equipmentandtosee if the locationfittedour
genre.
As the locationtowhere we were filmingwas
situatednearKiera,we feltitwasbestthat
she wentwithouractors as we hadpreviously
agreedeverythinginadvance,due toher
knowingthe areawell.

Today,we experimentedwith Gif shots
(movingimages),these imageswere displayed
on a projectorwithouractors placedinfront
whilststandingonstaging.We experimented
nature movinggiftsandrealisedthese weren’t
appropriate sothenstartedto putdifferent
colourschemesonthe projectorwhichwas
highlysuccessful as aresult.

An issue todaywasgettingthe
rightheightforthe stagingin
orderto get an accurate close
up shotas a result.Thiswas
successful toa certaindegree
althoughwe hadto playabout
gettingthe stagingto the right
heightforseveral minutes
whichwastedvaluable filming
time.
We resolvedthe issueby
filminginaclassroomwhich
has a lowprojectorwhich
meansthat our artistscan just
standunderit. Thiswasmore
appropriate asthere wasn’t
any hazardsnowinvolvedat
all,as previouslyone of our
actors couldhave fallenoff.
The lowprojectorenabledus
to getbetterclose upshots of
our actors and made ita
worthwhile dayfilming.

Today,we wentback to ThorndonCounty
Park to sharpena fewshotstakenlastweek
due to the lightingtobeingverygood.Asa
resultwe resolvedthisissue we experienced
lastweekbythistime filminginthe morning
as it wasa brightclearday.
Today,we focus ourfilmingonouractors and
filmedmultiple shotsof the same scene in
orderto make sure that we had good quality
shotsof extreme close upandlongshots,due
to previouslythe qualityof filmingnotbeing
as clearcut as we’dwished.
Again,as the locationtowhere we were
filmingwassituatednearKiera,we feltitwas
bestthat she wentwithouractors as she had
previouslybeenwiththemandknewwhat
neededfilmingnext.

The onlyissue we experienced
todaywere joggersgettingin
some of our shotsby accident.
Throughout,ourfilmingtoday
we were cautiousof this
potential riskthroughout,
althoughitisstill inevitable at
timesespeciallywhilsttakinga
shotlastingforseveral
seconds.Although,thiswasn’t
a huge issue itmade filming
certainshotsa little bitmore
difficultaswe hadto re film
several timesasa result.
We resolvedthisslightissue
by filminginlocationswhich
were quiet(withnojoggers
about) Thismade such a
difference toourfilmingas
our footage became of a much
higherqualityaswe couldre-
take a particularshotas many
timesaswe wantedwhilst
knowingthatno one would
jogpast.

Monday 28th

Beach –

Today,we decidedtofilmatSouthendBeach
inorder to geta varietyof sceneryintoour
musicvideo.We filmednature shotsof the
beach.We alsocapturedsome gooddigipak
pictureswhichwe coulduse for
inspiration/final images.We continuedfilming
our artistsina numberof waysthistime with
trackingshots.
All of our groupmemberswere planningto
attendtoday’sfilminginordertofurther
supporteach otherbutunfortunatelydue to
trainstrikestwoof ourgroup couldn’tattend
as we wouldn’thave made our9AM start in
time due to replacementbusestakingplace.

actors sinkingintosand.Asa
resultwe have to take a few
shotsmultiple timesinorder
to getthe mostaccurate clear
cut shot.We alsohad to make
sure that none of our
equipmentgotsandyasa
resultof filmingatthe beach
as well.
We resolvedthisissue be
takingthese shotsfirstasthe
lightingwouldhave been
more appropriate (highkey) as
it wasearlyinthe morning.
We overcame thisissue by
alsonot gettinganyof our
equipmentsandyaswe knew
that itwas likelytoalsosink
intothe sand like ouractors.
