1. Costume and Props report
Tom’s costume:
Tom will be wearing a black sweatshirt.
He will wear this in all the scenes that
he is seen in throughout this short film.
This jumper is a very casual jumper
which suits the film as he is in a normal
day of sixth form. He will also be
wearing blue denim jeans which also
are very casual and suit the role as
these are common to wear at sixth
form. He will have black trainers on
with this all which further suit his role
as a young adult. This costume will
helps the target audience relate to
Tom as the target audience is mainly young people
who will relate to what he is wearing and set the scene
of a normal 17 year old.

2. David’s Costume:
Costume 1
This is what David will be wearing in the
scene where he is outside school and sees
Tom. This suits his role as it is a hoodie and
some tracksuit bottoms. This will make the
audience think that he may be a
potentially bad character which is good
because he is playing the antagonist
character. The fact that he is in tracksuit
bottoms and Tom is in jeans it suggests that
maybe David is more intimidating than Tom
due to stereotypes about tracksuit bottoms.

3. Costume 2
This will be the second costume that David
will have to wear for the short film. This
will be after Tom gets lost in the forest and
David goes and kills him. This outfit fits in
with the scene well as an all-black outfit
has negative connotations and would
intimidate Tom when he sees David
dressed like this. The balaclava helps suit
the character role as he is hiding his
identity from the people who see him
which shows he has bad intentions.

4. Props:
This book and pencil case will be
used in the start of the film when
Tom is in school as he is using these
to learn and do some school work.
The iPhone will be used throughout
the film as Tom is always on his and a
different one will be used when Tom
throws David’s phone on the floor. The
headphones will be used by Tom in a couple of scenes
as he likes to listen to music.
The Swiss army knife will be used by
David in the final few scenes when
he threatens Tom and eventually
ends up killing him with the blade of
the knife.
