxing procedures to reduce their headaches. Studies have also shown that music helps students with their intelligence levels
(www.bellaonline.com/articles/). A majority of students had higher test scores than others because they listened to Mozart before their exam. People
who listened to classical music for an hour and a half while revising manuscripts increased their accuracy by 21% (www.bellaonline.com/articles) (Mish

Music Is A Universal Language
Good music doesn't have an expiration date. Over the years, it has introduced new sounds and patterns into our everyday lives. From belting out
your favorite song in the shower to quietly tapping your foot to the new song on the radio. The long and winding path torn from music's origin has
expanded through time to today's modern music. Modern music consists of contemporary ideas and traditional tunes with a twist. Music has
undoubtedly changed over the years and most people have a persona definition of what music is to them. The simple definition of music according
to author, David Ludden, (2015) "Music is a universal language." (par. 1). People use music to tell stories and communicate. Much like Taylor Swift
writes songs about her past relationships, I personally see music as a detour to get things out in the open without having a personal confrontation. I see
music as stress reliever, especially when writing; it's a way to say what needs said but with the soothing sounds of a guitar or piano in the background
of your thoughts. Like the diary 2.0. While music has kept a steady definition through time, modern music has been re–invented and re–made to be
distant from that of an older age. Music has always been around, just remixed as time goes on. We know that it has been around for a while because
geologists have found cave paintings dating back to prehistoric ages where they are depicting people dancing, proving to a presence of some
interpretation of music. Music was

According to www.talks.cam.ac.uk, "Globalization emphasises difference, promotes pluralism, and increases diversity through the accelerating
circulation of a multiplicity of cultural practices. In turn, music affected these elements of globalization in significant and often unexpected ways." In
the late 2004, a series of papers (research project) on the topic of world music and globalisation became a hot topic in a conference and gradually took
on a life turning onto a virtual laboratory for teaching and research on the relationship between music and globalisation under ethnography which was
funded by the Canadian Social Sciences and humanities Research Council from 2003–2006. Since then this topic has got wide meaning and more
complicated. If we compare the past and the present, we find that Globalisation was everywhere and it is an everlasting process until human race
exists. As we know main important thing for any living beings is to survive. To survive human need food, water, clothes, peace, friends, family, land
and community. When more and more people came into a contact it was, in both ways, prosperous and disastrous situation. Desire, power and greed
led to war that imposed imperialism, colonisation, exchange of culture, conversion of religion and wide spread of business. Apparently, music could
not remain untouched. More than 2000 years ago, the invasions and influences of Greece, Rome and Prussia have a great effect on each another.

Descriptive Essay About Music
I grab the white headphones and put the EarPods into my ears. Then, I go through a variety of songs until my thumb lingers over the song "You
Know Me" by a band named Thunder Dreamer. Quickly, I click play and the world around me stops as the music enters my ears. The soft guitar
strums put an end to my over thinking and suppresses my feelings of sadness. By the time the vocals appear in the song, I can only think about music
and how happy I am in this moment. By this I mean that hearing music is the equivalent of being at peace. To be more specific, music puts me in every
place I've ever felt happiness, tastes as sweet as it sounds and relaxes my overwhelming thoughts.
With this said, I am on top of the world when I have the headphones in my ears. I feel as though I can do anything when I am blasting a song by
Cage the Elephant on my speaker. Whether I am listening through my headphones or on a speaker, the volume is always the highest it can be. This
way, the music penetrates through the walls and through every layer of skin on my body. I know this high level of noise is not good for me, but
the music is. Uniquely, music places me back into every dream I've ever forgotten. I am suddenly placed into the dream where I'm a kid and I am
laughing as my friends try to catch me in a game of tag. In a matter of three beats, I am a child again and I can only thank music for this. Moreover,
when I hear Frank Sinatra's voice playing from my "Classics" playlist, I am put back into the

Reflective Essay On Music
Although many may say that learning an instrument is not for everyone, I believe that it is. Over the course of learning how to play an instrument, I
too have thought that it wasn't for me. When I was around the age of 10, I tried to play the drums but quickly lost interest and gave up. It wasn't until
years later that I decided to try again and learn guitar. Withlearning guitar, other instruments came to me easily and I found a passion for music.
Learning an instrument has had nothing but positive impact on many aspects of my life, something I think everyone should experience. Learning an
instrument is tough, however, it is worth it. A problem that would steer many people away from learning is the time that it takes to learn. In our
modern day society, everything is rushed and we really don't set aside a lot of time to sit down to learn anything after school is over. Although learning
an instrument takes lots of practice, it doesn't take up too much time. At the music store I work at, the instructors recommend practicing only for about
15–20 minutes a day. I believe that you have this amount of time in your life no matter how busy you are. A lot of people waste hours of their time
watching a tv show, or scrolling through their phones. Don't be like these people and take advantage of the time you have and learn something new.
Taking the time to actually sit down and learn to play an instrument can have a dramatic effect on your life. It can improve many aspects of your

forms: West Coast, East Coast, Dirty South, Gangster Rap, Pop Rap, Christian Rap, Conscious Rap and Electro Hip–hop. Even though the first three
are named based on their location, there are still certain sounds and subjects of lyrics that relate to each area. Each zone has different influences, for
example, Dirty South Rap is distinguished for is dance ability and rhythmic delivery. Gangster Rap is the most extreme versions of hip–hop. These
songs usually glorify the street life and contain explicit words that society deems as not invaluable. Pop Rap is a much more contemporary genre that
has catered to listeners more than any other style. Pop doesn't provide any very distinct sound, but lyrics are usually simplified down and less
controversial than gangster rap. Christian Rap and Conscious Rap are both identical in a way because of their respectful and thoughtful rhymes. While
Jazz, Rap, and Electro Pop are the most recent forms of Rap, both incorporate aspects of music and electric into

Unfortunately, I personally think that some of the course is not necessary for some majors. For my own experience, I have to take Music

So, after talking to my advisor, I took Music Appreciation. In that class, I learned so many things about music history, types of music and so much
more. However, none of that information is helpful for my career. I believe engineer will never be asked for music knowledge, especially its history

Should Music Be Considered A Language Analysis

music perform significantly higher on academic tests. Music should be studied more in high school since it is considered a language because maybe
kids will think better and get better grades in school. Music is the longest language around. It has been proven that music has a high level of thinking
and organizing. I use to do choir in high school and after that class I seemed to be calmer and able to pay attention better in class. Music has a way of

Music in My Life Essay
Music, it's a part of everyone's life. From childhood sing–a–long songs, to garage grunge music, and everything in between music is everywhere.
Growing up with an extremely musical background it was in my genes that I would become a musician. Playing music has helped me become the
person I am by being a release for my anger, broadening my future and make new friends.. I first joined the band in the fourth grade playing the
drums. I played for about two weeks then I quit because I didn't like it, mostly because of the teacher. In the sixth grade we got a new music teacher
and told me I look like a trumpet player, so I gave it a try. I was taking music lessons but after the first one my music teacher told me she had to leave

When I get into fights with my step dad which to this day is still a problem instead of resorting to violence I would go and blare by favorite song at
the time over and over again. Also after having a hard time in high school being wrongfully suspended twice instead of dropping out or giving up I
had my bass to return home to home to sit for hours and write songs, hundreds of songs. The songs would relate to my feelings. Some songs would
be hard full of hate and anger but some songs were mellow with sad heart filled lyrics. If it weren't for these songs to write I you would not be
sitting here reading my paper. The girls in high school were also a reason for writing songs and playing trumpet. In all of my high school all my
relationships I was cheated on. This caused for harsh break ups, uncalled for arguments, and an untrusting Nick Henry. High school years where
trying times and if it wasn't for my music things would not have turned out they way they have. Music equals life, or the saying goes. I feel if I
had dropped out of band I would have missed out on a great experience. The ability to play music is something that will live on in you for the rest
of your life. Unlike playing a sport you can't ever get worn out or injured and lose the talent. All through school I played sports from baseball to
soccer, sure it was fun but it was never my calling, but just being able to play music for a live audience is a feeling that is so amazing there are not

Music has the power to change the acceptance of one to change the personality. Many people are affected and changed by music because they want to
express themselves as part of a culture and through fashion choices they are able to create an individual personality which is unique and is enough to
define the expression of an individual. fashion and the music has been associated with the people and help them to connect their styles, personality and

My favorite type song is different from my least favorite type song by the beat, the way the words are organized, and the way that the people who sing
it. In my favorite type of music, wich is usually rap, has big base drops and is very fast paced. In the slow paced music like poems it is obdviesly slow
most of the time and there isn't any base. I like to lay in my bed listening to rap music and it just soothes me for some reason I really don't know
why,but it just makes me feel better. Other slow paced music like poems being sung just makes me scream speed up,be louder, make some more

Both of these types of songs include singing of course and they both include tunes that can get fairly katchy.

  • 2. The Importance of Music Education Essay Why have creative skills been put on the back burner in today's society? Some say that music education is a waste of valuable resources, takes time away from academic subjects, is noisy and distracting, when in reality this is false. Music is a valuable resource that every human being should enjoy. Although our economy has been failing lately, we should not let ourselves believe that the only way to be productive is in a field that makes us unhappy, like computers or science. In America's recent economic downfall, music education is commonly one of the first programs to be cut in districts around the country; this should not be the case because it benefits students academically, socially, and physically throughout the rest of their lives....show more content... Students involved in music are often more confident in their mathematical abilities and can also operate faster when problem solving. In the debate about importance of music programs, it is clear that music is just as important as core curriculum subjects. In society individuals who participated in music are more successful in their careers and are often more cultured. A career can be defined as the general progression of your working or professional lives. Individuals who are involved in music often obtain careers they love and also collect more money. Mastering the arts has been closely correlated with high earnings (MENC Staff 2), although to most people who embrace music money isn't the most important thing in life. Music can unite people like no other activity and makes individuals want to help others and work together. Musically skilled people are often better problem solvers and perform more community service (Paige). They also enjoy it more than others. Chorus America found that choral singers are more likely to be involved in community service, 76% compared to 44% of those that aren't, and twice as likely to be consumers of other arts, not just music (MENC Staff 4). From personal experience, being involved in music has changed my life, I am happier and more well rounded the longer I stick with it, and many other people feel this way as well. Skills like creativity, flexibility, discipline and teamwork are Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Classification Of Hip-Hop Music Top five lists are usually made among fans of hip–hop music, including myself rank rappers by making a top five or top ten list of the best rappers out now and the best rappers of all time. For many real hip–hop heads that can be very difficult, especially for the ones who don't have a huge bias toward a certain era of hip–hop. Even MTV gets the list wrong every year. Another way that can be hard is because a lot rappers put on the list, for drastically different reasons. Some will be put on for talent, some will be put on for album sales, some will be put on for their messages, and some just for being pioneers, when we do that we are discrediting certain people. • 4. Classification of Music Classification of Music People judge one another on a variety of aspects, whether it is the clothes they wear or the people they socialize with. I believe that there are many different things that affect all these aspects, things that create our individual personality. The most major influence on an individual's personality is the music he or she listens to. Music affects the individual's behavior, actions, the way he or she thinks, wears and even the way the individual will speak. These are the very things that we are judged upon as humans. By the classification and break down of the music we listen too is how we can find ourselves. For me, music is soothing, and not something to be butchered with loud yelling or talk of...show more content... Then there are those songs that really speak of non–sense, written and performed by drunken buffoons like The Doors and David Bowie, all songs I find very amusing. The very music that I can throw my head around to in random directions and still call it dancing. With this comes that relaxed fun, and no care in the world. Songs that push away all fears, worries and stresses that may present in life today. During the time of these artists, they had no worries; they were high half of their lives but still just having a good time. That is the way I like to feel, and why I believe I was born to the wrong generation. I try to bring the early classic rock era to me as much as possible; I find this easiest through the music. I also listen to the classics, where I find reassurance. I have never been disappointed from any of these artists: The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and The EaglesВ–the famous В‘the' bands. Everyone has heard their songs and every one of those songs is famous and widely known even with today's generation. Most of their songs have no hidden meanings or metaphors, but I never can be let down by the songs of these bands. All of their songs are consistent with each other and never change. There are a few artists of my generation that bring back that relaxed metaphorical tone that early classic rock Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Essay on Music is the Only Universal Language Music is the Only Universal Language When people think of the term literacy, they most commonly define it as the ability to read and write, in the verbal sense. But there is a wide range of literacy apart from that, which also requires mastering a set of crucial skills. One such example is musical literacy, which is the ability to read, write, or appreciate music. Musical literacy is not all that different from the verbal kind. Leonard G. Ratner, when speaking of 18th and 19th century music, writes "Both language and music had their vocabulary, syntax, and arrangement of formal structures, subsumed under the title Rhetoric" (xiv). In other words, music, like language, is based on its own set of learned rules, and both serve as a form of...show more content... Also, I am learning more and more how to sight–read, which increases the literacy factor. It is a great feeling to be able to pick out the basic melody of an unknown piece. On a greater scale, music literacy affects the entire world. Obviously, if musical literacy didn't exist, there would be no music. That would have cost the world a great deal, since music isn't confined to modern times. Music has been around as long as the first humans have, and it has been a part of defining each time period. The lyric music of ancient Rome exemplified an emphasis on storytelling, and the Harlem Renaissance served as a way for African Americans to finally be able to express themselves musically. During the 1960's, rock music became not only a new form of music, but also a form of rebellion for American youth. With the variety of life throughout the world, there are different expectations for musical literacy. For instance, the style of Japanese music is very different from that of Cajun music, or Hispanic from West African. These variances give each culture a particular style of expression. Music literacy isn't even confined within cultures; it also produces a way for different cultures to learn from each other. For example, western rock musicians often incorporated traditional Indian music into their style during the 1960's, which broke boundaries between different approaches to literacy. This shows that music literacy serves as a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Title: Effects of listening to different types of music one week prior to midterm exam on student's result in a randomized classroom clinical trial Introduction: Dating back to 1973 was one of the earliest studies done on music and memory. The study done by Mowsesian and Heyer involves 15 year old students listening to music while taking their exam. The researchers found out that music does not have a huge impact on student's performance (Hallam, Price, & Katsarou, 2002). In contrast, there is also one study done by Fogelson in 1973 which stated there are positive effect of music while studying on children's exam performance (Bloor, 2009). Therefore, Hallam suggested that early studies are done poorly and not set up in a practical framework, this is why the results of the studies produced are not consistent (Hallam, Price, & Katsarou, 2002). However, there are also several studies in the 20's century that shown music actually does improve information retention. One of the studies done involves 13 students from third grade which are required to study on a vibroacoustic music chair for 23 minutes three times a week for 23 weeks. Before the study starts, student are tested on their reading and word recognition ability, another similar test is also done towards the end of the study and the pre and posttest results are being compared. As a result, the use of vibroacoustic music chair has a positive impact on the student's reading ability (Carlson, Hoffman, Gray, & Thompson, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The style of r & b is for the most part very smooth, sensual, and soulful. It gives people a piece of mind. Rhythm and blues styles have changed a lot over the years but it continues to be the most popular songs at weddings. As for r & b videos, they usually involve only two people, a man and a woman. Most of the time in r & b videos the two people involved are having a wedding, fighting, or making love. Most r & b fans are older married couples who know what real love and hurt is all about. The true fans understand what the singer is trying to portray in the video, probably because it looks similar to a situation they have been in before. The last type of music video is gospel videos. Everyone should agree that there is something about gospel music videos that just makes you get up and dance or just cry out to God. The mood of gospel music videos is very dynamic. They can be sad, as if you know you've done something wrong and you just want to cry out to God and apologize for it, or they can make you really happy and excited that you know God. Gospel music videos that make you happy just make you want to praise God for all that he's done in your life. Not Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 10. Music Is A Universal Language Good music doesn't have an expiration date. Over the years, it has introduced new sounds and patterns into our everyday lives. From belting out your favorite song in the shower to quietly tapping your foot to the new song on the radio. The long and winding path torn from music's origin has expanded through time to today's modern music. Modern music consists of contemporary ideas and traditional tunes with a twist. Music has undoubtedly changed over the years and most people have a persona definition of what music is to them. The simple definition of music according to author, David Ludden, (2015) "Music is a universal language." (par. 1). People use music to tell stories and communicate. Much like Taylor Swift writes songs about her past relationships, I personally see music as a detour to get things out in the open without having a personal confrontation. I see music as stress reliever, especially when writing; it's a way to say what needs said but with the soothing sounds of a guitar or piano in the background of your thoughts. Like the diary 2.0. While music has kept a steady definition through time, modern music has been re–invented and re–made to be distant from that of an older age. Music has always been around, just remixed as time goes on. We know that it has been around for a while because geologists have found cave paintings dating back to prehistoric ages where they are depicting people dancing, proving to a presence of some interpretation of music. According to www.talks.cam.ac.uk, "Globalization emphasises difference, promotes pluralism, and increases diversity through the accelerating circulation of a multiplicity of cultural practices. In turn, music affected these elements of globalization in significant and often unexpected ways." In the late 2004, a series of papers (research project) on the topic of world music and globalisation became a hot topic in a conference and gradually took on a life turning onto a virtual laboratory for teaching and research on the relationship between music and globalisation under ethnography which was funded by the Canadian Social Sciences and humanities Research Council from 2003–2006. Since then this topic has got wide meaning and more complicated. If we compare the past and the present, we find that Globalisation was everywhere and it is an everlasting process until human race exists. As we know main important thing for any living beings is to survive. To survive human need food, water, clothes, peace, friends, family, land and community. When more and more people came into a contact it was, in both ways, prosperous and disastrous situation. Desire, power and greed led to war that imposed imperialism, colonisation, exchange of culture, conversion of religion and wide spread of business. Apparently, music could not remain untouched. • 12. Descriptive Essay About Music I grab the white headphones and put the EarPods into my ears. Then, I go through a variety of songs until my thumb lingers over the song "You Know Me" by a band named Thunder Dreamer. Quickly, I click play and the world around me stops as the music enters my ears. The soft guitar strums put an end to my over thinking and suppresses my feelings of sadness. By the time the vocals appear in the song, I can only think about music and how happy I am in this moment. By this I mean that hearing music is the equivalent of being at peace. To be more specific, music puts me in every place I've ever felt happiness, tastes as sweet as it sounds and relaxes my overwhelming thoughts. With this said, I am on top of the world when I have the headphones in my ears. I feel as though I can do anything when I am blasting a song by Cage the Elephant on my speaker. Whether I am listening through my headphones or on a speaker, the volume is always the highest it can be. This way, the music penetrates through the walls and through every layer of skin on my body. I know this high level of noise is not good for me, but the music is. Uniquely, music places me back into every dream I've ever forgotten. I am suddenly placed into the dream where I'm a kid and I am laughing as my friends try to catch me in a game of tag. In a matter of three beats, I am a child again and I can only thank music for this. Moreover, when I hear Frank Sinatra's voice playing from my "Classics" playlist, I am put back into the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Reflective Essay On Music Although many may say that learning an instrument is not for everyone, I believe that it is. Over the course of learning how to play an instrument, I too have thought that it wasn't for me. When I was around the age of 10, I tried to play the drums but quickly lost interest and gave up. It wasn't until years later that I decided to try again and learn guitar. Withlearning guitar, other instruments came to me easily and I found a passion for music. Learning an instrument has had nothing but positive impact on many aspects of my life, something I think everyone should experience. Learning an instrument is tough, however, it is worth it. A problem that would steer many people away from learning is the time that it takes to learn. In our modern day society, everything is rushed and we really don't set aside a lot of time to sit down to learn anything after school is over. Although learning an instrument takes lots of practice, it doesn't take up too much time. At the music store I work at, the instructors recommend practicing only for about 15–20 minutes a day. I believe that you have this amount of time in your life no matter how busy you are. A lot of people waste hours of their time watching a tv show, or scrolling through their phones. Don't be like these people and take advantage of the time you have and learn something new. Taking the time to actually sit down and learn to play an instrument can have a dramatic effect on your life. It can improve many aspects of your Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Growing up with an extremely musical background it was in my genes that I would become a musician. Playing music has helped me become the person I am by being a release for my anger, broadening my future and make new friends.. I first joined the band in the fourth grade playing the drums. I played for about two weeks then I quit because I didn't like it, mostly because of the teacher. The songs would relate to my feelings. Some songs would be hard full of hate and anger but some songs were mellow with sad heart filled lyrics. If it weren't for these songs to write I you would not be sitting here reading my paper. The girls in high school were also a reason for writing songs and playing trumpet. In all of my high school all my relationships I was cheated on. This caused for harsh break ups, uncalled for arguments, and an untrusting Nick Henry. High school years where trying times and if it wasn't for my music things would not have turned out they way they have. Music equals life, or the saying goes. I feel if I had dropped out of band I would have missed out on a great experience. The ability to play music is something that will live on in you for the rest of your life. Unlike playing a sport you can't ever get worn out or injured and lose the talent. Other slow paced music like poems being sung just makes me scream speed up,be louder, make some more noise, and vibrate these headphones. Both of these types of songs include singing of course and they both include tunes that can get fairly katchy. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
