The problem-
You are the Product Manager for Google Meet for Education. You need to improve the core User Experience of education customers. For G-Suite for Education users, you have to:
1. Suggest feature improvements to Google Meet (Optional: Using wireframes)
2. Ideate a controlled testing strategy to incorporate user feedback about the new
features
3. Identify key metrics to track at full-scale rollout
The solution-
We enhanced the utility of G-Meet by introducing features like-
1. Taking Notes Made Easy
2. Introducing a Time Counter
3. Tile Interface
4. Attendance keeper
5. Gestures & Teaching Utilities
6. Take a break
We also introduced important sections like User Feedback Strategy and Market Roll Out and Testing

Google Meet has an option to turn on the Captions, when turned on these show
subtitle on the screen as the speaker talks. They can be a great way to take notes.
Our big feature enhancement here is adding import function to the captions. A
student can turn on the captions and record everything that their professor says,
these captions can then be imported to google docs in form of text. This will be
useful to students and they will get ready made notes after every class, just go
through these for a quick revision.

Better Revisions
Due to the pandemic everyone is limited to the online mode of presentations,
from case study competitions to classroom. These formal presentations come with
a time limit. It becomes difficult to keep a track of time, some people overshoot
time. The feature improvement here is to add a stop watch which will be a simple
but effective solution to time keeping, an external stopwatch won’t be required to
time things.
An attendance tracker which will directly keep a track of joining time and exit
time via respective email ID connected via google classroom. This attendance will
be updated directly to google classroom for seamless integration
Body language is a vital part of communication, in the online realm it is already a
handicap to evaluate the speakers on this aspect. When someone is presenting in
Gmeet, videos are unavailable in the panel this is a handicap. The big idea here is
to introduce a tile interface which will serve the purpose in a tile interface video of
participants can still be viewed while someone is presenting. Also this innovative
method to show everyone as a part of the class will give true classroom experience
Take a break
Online classes can be hectic, viewing the screen straight for long hours can have
adverse effects on health and proper functioning of mind. The big Idea here is to
introduce a Break option. This option will enable the teacher to give official breaks
to the students.
Gestures & Teaching Utilities
Online classes can lack engagement as one is not clear when to interject or when to
ask a doubt. The big idea here is to introduce induvial controls to raise hand, ask a
doubt on the student’s side and options like polls, on the teacher’s side to evaluate
the understanding level of students. This will also house a white board where
teachers can directly write/draw without using any other external medium.

• Online Student Community
Google meet is being developed to enhance the experience of the students while
studying therefore, it will be better if a student community can be made for beta
testing. The best way to start a student community is by asking the students to scan
his student ID card and then he will be able to access all the features of the app that
are still in beta phase.
• Easy Live Chat Support
If a student finds a bug in the app, he can visit the chat support option, where in he
will have to explain the bug with the screenshot, or the video of the bug. The IT
team will be notified about the bug.
• Offer Incentives
The IT team will look into the bug and will fix it as soon as possible . The student
will be awarded some goodies by Google and new update will be rolled out.
