4. About the Novel
Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus is a
nineteenth century Gothic novel written by Mary
Shelley. It is also considered to be a novel
representing the beginning of the science fiction
genre. The novel tells the story of Victor
Frankenstein, a scientist, who created a creature
from dismembered body parts of human beings in
an unorthodox scientific experiment. The Monster,
or the Creature, kills many people while aimlessly
looking for Frankenstein. The aim of this paper is to
explore the influence of nature and nurture in
shaping the character of the Monster in the novel.

Frankenstein:-
Definition of Nurture:-
To take care of, feed, and protect someone or something,
especially young children or plants, and help him, her, or it
to develop. (“TheOfficialHalie - Represent J.A ft. Chris Money”)
According to Saul McLeod, “ nature is that which is
inherited / genetic.” and “ nurture which refers to all
environmental influences after conception, i. e.
Experience.” (McLeod )

Victor that he has the extreme interest in
science shows the fact that Victor is a person
who is capable to perform different scientific
experiment.
● However ,in reality, he used his scientific
knowledge as way to show the ill nature of his

Even if the Scientist was able to put emotions in the
Robot,The outcome was disappointing.
● Both wants the creation to be like them(Human)
In Frankenstein Victor creates a creature out of old body
parts.
In Robot Movie Vashikaran give as similar as his look to
his Robot

● Victor and Vashikaran both tries to tie their
creation with the various threads.
● Creature and Chitti both tries to make themselves
free from those threads.
