Heartless is too kind a word to describe the cruel owner who abandoned a litter of puppies at a Corsicana, Texas car wash.
When the staff arrived on this freezing cold early December morning, hearts that were warmed by the approaching holiday season turned icy as they
saw a soaking wet cardboard box moving.
When they opened the box, they were shocked to find five adorable abandoned puppies, huddling together for warmth.
The box, soaked from the urine of the puppies, also had a layer of pee soaked puppy kibble covering the bottom of the box. The cruel, uncaring person
who abandoned the puppies somehow thought throwing a handful of food into the box would keep the puppies alive long enough for people to
discover them.
When East Dallas Pet Rescue was called for help, organization founder, Jaclyn Smith sent a volunteer out to retrieve the puppies. Three of the five

Forget the fact that It is a crime of animal cruelty to abandon pets because the person who can do such a thing has no morals so I highly doubt they

Animal abuse is an issue people hardly look at. People are not being informed enough to the abuse of these animals. Not just dogs and cats are being
abused, wild–life such as zoo animals and show animals like in circuses. Animal cruelty is a problem that's rapidly growing, animals around the world
are being starved, beaten, or just left to die. There are many different types of animal cruelty, the more common ones are mistreatment, abandonment,

Rationale for selecting the issue This project was specifically chosen because animals are living creatures that don't deserve such harsh treatments.

B.The RSPCA, also known as the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, states on their animal cruelty webpage in 2017 that animal

The purpose of these punishments is not only to discipline one for committing an illegal act, but to discourage those from wanting to commit the crime

example, one who commits a murder will serve a fifteen year prison sentence while someone who litters will pay a five hundred dollar fine. Now that

counterpart. Animals not adopted within a certain period of time undergo euthanasia. This keeps room for more animals. No–kill shelters protect the
animals and help rehabilitate them. The other 24.1% is the factory animals. The purpose of a factory animal's life is a food source. So the owners
mistreat their animals because the animals purpose is to be a food source. It is almost as if they do not matter. They deserve animal rights just as
much as the other animals do. All animals are affected by animal cruelty, even if the animal does not experience the cruelty on a personal level.
Although the ones that experience the cruelty have greater issues after the abuse. Other animals like pit bulls getting a bad name by their owners
being negligent. Pit bulls can be aggressive; they do have an aggressive nature about them. This is only when they are provoked, but these dogs are not
dangerous. If the dog is taught right than the aggression is non–existent. If the owner is negligent to the animal and abuses the dog, it often brings out
the more mean side of the dog. The

Animals are sometimes treated as friends but are also treated as enemies. We keep them as pets, but if it suits us, we slaughter them in their own
habitats and in slaughterhouses. If we could kill them in a quick and pain–free way, like a special injection, which is not harmful to us, it would be a lot
nicer to the animals being killed. However, the scenes in slaughterhouses are ones of bullying and torture. The people hurt the animals in the most
horrific ways possible, for example, slitting their throats while they are still alive and dropping them from great heights to break their legs and necks and
other bones. These are just two of the many ways of slaughter that are used today.

Angling might be the only exception to this because without angling, the rivers would be over populated with fish (who have a very small memory
span anyway). It could disrupt the food chain. Hunting wild animals and reptiles is not necessary. The food chain would be just fine if we stopped wild
animal hunting, for example, fox hunting, wild cat hunting, elephant hunting, crocodile hunting and whale hunting.
We should not kill animals for fur. Thousands of years ago, our ancestors wore animal skins and furs to keep warm and dry. Today we have man
made fibres to make such garments. We can also buy man made clothes that look and feel just like real fur, if not more comfortable. There is no need
for us to kill these poor innocent creatures for status symbols. It takes many more than five lynx's to make one small fur coat. It is disgusting. How
would you like it if some bigger stronger creature than yourself killed you for your hair or your bones so they can make clothes out of your hair and
food delicacies out of your bones? It should be made illegal.
We should also stop testing cosmetics on animals like rabbits and rodents. We need to test important medicines and drugs on animals because
otherwise, the effects on us could be very harmful. I say this because new drugs for epilepsy were tested on my uncle, without his consent, and now
he is mentally ill. He cannot walk very well. He cannot read or write very well. He has to live in a home for
