1. Personal Essay On Life Choices
Life Choices Have you ever wondered why your choices matter so much in life? When a child is born, parents and the society make decisions for
the child, but as the child begins to learn (interact and explore the world), they start to have their own interests and opinions. Decision making when
one is young is minimal, but as the child grows into an adolescent (and later adult) they are given increased decision making choices. Life choices can
have a negative or positive impact. It's important to learn from both negative and positive to see what works and what does not work. The choices one
makes defines and shapes that specific person's life constantly.
Being that I personally am only eighteen years old, I have made some life choices on...show more content...
She was at a party one block from her house, that is off campus, at school. At parties there was always a designated driver if there was any drinking
going on. She had a couple of drinks a few hours before she decided to leave and "thought" she would be fine to drive. Turns out, she was not okay.
She had a minor collision on the way home. No other vehicle was involved and noâone was hurt, but the police were called because she ran up a curb
and hit a pole. While taking the sobriety test she passed two of the three steps, but the standing on one leg part tripped her up. Unfortunately, she
failed the sobriety test. Now everything is up in limbo while waiting for blood work to come in. There will probably be consequences of expensive
legal fees, a court hearing and then whatever punishment the court finds appropriate. Depending on all the results, she is worried how this one
mistake will affect her medical career goal. Sometimes bad life choices can have serious results that change the course you preferred to be on. Be
smart about your decisions and don't let bad choices guide you off your chosen path.
Pursuing a higher education after high school seemed like it was just a necessary step in life, almost as if it's expected of you. However, it really is a
choice and lies in the free will of the young adults to make for themselves. College, trade schools or work training programs designed for specific
career paths are all options of higher

2. My Personal Experience In My Life
For an individual to be a success, it is imperative to possess qualities beyond intellect. To flourish in your career and in life, your character must drive
you toward your aspirations. Throughout life, several experiences have molded me into a person of resilience, empathy, and composure. Such values
have allowed me to reach my goals and serve my community. In supplement to my intelligence, these assets render me an exceptional student and
employee. The ability to be resilient is at the core of who I am, and the challenges that have created this strength have taught me empathy. Because of
my weight, I faced bullying often and found liberation in sports and exercise. Eventually, I lost fifty pounds and ascended the social ladder. With...show

When my grandfather suffered from a massive heart attack, and was brain dead upon resuscitation, I started practicing composure. Once taken life
support, his heart kept beating for a week. Because my parents raised me to be strong and to put others before myself, I spent the week supporting
my grandmother and taking care of my grandfather's body. I never thought I could handle something like that, but for my grandfather, I would do
anything. That week I truly put others before myself; staying at the hospital until the early morning, then driving straight to class, and back to the
hospital again. During this time was when I knew to pick a vocation where I could be of assistance to others. Helping to care for my grandfather is
what led me to my job as a nursing assistant. This is when I began discovering my love for service and developing myself as a woman for others. At
work, there were days when I wanted to break down and cry in front patients due to the pain I felt at the inability of myself and the healthcare system
to cure their illness, but I did not cry. Instead, I would tell them that they could handle it, and they are capable of more than they realize; that I hurt
for them and that I was remorseful there is nothing further I could do. No matter how terrible my day had been, there was no other option but to walk
in that room and act like I had the best day of my life and that is composure. Lucky enough to have the

3. Reflection Of Personal Life
1. I've always learned best by relating lecture concepts to my personal life, and this class is no different. I've been challenged to see my own
development through the perspectives and theories set by psychologists before me, bringing new light to my occasionally quirky personality. The
biopsychosocial breaks down into biological â meaning brain processing and genetics, psychological â referring to personal thoughts and motives, and
social or environmental situations â the influence of others that shapes who someone may become. Life cycle forces can be attributed with the
generation of seemingly new traits as well. The biological factor that I can think most shaped my personality is the frustratingly large bridge of my
nose. My moms whole side of the family has a massive bump in the center of the bridge of their nose. From a young age, I was always incredibly
selfâconscious of the bump I had started to notice on myself. I would hide my nose in books at school, or try to cover it up with my hand because I
was so sure everyone would make fun of me. I wouldn't let anyone take pictures of me, and there were times that I would pray for the bump to go
away so I could just live a normal life. I eventually got over it because while I believe prayers can do a lot, they'll never change the bump on my
nose. A small genetic allele caused me so much stress, especially in middle school, but it also taught me to love myself and others despite their
outward appearance. In regards to

Famous professional boxer, Muhammad Ali, once said, "Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee." My lifelong ambitions revolve around this
central idea of striving and determination. By continuously encountering both positive and negative situations, I have still managed to stay
aggressive and strong. This will help me learn that each step I take now and in the future dictates the progress in my life. Society always talks
about how one can stay motivated and strive for success throughout life, but there seems to be more than that than said. Many individuals try to
reach a state of perfection, however, they are just as concerned describing their strengths as they are describing their weaknesses. These strengths
and weaknesses are defined and shaped by our everyday actions and behavior in both the academic and secular world. Aside from thinking about
education and success, I am focused on great visions that will fundamentally help me live prudently. I have faced many challenges in my personal
and academic life that have provided life learning lessons and experiences for me to learn from and bring change. These experiences and lessons
have ignited a new spark in my life that will present fresh signs of a new hope, with a deeper significance, broader experience, and more commitment.
In addition to being motivated and possessing the desire to succeed, it is imperative that we always maintain faith throughout our lives. Faith has

of us can not control. A crisis can involve a series of stressful events or one difficult point in life that effects a person's overall wellâbeing. I had a hard
time coming up with what to write as my crisis for this assignment because when I hear the word crisis, the first thing that comes to mind is that
crisis is a very severe event such as a war or natural disaster. As I read more in depth about the concept of crisis, I found that it does not have to be
something as serious as a war. It can simply be a point in life where you face a difficult situation that makes you feel under...show more content...
Although some may not consider this a crisis, it was for me. This was a crisis for me because I moved from Ghana where the culture, language, people

difficult time in my life. I felt alone and out of place because I did not have friends and when I did, I could not understand or make a conversation
with them for a long time. The phase in the crisis cycle most relatable to my experience is phase 2 â The intensification stage. In this phase, individuals
feel a loss of internal control causing frustration, fear and anger. This stage is most relevant to my experience because I felt frustrated and a loss of
internal control. What caused this crisis was me moving to Canada and not knowing the culture or English. I would not have experienced the crisis if
I knew English and Canadian culture. Due to my circumstances, there was nothing I could have done to stop the crisis from happening. The

7. Life : A Personal Essay : The Meaning Of Life
According to the "Oxford English Dictionary", 'life' is a noun that is defined as, "The condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic
matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death." (OED Online, Oxford University
Press). So, it's technically saying that life is the development and change of a living thing until it dies. Scientifically, that's correct but there's a much
deeper meaning to life than given. There are about 7 billion human beings living on this earth at this moment. Each has their own unique life and
destiny to follow. Everyone faces different challenges in life which supports the meaning of life being a unique set of experiences that lead people to
their happiest and truest selves. Us humans were put on this earth to teach and learn from one another. We learn different emotions through each other
such as: anger, compassion, jealousy, sadness, and more. We were taught these in order to teach the coming generations how to feel in different
situations in order to stay in touch with their humanity. Displaying and feeling these emotions allows us to experience life changing situations
differently than others, which makes each of our lives more unique. While some people might remember the day they were married as one of their
happiest moments and their best memory, others might look back on theirs and feel sad and angry because theirs wasn't as great as the last persons.

9. My Personal Goals Essay
As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even
fairyâtale like, we tend to see life through a roseâcolored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life
our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals,
we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the
many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.

The second family short term goal takes into account my marriage. In order to raise happy and healthy children, a happy and healthy relationship with

year we have made an agreement to take at least one vacation together, so that we may increase the bond that brought us together. We have also
decided that for the next three year we will spend Holidays as a family so that we may create our own family traditions, we will do whatever is in our
power to spend Holidays together, that includes not working or making other plans with the rest of our immediate families.
On many occasions my personal goals have come before my professional aspirations. A career in the medical field has always been something I

11. Personal Life And Life Balance
There used to be a time when the borders between professional life and personal life were fairly clear. But, in today 's world, it has become a norm
that to become successful in your career, you have to compromise your personal life. Maintaining workâlife balance is a topic which is very much
debated and discussed. Life balance involves all components of our life. For many, this includes career or paid work, child raising or elderly care,
though not always, of course. No matter our circumstances, life balance is an important function of feeling satisfied in our lives. When our life
balance is out of kilter, we might feel resentful, disappointed and burnt out, and our physical and psychological health may suffer. From my
professional experience of 8 years, I can certainly understand why this topic is one of the most important aspects in one 's career. It is always
important to draw and line between professional life and personal life. During the shortâspan in my work career, I always found it difficult to switch off
work life and personal life. It was always a jugglery. Because of the hectic and erratic schedule; rather than giving body and mind a chance to
rejuvenate, overâwork has made it less productive. And slowly we would lose interest in what are doing, because of overâdoing it. There is a very
famous saying "Stretch the elastic only till the extent the elasticity doesn 't get lost" Workâlife balance is adjusting your dayâtoâday activities to

Personal philosophy is something that plays a tremendous role in the life of every individual. Everyone have a different point of view about life, we
cannot expect everyone to have the same philosophy of life. Philosophy of life will be different between each person. Two people will never have the
same philosophy of life. Individuals might share some similarities between their philosophy of life but two people will never have the exactly same.
I have a strong belief that people develop and shape their own personal philosophy during their whole life. Sometimes we might attempt to think that
we already know our philosophy of life but there are some circumstances that can totally change our view. I also believe that our age plays a
tremendous role in our philosophy of life. We cannot expect a twelveâyearâold to have the same view of life as a forty years old. In terms of my own
philosophy I cannot truly say that I completely know my entire personal philosophy of life but I know that now at this moment I am the one in charge
of my own philosophy about life. Even though I am 23 years old I still don't have my life completely figured about. I know what I want to do and what

time giving to others? Is in a way giving to others even show selfishness? If that is true is it possible to end selfishness? These questions do not have
straight answers, and probably never will. Yet, to understand the importance of selfâinterest it is important to understand my opinion of the answers to
these questions.
Selfâinterest is when people strive to help their condition, or themselves without implicating harm on others. It causes...show more content...
This can easily be seen when the young athlete is suing their parents for stealing their money. This can also be seen on any of the court television
shows where people who were once the best of friends are having an absolute brawl over a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Which although it is
a lot of money, is not close to how priceless a good friendship is. Selfâinterest will always benefit a country while selfishness can only hurt it.
Selfâinterest motivates people to work harder, and if people work harder it helps everyone around them. Selfishness is quite different from selfâinterest
because it inflicts harm on people, while selfâinterest will almost always help people achieve their goals.
Giving to others is an amazing thing to do. Yet, I do not feel it is something that should be automatically expected of people. I think everyone must
work hard to get money, and lead the life that they want to live. With hard work comes profit. This profit that people make is used to pay off their
own bills, and then buy things they want for themselves. I think that people should take care of others only after they take care of themselves. This
does not mean never think of others. It just means that why should one person have to work hard to earn a living, while another person receives free
hand outs.
I also feel that people give to others to help themselves feel good about themselves. There are

how I have been able to assemble the three things I value most in it: staying foolish, hungry and in love. Remembering the importance of these have

to blossom into the person I am today. For instance, when I found myself in the top thirty five percent of my class, I pushed myself to get to the
