Personal Essay On Life Choices
Life Choices Have you ever wondered why your choices matter so much in life? When a child is born, parents and the society make decisions for
the child, but as the child begins to learn (interact and explore the world), they start to have their own interests and opinions. Decision making when
one is young is minimal, but as the child grows into an adolescent (and later adult) they are given increased decision making choices. Life choices can
have a negative or positive impact. It's important to learn from both negative and positive to see what works and what does not work. The choices one
makes defines and shapes that specific person's life constantly.
Being that I personally am only eighteen years old, I have made some life choices on...show more content...
She was at a party one block from her house, that is off campus, at school. At parties there was always a designated driver if there was any drinking
going on. She had a couple of drinks a few hours before she decided to leave and "thought" she would be fine to drive. Turns out, she was not okay.
She had a minor collision on the way home. No other vehicle was involved and no–one was hurt, but the police were called because she ran up a curb
and hit a pole. While taking the sobriety test she passed two of the three steps, but the standing on one leg part tripped her up. Unfortunately, she
failed the sobriety test. Now everything is up in limbo while waiting for blood work to come in. There will probably be consequences of expensive
legal fees, a court hearing and then whatever punishment the court finds appropriate. Depending on all the results, she is worried how this one
mistake will affect her medical career goal. Sometimes bad life choices can have serious results that change the course you preferred to be on. Be
smart about your decisions and don't let bad choices guide you off your chosen path.
Pursuing a higher education after high school seemed like it was just a necessary step in life, almost as if it's expected of you. However, it really is a
choice and lies in the free will of the young adults to make for themselves. College, trade schools or work training programs designed for specific
career paths are all options of higher

My Personal Experience In My Life
For an individual to be a success, it is imperative to possess qualities beyond intellect. To flourish in your career and in life, your character must drive
you toward your aspirations. Throughout life, several experiences have molded me into a person of resilience, empathy, and composure. Such values
have allowed me to reach my goals and serve my community. In supplement to my intelligence, these assets render me an exceptional student and
employee. The ability to be resilient is at the core of who I am, and the challenges that have created this strength have taught me empathy. Because of
my weight, I faced bullying often and found liberation in sports and exercise. Eventually, I lost fifty pounds and ascended the social ladder. With...show

When my grandfather suffered from a massive heart attack, and was brain dead upon resuscitation, I started practicing composure. Once taken life
support, his heart kept beating for a week. Because my parents raised me to be strong and to put others before myself, I spent the week supporting
my grandmother and taking care of my grandfather's body. I never thought I could handle something like that, but for my grandfather, I would do
anything. That week I truly put others before myself; staying at the hospital until the early morning, then driving straight to class, and back to the
hospital again. During this time was when I knew to pick a vocation where I could be of assistance to others. Helping to care for my grandfather is
what led me to my job as a nursing assistant. This is when I began discovering my love for service and developing myself as a woman for others. At
work, there were days when I wanted to break down and cry in front patients due to the pain I felt at the inability of myself and the healthcare system
to cure their illness, but I did not cry. Instead, I would tell them that they could handle it, and they are capable of more than they realize; that I hurt
for them and that I was remorseful there is nothing further I could do. No matter how terrible my day had been, there was no other option but to walk
in that room and act like I had the best day of my life and that is composure. Lucky enough to have the

Reflection Of Personal Life
1. I've always learned best by relating lecture concepts to my personal life, and this class is no different. I've been challenged to see my own
development through the perspectives and theories set by psychologists before me, bringing new light to my occasionally quirky personality. The
biopsychosocial breaks down into biological – meaning brain processing and genetics, psychological – referring to personal thoughts and motives, and
social or environmental situations – the influence of others that shapes who someone may become. Life cycle forces can be attributed with the
generation of seemingly new traits as well. The biological factor that I can think most shaped my personality is the frustratingly large bridge of my
nose. My moms whole side of the family has a massive bump in the center of the bridge of their nose. From a young age, I was always incredibly
self–conscious of the bump I had started to notice on myself. I would hide my nose in books at school, or try to cover it up with my hand because I
was so sure everyone would make fun of me. I wouldn't let anyone take pictures of me, and there were times that I would pray for the bump to go
away so I could just live a normal life. I eventually got over it because while I believe prayers can do a lot, they'll never change the bump on my
nose. A small genetic allele caused me so much stress, especially in middle school, but it also taught me to love myself and others despite their
outward appearance. In regards to

My Personal And Academic Life
Famous professional boxer, Muhammad Ali, once said, "Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee." My lifelong ambitions revolve around this
central idea of striving and determination. By continuously encountering both positive and negative situations, I have still managed to stay
aggressive and strong. This will help me learn that each step I take now and in the future dictates the progress in my life. Society always talks
about how one can stay motivated and strive for success throughout life, but there seems to be more than that than said. Many individuals try to
reach a state of perfection, however, they are just as concerned describing their strengths as they are describing their weaknesses. These strengths
and weaknesses are defined and shaped by our everyday actions and behavior in both the academic and secular world. Aside from thinking about
education and success, I am focused on great visions that will fundamentally help me live prudently. I have faced many challenges in my personal
and academic life that have provided life learning lessons and experiences for me to learn from and bring change. These experiences and lessons
have ignited a new spark in my life that will present fresh signs of a new hope, with a deeper significance, broader experience, and more commitment.
In addition to being motivated and possessing the desire to succeed, it is imperative that we always maintain faith throughout our lives. Faith has
played a prominent role in my life in that it

Personal Experience with Crisis We have all experience some form of crisis in our life. Whether it is minor or more severe, it is something that many
of us can not control. A crisis can involve a series of stressful events or one difficult point in life that effects a person's overall well–being. I had a hard
time coming up with what to write as my crisis for this assignment because when I hear the word crisis, the first thing that comes to mind is that
crisis is a very severe event such as a war or natural disaster. As I read more in depth about the concept of crisis, I found that it does not have to be
something as serious as a war. It can simply be a point in life where you face a difficult situation that makes you feel under...show more content...
Although some may not consider this a crisis, it was for me. This was a crisis for me because I moved from Ghana where the culture, language, people
and overall atmosphere was different. The transition to move to a different country and learn a new culture and language was a stressful and
difficult time in my life. I felt alone and out of place because I did not have friends and when I did, I could not understand or make a conversation
with them for a long time. The phase in the crisis cycle most relatable to my experience is phase 2 – The intensification stage. In this phase, individuals
feel a loss of internal control causing frustration, fear and anger. This stage is most relevant to my experience because I felt frustrated and a loss of
internal control. What caused this crisis was me moving to Canada and not knowing the culture or English. I would not have experienced the crisis if
I knew English and Canadian culture. Due to my circumstances, there was nothing I could have done to stop the crisis from happening. The
behaviour of my peers and people around me during the crisis was both positive and negative, I was bullied and felt that my class mates were judging

Life : A Personal Essay : The Meaning Of Life
According to the "Oxford English Dictionary", 'life' is a noun that is defined as, "The condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic
matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death." (OED Online, Oxford University
Press). So, it's technically saying that life is the development and change of a living thing until it dies. Scientifically, that's correct but there's a much
deeper meaning to life than given. There are about 7 billion human beings living on this earth at this moment. Each has their own unique life and
destiny to follow. Everyone faces different challenges in life which supports the meaning of life being a unique set of experiences that lead people to
their happiest and truest selves. Us humans were put on this earth to teach and learn from one another. We learn different emotions through each other
such as: anger, compassion, jealousy, sadness, and more. We were taught these in order to teach the coming generations how to feel in different
situations in order to stay in touch with their humanity. Displaying and feeling these emotions allows us to experience life changing situations
differently than others, which makes each of our lives more unique. While some people might remember the day they were married as one of their
happiest moments and their best memory, others might look back on theirs and feel sad and angry because theirs wasn't as great as the last persons.

At this point in my life, I have an obligation to my family to fulfill my duties by paying the bills with our limited income. These responsibility has

My Personal Goals Essay
As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even
fairy–tale like, we tend to see life through a rose–colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life
our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals,
we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the
many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.
First, my family goals include how I see myself and how I see my...show more content...
I have planned monthly individual date nights with my children, so that they can have my undivided attention for a certain period of time.
The second family short term goal takes into account my marriage. In order to raise happy and healthy children, a happy and healthy relationship with
one's spouse is paramount. In order to achieve this goal my husband and I have decided to also dedicate more time for the two of us. For the next
year we have made an agreement to take at least one vacation together, so that we may increase the bond that brought us together. We have also
decided that for the next three year we will spend Holidays as a family so that we may create our own family traditions, we will do whatever is in our
power to spend Holidays together, that includes not working or making other plans with the rest of our immediate families.
On many occasions my personal goals have come before my professional aspirations. A career in the medical field has always been something I
have looked forward to. As a child I wanted and dreamed of being a doctor, however due to the choices I made in life and the priorities that I had
not thought of, I have come to realize that my childhood dream may not come true. Yet, I was able to compromise and make short and long term
goals that will lead me into a career in the medical field. My long term goal is to enter the medical field world and be a respected contributor to it. I
want to be able to help others in the time of need. In

I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took

girls organization. This experience taught me many things. We were actively involved in community service activities, for which I received the
Silver Award. ( The second highest award in the organization.) I learned about the value of friendship and patients with others. This organization first
introduced me to my future career. I was also involved for three and a half years in a student government club on campus. In this club I learned many
life lessons. One of which was the value of hard work. I was one of the few people that organized the Junior/Senior Prom of 2000. My responsibilities
included planning corranation, buying and organizing decorations, planning the busing schedule, booking the photographers, fundraising, ect. This
taught me about hard work. But the best part of it was going to Prom knowing I was one of the only reasons that it happened. As far as school goes, my
schedule is very diverse. I am taking child development lab, which is a class where students from my high school can go to the local elementary
schools and work one on one with the students. I have work in the elementary school for two and a half years. I

Personal Life And Life Balance
There used to be a time when the borders between professional life and personal life were fairly clear. But, in today 's world, it has become a norm
that to become successful in your career, you have to compromise your personal life. Maintaining work–life balance is a topic which is very much
debated and discussed. Life balance involves all components of our life. For many, this includes career or paid work, child raising or elderly care,
though not always, of course. No matter our circumstances, life balance is an important function of feeling satisfied in our lives. When our life
balance is out of kilter, we might feel resentful, disappointed and burnt out, and our physical and psychological health may suffer. From my
professional experience of 8 years, I can certainly understand why this topic is one of the most important aspects in one 's career. It is always
important to draw and line between professional life and personal life. During the short–span in my work career, I always found it difficult to switch off
work life and personal life. It was always a jugglery. Because of the hectic and erratic schedule; rather than giving body and mind a chance to
rejuvenate, over–work has made it less productive. And slowly we would lose interest in what are doing, because of over–doing it. There is a very
famous saying "Stretch the elastic only till the extent the elasticity doesn 't get lost" Work–life balance is adjusting your day–to–day activities to
achieve a sense of balance

One's dream and aspirations to supersede in life must be stronger and greater than limitations set forth by others. The experience that were bestowed
to me during my short life has elevated me to the woman I am today. Please walk with me as I give you the opportunity to see the world from my eyes:
To be the person that I am now, I had to reflect and accept accountability of my past actions. My past is one that many would love to erase from
their memory, a past, which remained dormant, until I found myself. The steps involved in regaining myself encompassed letting go of my anger and
self pity. I had to look within myself and see my self's worth, which lead to my belief that I ran away to college to forget my past. During the years

My last year in college, changed the whole course of my life. Near the end of my junior year, I befriended a guy, who never would become my
boyfriend. I knew he was infatuated with me, so I lead him on. He ended up stalking me and making several death threats. I never understood the
phrase "in fear of your life", until then. Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) got involved but there wasn't much they could do except file a police
report and wait. This was a very frightening time in my life and consequently I became very disconnected with life. I never provided TPD with my
stalker's name, in fear that he would kill me if I did. I moved to a different apartment complex across town, thinking that it would make all my
problems go away. He ended up finding me and making more serious death threats against me and my family if I didn't leave Tallahassee.
I had a mental breakdown after the last death threat and I left Florida State University my senior year, I went back home to deal with my traumatic
ordeal. I quickly transferred to Florida International University and graduated the following year with my graduating class at Florida State. Graduation

First, you will be hearing from me. David Pharr, also known as Kane. I am a dynamic individual with a great interest in learning new things. Working

others might call it an addiction. I watch about six hours of Netflix every day. The shows I watch include 'The Night Shift' which is consistent with
the show 'Greysanatomy' but has more of a military background. I also watch 'Stranger Things' this show is mainly about aliens and a warp in time
that a group of kids found. Although watching Netflix is great and all playing my sports heavily outweighs watching tv on my priority list. One sport
I play is softball. I am a two–time World Series Title holder and although I am not going to college to play, I have been the MVP in both of those
tournaments. The other sport I play is Basketball, although my trophies are more about softball I excelled in basketball and made All Conference
every year of my high school years. I am naturally talented and can play any position in both sports. Now being out of high school I have decided
that maybe it is time to peruse a new passion. Close a chapter in my book of life to open a new. This new chapter will be me finding new goals in
my life to live out. These goals include keeping a good workout schedule, keeping my grades up while in school, and becoming an Anesthesiologist. I

My Personal Philosophy Of Life
Personal philosophy is something that plays a tremendous role in the life of every individual. Everyone have a different point of view about life, we
cannot expect everyone to have the same philosophy of life. Philosophy of life will be different between each person. Two people will never have the
same philosophy of life. Individuals might share some similarities between their philosophy of life but two people will never have the exactly same.
I have a strong belief that people develop and shape their own personal philosophy during their whole life. Sometimes we might attempt to think that
we already know our philosophy of life but there are some circumstances that can totally change our view. I also believe that our age plays a
tremendous role in our philosophy of life. We cannot expect a twelve–year–old to have the same view of life as a forty years old. In terms of my own
philosophy I cannot truly say that I completely know my entire personal philosophy of life but I know that now at this moment I am the one in charge
of my own philosophy about life. Even though I am 23 years old I still don't have my life completely figured about. I know what I want to do and what
are the goals that I would like to achieve but in terms of my own philosophy about life I believe that God is in charge; and that our story about life
was already written even before we were born. I can wake up with many different types of ideas or things I would like to achieve but I know that God

Essay on Personal Life
What would the world come to if people did not strive to help themselves? Would more be accomplished or nothing at all? When is helping oneself
self–interest, and when is it rude and selfish? How far does one have to go to not be selfish? In order to be not selfish, must a person spent all their
time giving to others? Is in a way giving to others even show selfishness? If that is true is it possible to end selfishness? These questions do not have
straight answers, and probably never will. Yet, to understand the importance of self–interest it is important to understand my opinion of the answers to
these questions.
Self–interest is when people strive to help their condition, or themselves without implicating harm on others. It causes...show more content...
This can easily be seen when the young athlete is suing their parents for stealing their money. This can also be seen on any of the court television
shows where people who were once the best of friends are having an absolute brawl over a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Which although it is
a lot of money, is not close to how priceless a good friendship is. Self–interest will always benefit a country while selfishness can only hurt it.
Self–interest motivates people to work harder, and if people work harder it helps everyone around them. Selfishness is quite different from self–interest
because it inflicts harm on people, while self–interest will almost always help people achieve their goals.
Giving to others is an amazing thing to do. Yet, I do not feel it is something that should be automatically expected of people. I think everyone must
work hard to get money, and lead the life that they want to live. With hard work comes profit. This profit that people make is used to pay off their
own bills, and then buy things they want for themselves. I think that people should take care of others only after they take care of themselves. This
does not mean never think of others. It just means that why should one person have to work hard to earn a living, while another person receives free
hand outs.
I also feel that people give to others to help themselves feel good about themselves. There are

Research Paper On My Hobbies
With regards to my personal life, I have been particularly blessed to have experienced a joyful and easy–going life. I was born and raised in Santa
Barbara, California and later moved to Ventura, a city just south of Santa Barbara. As a result, its safe to assume that I've been and will always be a

Furthermore, I wouldn't that I have a wide array of hobbies, however I more so have a set of hobbies which I focus on at an extremely high level

My Reflection Of My Personal Philosophy Of Life
Philosophy of Life In my short seventeen years, I have experienced a great multitude of feelings towards my own personal experiences. My own
reactions to the external circumstances that the universe has thrown at me, and I do indeed mean thrown, have allowed me to grow as a young
woman and simultaneously allow me the privilege of looking at life through the lenses I wear today. Because the way I perceive my life to date is
how I have been able to assemble the three things I value most in it: staying foolish, hungry and in love. Remembering the importance of these have
enabled me to find both success and happiness; and I know that I am doing my future self proud by continuing to remember them. Firstly, I have

I easily grow bored, and after the years have learned to stimulate my own mind. I enjoy setting goals for myself and find them ten percent more
attainable after the goal has been set; and when I meet that goal, I set another. It is this idea of never settling, always pushing that has allowed me
to blossom into the person I am today. For instance, when I found myself in the top thirty five percent of my class, I pushed myself to get to the
top fifteen percent within two years. When I set my goals for college and medical school, I do not limit myself to state schools; I push for
acceptance at the large private schools, too. It has become a habit of mine "To strive, to see, to find, and not to yield" (70). Just as Lord Tennyson
Alfred's Ulysses promised that he would not settle, I expect the same for myself. I refuse to settle for mediocre, and I swear to always yearn for
the most out of life. I live by the idea that I must push myself the furthest every time, in order to extract any sort of meaning from my work. There
is no space for easy labor in my life, but I plan to continue living a worth life living, with work worth doing. I will not subject myself to the laziness
that accompanies work one does not love because "There is no more dreadful punishment than futile and hopeless labor" (146). No one understands
this as well as Sisyphus of Albert Camus' "The Myth of Sisyphus" who is forced to push a rock up a hill repeatedly

however, most of the times things don't go as planned. Especially, career wise I believe that choosing the consulting route would be the best option

Personal life choices essay

  • 1. Personal Essay On Life Choices Life Choices Have you ever wondered why your choices matter so much in life? When a child is born, parents and the society make decisions for the child, but as the child begins to learn (interact and explore the world), they start to have their own interests and opinions. Decision making when one is young is minimal, but as the child grows into an adolescent (and later adult) they are given increased decision making choices. Life choices can have a negative or positive impact. It's important to learn from both negative and positive to see what works and what does not work. The choices one makes defines and shapes that specific person's life constantly. Being that I personally am only eighteen years old, I have made some life choices on...show more content... She was at a party one block from her house, that is off campus, at school. At parties there was always a designated driver if there was any drinking going on. She had a couple of drinks a few hours before she decided to leave and "thought" she would be fine to drive. Turns out, she was not okay. She had a minor collision on the way home. No other vehicle was involved and no–one was hurt, but the police were called because she ran up a curb and hit a pole. While taking the sobriety test she passed two of the three steps, but the standing on one leg part tripped her up. Unfortunately, she failed the sobriety test. Now everything is up in limbo while waiting for blood work to come in. There will probably be consequences of expensive legal fees, a court hearing and then whatever punishment the court finds appropriate. Depending on all the results, she is worried how this one mistake will affect her medical career goal. Sometimes bad life choices can have serious results that change the course you preferred to be on. Be smart about your decisions and don't let bad choices guide you off your chosen path. Pursuing a higher education after high school seemed like it was just a necessary step in life, almost as if it's expected of you. However, it really is a choice and lies in the free will of the young adults to make for themselves. College, trade schools or work training programs designed for specific career paths are all options of higher Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Personal Experience In My Life For an individual to be a success, it is imperative to possess qualities beyond intellect. To flourish in your career and in life, your character must drive you toward your aspirations. Throughout life, several experiences have molded me into a person of resilience, empathy, and composure. Such values have allowed me to reach my goals and serve my community. In supplement to my intelligence, these assets render me an exceptional student and employee. The ability to be resilient is at the core of who I am, and the challenges that have created this strength have taught me empathy. Because of my weight, I faced bullying often and found liberation in sports and exercise. Eventually, I lost fifty pounds and ascended the social ladder. With...show more content... When my grandfather suffered from a massive heart attack, and was brain dead upon resuscitation, I started practicing composure. Once taken life support, his heart kept beating for a week. Because my parents raised me to be strong and to put others before myself, I spent the week supporting my grandmother and taking care of my grandfather's body. I never thought I could handle something like that, but for my grandfather, I would do anything. That week I truly put others before myself; staying at the hospital until the early morning, then driving straight to class, and back to the hospital again. During this time was when I knew to pick a vocation where I could be of assistance to others. Helping to care for my grandfather is what led me to my job as a nursing assistant. This is when I began discovering my love for service and developing myself as a woman for others. At work, there were days when I wanted to break down and cry in front patients due to the pain I felt at the inability of myself and the healthcare system to cure their illness, but I did not cry. Instead, I would tell them that they could handle it, and they are capable of more than they realize; that I hurt for them and that I was remorseful there is nothing further I could do. No matter how terrible my day had been, there was no other option but to walk in that room and act like I had the best day of my life and that is composure. Lucky enough to have the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Reflection Of Personal Life 1. I've always learned best by relating lecture concepts to my personal life, and this class is no different. I've been challenged to see my own development through the perspectives and theories set by psychologists before me, bringing new light to my occasionally quirky personality. The biopsychosocial breaks down into biological – meaning brain processing and genetics, psychological – referring to personal thoughts and motives, and social or environmental situations – the influence of others that shapes who someone may become. Life cycle forces can be attributed with the generation of seemingly new traits as well. The biological factor that I can think most shaped my personality is the frustratingly large bridge of my nose. My moms whole side of the family has a massive bump in the center of the bridge of their nose. From a young age, I was always incredibly self–conscious of the bump I had started to notice on myself. I would hide my nose in books at school, or try to cover it up with my hand because I was so sure everyone would make fun of me. I wouldn't let anyone take pictures of me, and there were times that I would pray for the bump to go away so I could just live a normal life. I eventually got over it because while I believe prayers can do a lot, they'll never change the bump on my nose. A small genetic allele caused me so much stress, especially in middle school, but it also taught me to love myself and others despite their outward appearance. • 4. My Personal And Academic Life Famous professional boxer, Muhammad Ali, once said, "Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee." My lifelong ambitions revolve around this central idea of striving and determination. By continuously encountering both positive and negative situations, I have still managed to stay aggressive and strong. This will help me learn that each step I take now and in the future dictates the progress in my life. Society always talks about how one can stay motivated and strive for success throughout life, but there seems to be more than that than said. Many individuals try to reach a state of perfection, however, they are just as concerned describing their strengths as they are describing their weaknesses. These strengths and weaknesses are defined and shaped by our everyday actions and behavior in both the academic and secular world. Aside from thinking about education and success, I am focused on great visions that will fundamentally help me live prudently. I have faced many challenges in my personal and academic life that have provided life learning lessons and experiences for me to learn from and bring change. These experiences and lessons have ignited a new spark in my life that will present fresh signs of a new hope, with a deeper significance, broader experience, and more commitment. In addition to being motivated and possessing the desire to succeed, it is imperative that we always maintain faith throughout our lives. Faith has played a prominent role in my life in that it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Personal Experience with Crisis We have all experience some form of crisis in our life. Whether it is minor or more severe, it is something that many of us can not control. A crisis can involve a series of stressful events or one difficult point in life that effects a person's overall well–being. I had a hard time coming up with what to write as my crisis for this assignment because when I hear the word crisis, the first thing that comes to mind is that crisis is a very severe event such as a war or natural disaster. As I read more in depth about the concept of crisis, I found that it does not have to be something as serious as a war. It can simply be a point in life where you face a difficult situation that makes you feel under...show more content... Although some may not consider this a crisis, it was for me. This was a crisis for me because I moved from Ghana where the culture, language, people and overall atmosphere was different. The transition to move to a different country and learn a new culture and language was a stressful and difficult time in my life. I felt alone and out of place because I did not have friends and when I did, I could not understand or make a conversation with them for a long time. The phase in the crisis cycle most relatable to my experience is phase 2 – The intensification stage. In this phase, individuals feel a loss of internal control causing frustration, fear and anger. This stage is most relevant to my experience because I felt frustrated and a loss of internal control. What caused this crisis was me moving to Canada and not knowing the culture or English. I would not have experienced the crisis if I knew English and Canadian culture. Due to my circumstances, there was nothing I could have done to stop the crisis from happening. The behaviour of my peers and people around me during the crisis was both positive and negative, I was bullied and felt that my class mates were judging me for my accent Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. Life : A Personal Essay : The Meaning Of Life According to the "Oxford English Dictionary", 'life' is a noun that is defined as, "The condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death." (OED Online, Oxford University Press). So, it's technically saying that life is the development and change of a living thing until it dies. Scientifically, that's correct but there's a much deeper meaning to life than given. There are about 7 billion human beings living on this earth at this moment. Each has their own unique life and destiny to follow. Everyone faces different challenges in life which supports the meaning of life being a unique set of experiences that lead people to their happiest and truest selves. Us humans were put on this earth to teach and learn from one another. We learn different emotions through each other such as: anger, compassion, jealousy, sadness, and more. We were taught these in order to teach the coming generations how to feel in different situations in order to stay in touch with their humanity. Displaying and feeling these emotions allows us to experience life changing situations differently than others, which makes each of our lives more unique. While some people might remember the day they were married as one of their happiest moments and their best memory, others might look back on theirs and feel sad and angry because theirs wasn't as great as the last persons. • 8. Personal Mission Statement Essay Personal Mission Statement I see myself progressing in my field as well as in my education. I find my education challenging and motivating. I can see many challenges ahead and therefore I am willing to invest my time learning all the skills and knowledge of my field towards professional advancement. I hoped to be offered in a management role in 5 years, looking to move on to greater things. I'm prepared to learned new things and contribute to the overall success of the organization in a number of ways. The only specific ''plan of willingness'' is that the opportunity be within my ability to learn, interesting enough for me to dig and do a good job, and the compensation increase a reasonable amount in relation to the demands of the...show more content... I will remain a student regardless if it's only part–time to continue my classes. As of right now I am seeking employment with a company that has growth potential, good benefits, and an excellent retirement plan. It would be terrific to find a company that will help me to enhance my business skills while I'm attending DeVry University obtaining my Bachelor's degree. At this point in my life, I have an obligation to my family to fulfill my duties by paying the bills with our limited income. These responsibility has taught me a lot about work discipline and family values. I know with the support around me I can overcome any obstacle with the determination for success and using helpful resources. Even though my low income status will cause me to take a sufficient paying job to supplement my family needs. I just want to manage my time efficiently with my classes and overcome any bounds or obstacles which might await for me in my path to be successful in the future which lies ahead for me. I pray my strength in the Lord for guidance and wisdom which will foresee me to have the will and strength to keep thriving each and every day to pursue my dreams. Present State – I am unemployed at the present time seeking employment and I have a lot of time on my hands. The time management is not a issue to me because I spend all the time I want on my schoolwork. • 9. My Personal Goals Essay As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy–tale like, we tend to see life through a rose–colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal. First, my family goals include how I see myself and how I see my...show more content... I have planned monthly individual date nights with my children, so that they can have my undivided attention for a certain period of time. The second family short term goal takes into account my marriage. In order to raise happy and healthy children, a happy and healthy relationship with one's spouse is paramount. In order to achieve this goal my husband and I have decided to also dedicate more time for the two of us. For the next year we have made an agreement to take at least one vacation together, so that we may increase the bond that brought us together. We have also decided that for the next three year we will spend Holidays as a family so that we may create our own family traditions, we will do whatever is in our power to spend Holidays together, that includes not working or making other plans with the rest of our immediate families. On many occasions my personal goals have come before my professional aspirations. A career in the medical field has always been something I have looked forward to. As a child I wanted and dreamed of being a doctor, however due to the choices I made in life and the priorities that I had not thought of, I have come to realize that my childhood dream may not come true. Yet, I was able to compromise and make short and long term goals that will lead me into a career in the medical field. My long term goal is to enter the medical field world and be a respected contributor to it. I want to be able to help others in the time of need. In Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Personal Narrative My Life Essay Personal Narrative My Life I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I go instead of someone choosing for me. I have chosen to go to the local community college to get used to the college experience. College life can be an exciting time but at the same time it can be a challenge. I feel that starting out at the community college would be a better chose than "jumping" into life at a...show more content... I know this is what I want to do with my life. I want to be a positive influence in the lives of children. I want to be able to stand up and show the children that it is okay to be yourself and stand up for what you believe in. I am a well round student. For nine years I was actively involved in a girls organization. This experience taught me many things. We were actively involved in community service activities, for which I received the Silver Award. ( The second highest award in the organization.) I learned about the value of friendship and patients with others. This organization first introduced me to my future career. I was also involved for three and a half years in a student government club on campus. In this club I learned many life lessons. One of which was the value of hard work. I was one of the few people that organized the Junior/Senior Prom of 2000. My responsibilities included planning corranation, buying and organizing decorations, planning the busing schedule, booking the photographers, fundraising, ect. This taught me about hard work. But the best part of it was going to Prom knowing I was one of the only reasons that it happened. As far as school goes, my schedule is very diverse. I am taking child development lab, which is a class where students from my high school can go to the local elementary schools and work one on one with the students. I have work in the elementary school for two and a half years. I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Personal Life And Life Balance There used to be a time when the borders between professional life and personal life were fairly clear. But, in today 's world, it has become a norm that to become successful in your career, you have to compromise your personal life. Maintaining work–life balance is a topic which is very much debated and discussed. Life balance involves all components of our life. For many, this includes career or paid work, child raising or elderly care, though not always, of course. No matter our circumstances, life balance is an important function of feeling satisfied in our lives. When our life balance is out of kilter, we might feel resentful, disappointed and burnt out, and our physical and psychological health may suffer. From my professional experience of 8 years, I can certainly understand why this topic is one of the most important aspects in one 's career. It is always important to draw and line between professional life and personal life. During the short–span in my work career, I always found it difficult to switch off work life and personal life. It was always a jugglery. Because of the hectic and erratic schedule; rather than giving body and mind a chance to rejuvenate, over–work has made it less productive. And slowly we would lose interest in what are doing, because of over–doing it. There is a very famous saying "Stretch the elastic only till the extent the elasticity doesn 't get lost" Work–life balance is adjusting your day–to–day activities to achieve a sense of balance Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Reflection Of My Life Essay One's dream and aspirations to supersede in life must be stronger and greater than limitations set forth by others. The experience that were bestowed to me during my short life has elevated me to the woman I am today. Please walk with me as I give you the opportunity to see the world from my eyes: To be the person that I am now, I had to reflect and accept accountability of my past actions. My past is one that many would love to erase from their memory, a past, which remained dormant, until I found myself. The steps involved in regaining myself encompassed letting go of my anger and self pity. I had to look within myself and see my self's worth, which lead to my belief that I ran away to college to forget my past. During the years ...show more content... My last year in college, changed the whole course of my life. Near the end of my junior year, I befriended a guy, who never would become my boyfriend. I knew he was infatuated with me, so I lead him on. He ended up stalking me and making several death threats. I never understood the phrase "in fear of your life", until then. Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) got involved but there wasn't much they could do except file a police report and wait. This was a very frightening time in my life and consequently I became very disconnected with life. I never provided TPD with my stalker's name, in fear that he would kill me if I did. I moved to a different apartment complex across town, thinking that it would make all my problems go away. He ended up finding me and making more serious death threats against me and my family if I didn't leave Tallahassee. I had a mental breakdown after the last death threat and I left Florida State University my senior year, I went back home to deal with my traumatic ordeal. I quickly transferred to Florida International University and graduated the following year with my graduating class at Florida State. Our group consists of Kane (David Pharr), Kylah, Joshua, and Kendra. As a group, we chose to share about three topics that would reveal the most about our personality and character. In this paper, you will get to know more about the hobbies, goals and families of Kane (David Pharr), Kylah, Joshua, and Kendra. First, you will be hearing from me. David Pharr, also known as Kane. The shows I watch include 'The Night Shift' which is consistent with the show 'Greysanatomy' but has more of a military background. I also watch 'Stranger Things' this show is mainly about aliens and a warp in time that a group of kids found. Although watching Netflix is great and all playing my sports heavily outweighs watching tv on my priority list. One sport I play is softball. I am a two–time World Series Title holder and although I am not going to college to play, I have been the MVP in both of those tournaments. The other sport I play is Basketball, although my trophies are more about softball I excelled in basketball and made All Conference every year of my high school years. I am naturally talented and can play any position in both sports. Now being out of high school I have decided that maybe it is time to peruse a new passion. • 14. My Personal Philosophy Of Life Personal philosophy is something that plays a tremendous role in the life of every individual. Everyone have a different point of view about life, we cannot expect everyone to have the same philosophy of life. Philosophy of life will be different between each person. Two people will never have the same philosophy of life. Individuals might share some similarities between their philosophy of life but two people will never have the exactly same. I have a strong belief that people develop and shape their own personal philosophy during their whole life. Sometimes we might attempt to think that we already know our philosophy of life but there are some circumstances that can totally change our view. I also believe that our age plays a tremendous role in our philosophy of life. We cannot expect a twelve–year–old to have the same view of life as a forty years old. In terms of my own philosophy I cannot truly say that I completely know my entire personal philosophy of life but I know that now at this moment I am the one in charge of my own philosophy about life. Even though I am 23 years old I still don't have my life completely figured about. I know what I want to do and what are the goals that I would like to achieve but in terms of my own philosophy about life I believe that God is in charge; and that our story about life was already written even before we were born. I can wake up with many different types of ideas or things I would like to achieve but I know that God has the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Essay on Personal Life What would the world come to if people did not strive to help themselves? Would more be accomplished or nothing at all? When is helping oneself self–interest, and when is it rude and selfish? How far does one have to go to not be selfish? In order to be not selfish, must a person spent all their time giving to others? Is in a way giving to others even show selfishness? If that is true is it possible to end selfishness? These questions do not have straight answers, and probably never will. Yet, to understand the importance of self–interest it is important to understand my opinion of the answers to these questions. Self–interest is when people strive to help their condition, or themselves without implicating harm on others. It causes...show more content... This can easily be seen when the young athlete is suing their parents for stealing their money. This can also be seen on any of the court television shows where people who were once the best of friends are having an absolute brawl over a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Which although it is a lot of money, is not close to how priceless a good friendship is. Self–interest will always benefit a country while selfishness can only hurt it. Self–interest motivates people to work harder, and if people work harder it helps everyone around them. Selfishness is quite different from self–interest because it inflicts harm on people, while self–interest will almost always help people achieve their goals. Giving to others is an amazing thing to do. Yet, I do not feel it is something that should be automatically expected of people. I think everyone must work hard to get money, and lead the life that they want to live. With hard work comes profit. This profit that people make is used to pay off their own bills, and then buy things they want for themselves. I think that people should take care of others only after they take care of themselves. This does not mean never think of others. It just means that why should one person have to work hard to earn a living, while another person receives free hand outs. I also feel that people give to others to help themselves feel good about themselves. There are Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Literary review's provide similarities and defines differences in analysis. In my research, on the concept of The American dream through generations, I have come to understand the concepts with a feminist perspective. Part of Sociology deals with gender inequality, race, age, and class and though my research, I explored options of inequality through gender and how each factor interacts with each other. From a feminist perspective, one emphasizes women, their experiences, and their role in society while promoting equality in gender. Cultural aspects and generational stereotypes are also addressed. Not only does this perspective deal with females, but also with male roles in society, how to explain social differences between genders, and gender oppression. Other questions feminist look at are "how do men and women's values differ" and "how men and women perspectives change in Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California and later moved to Ventura, a city just south of Santa Barbara. As a result, its safe to assume that I've been and will always be a California kid. The beach was walking distance away from my home and the weather was always warm and sunny. My family also have been pivotal in instilling a happy demeanor by always inculcating my psyche with positive attitudes coupled with kind and outgoing manners to people of all colors, creeds, and nationalities. Furthermore, I wouldn't that I have a wide array of hobbies, however I more so have a set of hobbies which I focus on at an extremely high level with a large degree of proficiency. To further explain, two hobbies that I particularly enjoy are creating and playing music, as well as writing. With regards to music, I have been playing guitar for over a year now, and I can honestly say it has had one of the most profound effects upon my life imaginable. Music offers the only outlet that I can fathom which can allow to forget about the world around me. All the problems I am having, all the issues of the world that can bog me down, are eliminated because once I pick up the guitar, I'm essentially one with the instrument, all the focus of my human psyche is upon the music being played and if it's particularly good, I'll maniacally write it down to preserve it. • 18. My Reflection Of My Personal Philosophy Of Life Philosophy of Life In my short seventeen years, I have experienced a great multitude of feelings towards my own personal experiences. My own reactions to the external circumstances that the universe has thrown at me, and I do indeed mean thrown, have allowed me to grow as a young woman and simultaneously allow me the privilege of looking at life through the lenses I wear today. Because the way I perceive my life to date is how I have been able to assemble the three things I value most in it: staying foolish, hungry and in love. Remembering the importance of these have enabled me to find both success and happiness; and I know that I am doing my future self proud by continuing to remember them. I enjoy setting goals for myself and find them ten percent more attainable after the goal has been set; and when I meet that goal, I set another. It is this idea of never settling, always pushing that has allowed me to blossom into the person I am today. For instance, when I found myself in the top thirty five percent of my class, I pushed myself to get to the top fifteen percent within two years. When I set my goals for college and medical school, I do not limit myself to state schools; I push for acceptance at the large private schools, too. It has become a habit of mine "To strive, to see, to find, and not to yield" (70). Just as Lord Tennyson Alfred's Ulysses promised that he would not settle, I expect the same for myself. I refuse to settle for mediocre, and I swear to always yearn for the most out of life. I live by the idea that I must push myself the furthest every time, in order to extract any sort of meaning from my work. There is no space for easy labor in my life, but I plan to continue living a worth life living, with work worth doing. I will not subject myself to the laziness that accompanies work one does not love because "There is no more dreadful punishment than futile and hopeless labor" (146). I came to a realization that it is crucial to plan, however, most of the times things don't go as planned. Especially, career wise I believe that choosing the consulting route would be the best option for me, however things might drastically change over the next few years. However, I still believe that setting a guidelines for myself and trying to comprehend what I want to achieve and what my aims are, are crucial in helping me lay out a path for the future.
