1. FILM IDEA & OPENING
SEQUENCE IDEA
Elliot & Zara
2. WHAT IT IS ABOUT
The premise of our film will be based around a briefcase which holds
dangerous information worth $50,000 which could overthrow the government,
in-which 4 organisations are after. 1 organisation being good (protagonist)
where they try to protect the briefcase from 3 other organisations which are
criminals. (antagonists). The film will include a twist where one of the specific
members of a criminal organisation was previously good and worked with the
protagonist. There will be a large amount of movement in the film, where the
characters will have to travel from city to city, going after the briefcase.
3. OPENING SEQUENCE
For the opening sequence of our Thriller film we have thought that we’d begin
our film with a member of the antagonist organisation on the phone, in which
he/she is requested to visit the organisation building during late hours. once
they arrive, the chief of the organisation has given them a job to get the
briefcase and it’s ability of how it can overthrow the government.
4. OVERALL
For the overall film, we thought that at the beginning of our thriller film the
protagonist will be requested by their organisation to pickup the suitcase, the
protagonist travels over a few cities to then come across the 3 opposing
antagonist organisations. In the middle of the film all of the organisations will
fight each other, fights spread across Europe (England – Germany). In the end
of the film all of the agents fight each other to have the final 2 members
standing (protagonist & a criminal organisation agent), although, we’ll
introduce a twist where a friend of the protagonist was working with the
criminal organisations (person on the phone in the beginning of opening
sequence). Showdown occurs, the protagonist kills his friend and gets the
briefcase, saving the government.
5. CHARACTER AND AUDIENCE
ANALYSIS
• The detailed plot was considered from our research which suggested that
people were interested in unique stories, this went hand-in hand with the
research regarding the expression of character development, which
allowed us to expand our idea. Considering our research, we decided to
have a male protagonist but also have a large variety of female actors
which we’ll have play the majority of criminal organisation antagonist
agents. Our film idea will also references to psychological genre which is
liked by our target audience (teenage age-group, 16-21).
