1. In this presentation we’d like to show you
how we, Ukrainian teens, spend our free
time.
Enjoy!
2. Hello everybody!
I am going to tell you about an unusual place where you can hang out with
your friends. It is a cafe called Besednitsa. You can just come there, pay
about two dollars per an hour and drink as much coffee and tea as you can.
Also there are many games like chess and a lot of books. I come there
really often just to sit in a silence and talk a bit to my friends. Then, there
are delicious cookies and cakes and you can eat unlimited number of them.
The most popular room there is soft room, because all furniture there is
soft and it desposes to relax.
I think you are interested in visiting this place.
4. Hello everybody!
I'd like to talk about some places in my city,
where I'd like to hang out.
First of all the nearest place is Youth's park.
Next one is Kioto park. (it's near the subway
station "Druzhby narodiv").
5. The most stunning place I've ever see in Kyiv
is "Kyiv in miniature". You should go there if
you're in the capital of Ukraine!
6. If you are tired of parks, you can also go to the
riverfront. It's very nice to go straight the
paving and look on the Dnipro.
7. These are my places to hang out with friends.
May be you wanted to go to the cinema or
other place like that, but beauty of the
nature will never disappointed you.
8. As for me, our city is generally very beautiful.
Parks,museums, theatres, cafes are
everywhere. But I think that one of the most
magic places is our churches and cathedrals.
Here you can feel a spirit of our Ukrainian
history. High-minded interior of this place
will help you to find something special in
your sole. In this cathedral you can hear your
own silence.
9. One of the most beautiful is St Sophia Cathedral.
St Sophia, a Greek-cross church, is one of the
major edifices representing the culture of
Eastern Christianity in the 11th century, inspired
by Byzantine models. Designed to rival Hagia
Sophia in Constantinople, Kiev's Saint-Sophia
Cathedral symbolizes the 'new Constantinople',
capital of the Christian principality of Kiev.
Today, it is one of the city's best known
landmarks and the first Ukrainian patrimony to
be inscribed on the World Heritage List.
10. I like to spend my free time with friends.
But lately my free cases added another. It
seems the whole world is aware of the
revolutionary events in Kiev and the
Maydan. Me an my friends went there every
week, regardless of my age. I will never
forget this time. This time is very
important for our country.
