Examples Of College Admissions Essay
Either you work now and play later or you play now and pay later. I choose to work now because I want to inspire my family to do the same. At an
early age, I learned that if I wanted to be successful, then I would have to fend for myself. Today, I am proud to say that I have overcome all odds by
achieving the success that I desire.
My childhood was traumatic, and I am thankful that the door to my childhood is locked, sealed, and chained. I am one of five children, and I was
raised by my mother. At the age of six, I fled with my mother and siblings to Arkansas in order to escape the abuse of my father. He was going to kill
us; however, we were able to escape before he could. Throughout my second–grade school year, we flew back and forth to Hawaii to testify against my
father. The courts convicted him and sentenced him to ten years in prison for the physical and sexual abuse that he inflicted upon my siblings and me.
As a result, my mother was left to raise us alone. Life was not much better with my mother, for she abused us both mentally and physically. The mental
abuse I suffered cut far deeper than any physical abuse ever could, so...show more content...
The first thing that I did after registering for classes was locate the TRIO Student Support Services on campus, and I enrolled in the HSU SSO
program. Because I commuted to school daily, TRIO quickly became my home away from home. Being a young mother with two children was
challenging, and I often thought of giving up because I felt overwhelmed and discouraged. My SSO family loved me, encouraged me, listened to me,
and pushed me. If I was not in class, I was in the SSO building working on my studies. By the grace of God, I graduated from HSU in May 2013 with
a B.A. in English and 7–12 Licensure. Prior to my graduation, I attended my first job interview ever, and Lake Hamilton School District hired me to
teach eighth and ninth grade

Early College Application Essay
I'm applying to UA Early College because I want to be able to step into college ahead of the game. I have been an overachiever since I was little and
take each chance I get handed to me. This program additionally prepares me for courses I will take when in college. It gives a more profound
understanding of how classes will be and the paces they will go at. The second reason I am applying is on account that this program will help me
fulfill my college major. I anticipate going into the forensic science field and getting my PhD or doctorate. That will take anywhere between four to
seven years, depending on the college. Seven years is quite a while to be in college and I want to be able to start work sooner rather than later. Early

My parents migrated from the Dominican Republic in order to achieve the 'American Dream', the national ethos, the ideal that every US citizen should
have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative. However, my mother comes home from
work exhausted, with her hands peeling from harsh chemicals and soaps, propagandizing the importance of a college degree to me while she slips off
the shoes that she put on at four in the morning. My mother tried to complete an associate degree after my birth, but the series of tribulations associated
with raising two children, maintaining a part–time job, and trying to get a college degree was too much to bear and she did not complete her education.

Understanding the complexity of the life and living organisms makes us gain a certain appreciation and admiration for all of these systems that
make us who we are. In order to continue my biological studies, a college education is imperative. A fundamental understanding of biology is
crucial in studying dermatology. My main aspiration is to study dermatology as I've witnessed firsthand how impurities in the skin can dictate one's
confidence. My best friend, Cody suffered from severe eczema and acne all over his face, neck, back, and arms. This hindered him from talking in
front of large groups, taking photos, or yearning for attention. His personality was usually reserved and insecure. He placed all of his hope in a
dermatologist who could potentially clear his skin. After his imperfections were cleared with a series of creams and medication, his personality
became more bubbly and he radiated with self–confidence and happiness. Witnessing this, my prior interest in skin care, and my fascination with
biology are all incorporated in my decision with wanting to be a dermatologist. A college degree is of vital importance when studying biology to be a

Introduction and company background
We are thankful and excited for this opportunity to present our proposal to implement our secure admission technology for future college students.
Future Canada Inc. is a new company that provides an online platform and field office to assist students in their graduate admission process. Mr.
Chacko founded Future Canada Inc. extensive list of credentials includes: certified project manager planner, master's degree in engineering, career
experience at Fortune 500 companies and Associate Professor of Computer Science. This experience makes Future Canada Inc. a place where students
are at the core of our operations, which in turn enhance their student experience.
Issues with manual admission process
When students select a college, they have already spend huge amounts of time in the search, selection, and recruitment process. Once students are ready
to complete the enrollment process they expect a flawless process. Unfortunately, barriers such as lack of knowledge, time constraints, language
barriers and time zone difference compound an already stressful experience.
There is no centralized graduate application process in Canada, universities function autonomously therefore, and each has its own admission
requirements. Usually to apply for graduate study in Canada, students need to complete an application, submit...show more content...
From ensuring you have the right records and documents to complete the admission process, our services are designed to respond to any concerns
students may have. Our dual admission platform reduces the entire time consuming process. Enrollment statistics tends to favor higher enrollments
when students receive acceptance notifications sooner. The costs of administrative inefficiency are too great and may sabotage the potential of a future

I am writing to express my interest in the biology teaching position at Bard High School Early College (BHSEC). I am currently holding a New York
City initial certification in adolescent biology education as well as a Master degree in Biology. I have experience teaching at a high school as well as a

As an educator, I am a strong advocate for hands on learning. I envision my classroom with students actively learning by manipulating objects,

leading expert in microalgae biotechnology. Our research focuses on photosynthesis, secondary carotenoid biosynthesis, and biofuels production of
various microalgae. These experiences remind me of the reason why I have a great appreciation and love for science. And that is precisely what my
ideal biology class would look like; a place where concept are learned through research. From preforming experiments and critiquing the scientific work
of others to attending seminars, students should experience it all.
My passion for teaching and love for science is rooted in my desire to do something meaningful. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest

Financial Aid Application Essay Sample
I am filling out the Federal Financial Aid Suspension Appeal in regards to personal reasons I endured during the Fall of 2006 and the Spring of
2010 semesters. In 2006, I regret to say that I was not fully prepared to take on the responsibility of going to school full time. I did not have the
proper resources to be successful. During the fall of 2006, I lacked a reliable vehicle and was unable to get transportation to and from school. This
greatly affected my ambition to further my education and drove me to concentrate on working full time and taking care of my financial obligations. I
soon found myself with a great job at Cessna and began the procedure in purchasing a home. I decided during this time that it would be ideal to go
back to school and achieve my Associates degree in Accounting. I returned to Butler CommunityCollege in the summer of 2009 and took successful
steps in achieving my goals. From the Summer of 2009 until the Spring of...show more content...

academic history you would see that even through challenging circumstances that have halted my education, I always tried my hardest and I still

what I started in 2006. This time around I have more real life experience that prepares me for those challenging situations that can come around the
corner. I have learned how to push forward instead of back out. I have learned to strive towards the future instead of stress about the present. I would
be very appreciative and grateful if you would lift the suspension from my financial aid and allow me the help I need to continue my education at your

Sample Of Admission Essay For High School
My whole life I have been invested in doing what I love, focusing on my true passions, as well as finding new ones. I have been very involved in
my high school, and have been lucky enough to be a part of multiple clubs and activities. Without these activities, my high school experience and life
would be a lot different. I have been an active drama club member, a part of 'Bottlecappers,' a club advocating anti–drug, alcohol, and bullying to
younger students in my district, and many other community service opportunities. I am lucky to have the opportunity to be in these activities, as they
have shaped me to be the young adult I am today.
Before I even entered high school, I obtained a love of theater and the performing arts. I have been singing and acting since I was nine, as well as on
and off dancing since three. Taking classes at a local theater really introduced me to this interest of mine. When I entered highschool, an injury kept me
from doing shows. But now I graduate with nine high school shows under my belt, as well as being in multiple community theater productions. Being
a part of these shows made me feel a strong sense of belonging, and whether I was an ensemble or lead...show more content...

could encounter. The feeling that those students may look up to us is very meaningful, and I feel it is a unique experience. I am lucky to have the
chance to save a student's life through this club. Another community activity I enjoy doing is related to performing, but at senior citizen homes. Some
of my friends and I often just like to get together with some music and go sing for them. This is a rewarding experience, as seeing the senior citizens
smile, and making their day better, is truly a heartwarming experience every time I have the chance to perform for

It's absolutely electrifying to be on that field during your senior year when you know this is your last chance to make things happen. Everyone
knows their job once the game starts. If everyone that is on that field does there job and sticks to their responsibilities we would be fine. If the
team plays with their heart even when things go bad and not point fingers but instead work as a team and don't give up you will succeed. Second
quarter comes around everyone on the team is working hard. Then a play gets blown up and there's an interception how does the team react. Instead
of giving up we stop there offensive roll at the one yard line. This is when things are most serious and there is no room for error. This is all
happening during a very important game against IHC the stakes couldn't be higher Ihc isn't in our league. Last year we beat the so why couldn't we

Appropriate College Application Process
We are all aware about the amount of stress that high school seniors go through due to the unpleasant college application process and being able to
make effective post secondary decisions. This stress can lead to many downfalls like eating disorders, health issues, headaches, and even suicide.
Research shows that the final year of high school is the most stressful due to the difficult college application process and at the same time being able to
make post–secondary plans and decisions. Another stressful aspect that all seniors must go through is being able to make financial decisions.
Students are apprehensive about the loan process and being in debt their whole lives. This leads to a lot of tension and stress. Having a counseling
group like the one I will discuss in this paper will help to decrease seniors' stress levels and to provide support to students with the aforementioned
stress, fear, and indecisions. This paper will cover the following topics: rationale of forming a stress management group, research that shows that first

techniques for use in college. Having this group will help seniors to take a break, calm down, and of course learn coping strategies to deal with
stress in college. College is scary and daunting; these seniors must be prepared and ready to face stressful situations in college. This group will be
extremely effective for these seniors because it will help them to 1)learn how to manage stress 2) be able to self –express 3) learn coping techniques

Examples Of College Admissions Essay

  • 1. Examples Of College Admissions Essay Either you work now and play later or you play now and pay later. I choose to work now because I want to inspire my family to do the same. At an early age, I learned that if I wanted to be successful, then I would have to fend for myself. Today, I am proud to say that I have overcome all odds by achieving the success that I desire. My childhood was traumatic, and I am thankful that the door to my childhood is locked, sealed, and chained. I am one of five children, and I was raised by my mother. At the age of six, I fled with my mother and siblings to Arkansas in order to escape the abuse of my father. He was going to kill us; however, we were able to escape before he could. Throughout my second–grade school year, we flew back and forth to Hawaii to testify against my father. The courts convicted him and sentenced him to ten years in prison for the physical and sexual abuse that he inflicted upon my siblings and me. As a result, my mother was left to raise us alone. Life was not much better with my mother, for she abused us both mentally and physically. The mental abuse I suffered cut far deeper than any physical abuse ever could, so...show more content... The first thing that I did after registering for classes was locate the TRIO Student Support Services on campus, and I enrolled in the HSU SSO program. Because I commuted to school daily, TRIO quickly became my home away from home. Being a young mother with two children was challenging, and I often thought of giving up because I felt overwhelmed and discouraged. My SSO family loved me, encouraged me, listened to me, and pushed me. If I was not in class, I was in the SSO building working on my studies. By the grace of God, I graduated from HSU in May 2013 with a B.A. in English and 7–12 Licensure. Prior to my graduation, I attended my first job interview ever, and Lake Hamilton School District hired me to teach eighth and ninth grade Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Early College Application Essay I'm applying to UA Early College because I want to be able to step into college ahead of the game. I have been an overachiever since I was little and take each chance I get handed to me. This program additionally prepares me for courses I will take when in college. It gives a more profound understanding of how classes will be and the paces they will go at. The second reason I am applying is on account that this program will help me fulfill my college major. I anticipate going into the forensic science field and getting my PhD or doctorate. That will take anywhere between four to seven years, depending on the college. Seven years is quite a while to be in college and I want to be able to start work sooner rather than later. Early College Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. College Application Essay My parents migrated from the Dominican Republic in order to achieve the 'American Dream', the national ethos, the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative. However, my mother comes home from work exhausted, with her hands peeling from harsh chemicals and soaps, propagandizing the importance of a college degree to me while she slips off the shoes that she put on at four in the morning. My mother tried to complete an associate degree after my birth, but the series of tribulations associated with raising two children, maintaining a part–time job, and trying to get a college degree was too much to bear and she did not complete her education. ...show more content... Understanding the complexity of the life and living organisms makes us gain a certain appreciation and admiration for all of these systems that make us who we are. In order to continue my biological studies, a college education is imperative. A fundamental understanding of biology is crucial in studying dermatology. My main aspiration is to study dermatology as I've witnessed firsthand how impurities in the skin can dictate one's confidence. My best friend, Cody suffered from severe eczema and acne all over his face, neck, back, and arms. This hindered him from talking in front of large groups, taking photos, or yearning for attention. His personality was usually reserved and insecure. He placed all of his hope in a dermatologist who could potentially clear his skin. After his imperfections were cleared with a series of creams and medication, his personality became more bubbly and he radiated with self–confidence and happiness. Witnessing this, my prior interest in skin care, and my fascination with biology are all incorporated in my decision with wanting to be a dermatologist. A college degree is of vital importance when studying biology to be a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Sample For College Admission Essay Introduction and company background We are thankful and excited for this opportunity to present our proposal to implement our secure admission technology for future college students. Future Canada Inc. is a new company that provides an online platform and field office to assist students in their graduate admission process. Mr. Chacko founded Future Canada Inc. extensive list of credentials includes: certified project manager planner, master's degree in engineering, career experience at Fortune 500 companies and Associate Professor of Computer Science. This experience makes Future Canada Inc. a place where students are at the core of our operations, which in turn enhance their student experience. Issues with manual admission process When students select a college, they have already spend huge amounts of time in the search, selection, and recruitment process. Once students are ready to complete the enrollment process they expect a flawless process. Unfortunately, barriers such as lack of knowledge, time constraints, language barriers and time zone difference compound an already stressful experience. There is no centralized graduate application process in Canada, universities function autonomously therefore, and each has its own admission requirements. Usually to apply for graduate study in Canada, students need to complete an application, submit...show more content... From ensuring you have the right records and documents to complete the admission process, our services are designed to respond to any concerns students may have. Our dual admission platform reduces the entire time consuming process. Enrollment statistics tends to favor higher enrollments when students receive acceptance notifications sooner. • 6. Early College Application Essay Sample I am writing to express my interest in the biology teaching position at Bard High School Early College (BHSEC). I am currently holding a New York City initial certification in adolescent biology education as well as a Master degree in Biology. I have experience teaching at a high school as well as a college level. I believe that my experience and qualification is a great fit for this position. As an educator, I am a strong advocate for hands on learning. I envision my classroom with students actively learning by manipulating objects, preforming experiments, creating, presenting, teaching one another, and most importantly connecting what they learned to the real world. This type of instruction reaches students with different learning styles...show more content... In addition to completing my undergraduate and graduate education, I was participating in cellular and molecular research conducted by Professors at CUNY–Brooklyn College. I have worked with Graduate Deputy of Biology Department studying gene(s) that are involved in the fusion process of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, a single celled green algae. Currently, I have the pleasure to work as a research assistant with Dr. Juergen Polle, a leading expert in microalgae biotechnology. Our research focuses on photosynthesis, secondary carotenoid biosynthesis, and biofuels production of various microalgae. These experiences remind me of the reason why I have a great appreciation and love for science. And that is precisely what my ideal biology class would look like; a place where concept are learned through research. From preforming experiments and critiquing the scientific work of others to attending seminars, students should experience it all. My passion for teaching and love for science is rooted in my desire to do something meaningful. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience to further discuss my qualifications as a high school biology teacher in your school. • 7. Financial Aid Application Essay Sample I am filling out the Federal Financial Aid Suspension Appeal in regards to personal reasons I endured during the Fall of 2006 and the Spring of 2010 semesters. In 2006, I regret to say that I was not fully prepared to take on the responsibility of going to school full time. I did not have the proper resources to be successful. During the fall of 2006, I lacked a reliable vehicle and was unable to get transportation to and from school. This greatly affected my ambition to further my education and drove me to concentrate on working full time and taking care of my financial obligations. I soon found myself with a great job at Cessna and began the procedure in purchasing a home. I decided during this time that it would be ideal to go back to school and achieve my Associates degree in Accounting. I returned to Butler CommunityCollege in the summer of 2009 and took successful steps in achieving my goals. From the Summer of 2009 until the Spring of...show more content... I also have a job that is flexible and supportive of my decision to return to school and finish my Accounting degree. If you were to look at my academic history you would see that even through challenging circumstances that have halted my education, I always tried my hardest and I still have an overall GPA of 3.0. In those two semesters, I failed to live up to my potential. Instead of giving up, I would like the opportunity to finish what I started in 2006. This time around I have more real life experience that prepares me for those challenging situations that can come around the corner. I have learned how to push forward instead of back out. I have learned to strive towards the future instead of stress about the present. I would be very appreciative and grateful if you would lift the suspension from my financial aid and allow me the help I need to continue my education at your Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Sample Of Admission Essay For High School My whole life I have been invested in doing what I love, focusing on my true passions, as well as finding new ones. I have been very involved in my high school, and have been lucky enough to be a part of multiple clubs and activities. Without these activities, my high school experience and life would be a lot different. I have been an active drama club member, a part of 'Bottlecappers,' a club advocating anti–drug, alcohol, and bullying to younger students in my district, and many other community service opportunities. I am lucky to have the opportunity to be in these activities, as they have shaped me to be the young adult I am today. Before I even entered high school, I obtained a love of theater and the performing arts. I have been singing and acting since I was nine, as well as on and off dancing since three. Taking classes at a local theater really introduced me to this interest of mine. When I entered highschool, an injury kept me from doing shows. But now I graduate with nine high school shows under my belt, as well as being in multiple community theater productions. Being a part of these shows made me feel a strong sense of belonging, and whether I was an ensemble or lead...show more content... As I had mentioned earlier, I am part of an anti–drugs and alcohol club. I am extended the opportunity to speak to young students about the risks they could encounter. The feeling that those students may look up to us is very meaningful, and I feel it is a unique experience. I am lucky to have the chance to save a student's life through this club. Another community activity I enjoy doing is related to performing, but at senior citizen homes. Some of my friends and I often just like to get together with some music and go sing for them. This is a rewarding experience, as seeing the senior citizens smile, and making their day better, is truly a heartwarming experience every time I have the chance to perform for Get more content on HelpWriting.net

College Admissions Essay Samples Kaleb BroutyEnglish 12, Period 8 College Admissions EssayClements Prompt: Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story. Have you ever wonder what it's like to play football for your homeschool under the lights on friday night? The weeks practice was strong and coaches thought we were more prepared than ever. Once coach coffman comes in to talk to us we all know it's time to be serious. There's something about the bark of coaches voice that gets everyone focused and ready to play a serious game of football. We absolutely know it's time to work and buckle down as soon as we have to play the game. It's absolutely electrifying to be on that field during your senior year when you know this is your last chance to make things happen. Everyone knows their job once the game starts. If everyone that is on that field does there job and sticks to their responsibilities we would be fine. If the team plays with their heart even when things go bad and not point fingers but instead work as a team and don't give up you will succeed. Second quarter comes around everyone on the team is working hard. Then a play gets blown up and there's an interception how does the team react. Instead of giving up we stop there offensive roll at the one yard line. This is when things are most serious and there is no room for error. ORU placed emphasis on developing one's spiritually, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. In fact, I have personally experienced years of growth at ORU despite my physical impairment. • 11. Appropriate College Application Process We are all aware about the amount of stress that high school seniors go through due to the unpleasant college application process and being able to make effective post secondary decisions. This stress can lead to many downfalls like eating disorders, health issues, headaches, and even suicide. Research shows that the final year of high school is the most stressful due to the difficult college application process and at the same time being able to make post–secondary plans and decisions. Another stressful aspect that all seniors must go through is being able to make financial decisions. Students are apprehensive about the loan process and being in debt their whole lives. This leads to a lot of tension and stress. Having a counseling group like the one I will discuss in this paper will help to decrease seniors' stress levels and to provide support to students with the aforementioned stress, fear, and indecisions. Since then I did my undergraduate degree at Summit Pacific College, close to where I live so that I could help my family build our new house, while preparing to impact my world for Christ. At Summit, I earned a BA in Religion, with a major in Biblical Theology. In this major I took exegetical coursework, first year Hebrew and Greek, and was prepared for Graduate studies with a thesis course. Through my passions and experiences with people, as well as study, I am convinced that God has given me the desire and gifts to serve Him through discipling others. Ideally, I plan to work with young adults as they commonly need, and want, answers to questions of identity, truth, apologetics, and relationships, with Jesus and others. These are all things I am passionate about. • 15. National Honor Society Application Essay Examples Technology has always been my passion and one could even find me deconstructing and attempting to reconstruct various household technologies as a young kid. However it was hard to continue this passion in school due to the fact that my school greatly lacks in the technology classes such as engineering, computer science, or leadership. So to learn many of these skills, I either taught myself or learned through extracurricular activities. One of these extracurricular activities was First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics competition, where my team, an all–girls Girl Scout team, and I designed, coded, and built a robot to compete and alliance with other robots to score the greatest amount of points. I taught myself the skills of CAD with PTC Cero, 3D printing with Cubify, Sketchup and Makerbot software, worked with the new Android SDK, and all of the nuances of RobotC, our old language, to help my team reach our goal of competing at Worlds. I am also member of Girl Scouts. In Girl Scouts, we helped our community and found our own voices in the world around us through leadership. Last year, I completed my Gold Award on informing the teens of my community the benefits of healthy living through...show more content... • 16. Summer Program Application Essay The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become ...show more content... I have always loved looking and participating in art classes, although I am not the best artist, and I enjoy learning about the history behind different art techniques. But I think that international relations would be something that is absolutely amazing to learn about because through this I could learn about the connections and effects that occur between so many different nations, and learn about how they interact with one another. I feel like I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards others. I am very adaptive to my surroundings even if that means changing topics within a classroom discussion. Something else about me is that I am what is known as an ambivert. This means that I sit in the scale between being and introvert and an extrovert. Although iI do tend to sway more towards the introverted side, but only for the reason that I can get lost in my own thoughts or go for hours without taking a break from a book that I am Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. College Admissions Essay: To Be A Good Student There have been abundant amount of times where I have been called fabricated, mean, goodie goodie, teacher's pet, or stupid. While some of these might be true, they certainly aren't all true. I do consider myself to be a good student and I try to get all of my work done and never get in trouble, but I have forgotten to turn work in, or just forgot to do it in general. When I think of a goodie goodie, I think of someone who gets all their work done, gets 100% constantly, never gets in trouble, and pays attention in class. I don't consider myself to be a teacher's pet either. I do like to do what the teacher asks but I consider that to be a good, responsible, cooperative student, not a teacher's pet. I don't consider myself to be fabricated, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
