My key responsibilities were to manage and develop the internal sales and commercial team,
ensuring they achieved both team and individual objectives. To ensure the function was effective &
efficient by balancing price, mix, capacity and cost, whilst analysing workmix and order patterns, to
maximise throughput contribution. I was the primary contact for both internal and external customers,
making sure every customer enquiry was dealt with efficiently and to their satisfaction. I very quickly
developed strong working relationships both internally and externally. My responsibilities included
managing specific stockholding arrangements & systems whilst supporting both manufacturing &
logistics teams.
Key Accountabilities:-
Lead the Customer Service department.
To Introduce and maintain measurement and control systems for the sales and
commercial process.
Monitor loading capacity in conjunction with production scheduler to ensure volumes
were moved to balance production and delivery requirements.
Control the sales admin aspect of the complaints system.
Maintain customer pricing systems in line with actual and standard costs.
Set & Control pricing strategy and influence plant efficiency & utilisation.
Proactively seek out and implement improvements to methods, sytems and
procedures.
Carry out team appraisals, development and implement potential training
requirements.
Innovation,continuous improvement and customer focus.
I Recently obtained my Alcumus Certificate of QMS Internal Auditing. – October 2016, whilst earlier
in the year I passed my Nebosh – Health & Safety general certificate – Credit – August 2016.
My experience includes, but is not limited to, Customer Service, Production Planning & Scheduling,
Transport & Logistics planning, order administration, product movement with warehousing & stocking
schemes, stock management schemes, internal QA systems, a sound knowledge of Microsoft
packages including excel formula creation & use, pivot tables and access database linking.
I recently managed a team of 3 people. Included in my responsibilities for this team were monthly
Health & Safety conversations and reporting, absenteeism & return to work procedures, time keeping,
rotas and holiday requests, annual and mid-term appraisals. I am a passionate and motivated worker
with effective and accurate written and verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail,
complimented by my polite and professional approach to both work and my colleagues.
2. In January 2015 I took up running and in August completed my first ever 10k run in York. This
year I completed my first half marathon, I also enjoy swimming in my free time.

Senior Steel Scheduler
Tata Steel (2013 – March 2016 )
Planning and coordinating steel make schedules based on stock replenishment and order intake
requirements for the Scunthorpe, Dalzell and Clydebridge rolling mills. Through data analysis, I
calculate and construct weekly production schedules for the mills to execute and ensure customer
order fulfilment, whilst optimising internal process schedules. Provision of daily and weekly logistics
transport plans for slab movements to both the onsite mill and offsite mills in Scotland via rail and
road.
Supply Chain Area Manager
Tata Steel (2011 – 2013)
To oversee the prioritisation co-ordinators, ensuring available resource was focused on the correct
priorities to achieve the highest possible levels of customer service. Liaise with both internal and
external customers. To ensure stocks of processed, finished and despatched un-invoiced material was
managed to optimum levels. Calculate and issue weekly reports for mill Delivery On Time In Full
(DOTIF). Create and present slide shows and cockpit reports for monthly review meetings for the
mill manager. Conduct customer visits, mill tours and safety inductions. Chair weekly commercial
meetings. Update and maintain a designated area as part of a bi-monthly safety audit. Control of
import/export documentation.
Prioritisation Co-Ordinator
Tata Steel (2010 – 2011)
To co-ordinate the cutting and supply of slab from the semi finished products area to the plate mill
slab receiving bay. To provide mill rolling schedules and prioritise plate manufacture through the
finishing end processes, ready for despatch to both U.K. and overseas customers. Schedule the
processing end of the mill, to maximise customer satisfaction and maintain stock control through a
24 hour daily forward plan. Liaise with customer services and commercial management teams to
ensure customer requirements were understood and met. Meet daily with commercial, logistics and
manufacturing teams in order to identify and implement production amendments to the daily schedule
and confirm resources were in place to meet requirements. Ensure adequate outbound logistics
resource was in place to support current daily and weekly order load.
