Football is Life Essay
Football is Life It all started when I was about three years old when my good friend Anthony Williams and I became friends when he ran his bike
into my sand box. Football has been an event in my life since I was three years old and it still is today. "The key to life is not what life gives to you
but what you take from life. It's not how life treats you but how you treat life. You have a choice in life. You can either thrive or survive."_ Coach
London. Football has made me into the person I am today, hard working, and determined. Football started for me when I was three years old. My best
friend's dad was the defensive coordinator for our local high–school team. Football players were always at his house and we were always watching

I would learn that only the determined would continue to our eighth grade year. The responsibility of playing football was huge. Having enough
time to do my homework, sleep, and to my chores at home was difficult. Going into my eighth grade year I got a few of my friends together and
we lifted almost everyday we also stared working on our plays to get us ready for the season. I did not want to only win two games again. This is
when I started to become a hard worker for football. On the very last game of the year I hit someone and put my head down. I compressed a disc in
my neck and was rushed to the hospital I thought my Football days were over. After basketball I decided not to play football my freshman year or
so I thought. My friend Anthony's dad came and talked to me one on one. He explained to me that if I didn't play then I would be letting my team
mates down and in the long run my school. I decided to keep playing. Going into my freshman year I thought I knew what football was all about, boy
was I wrong. I thought hard work was lifting a little, running a little, and doing some plays. In high–school we started speed training at six in the
morning for two hours and then lifted for two hours after speed training, the older kids would go back in the evening to lift some more. I did not
understand why they did extra work until they won state that year. My sophomore year I did not expect to be playing varsity until the coach came

Florida's 5 Pivotal Games In 2017 Head coach Jim McElwain enters his third season in Gainesville with high expectations after winning the SEC
East division in his first two years. The Gators have an unique schedule set up this football season and a favorable one at that. With only 3 true road
games this year, the Gators could potentially find themselves back in Atlanta and in the talks of the College Football Playoff. Below is my list of the
Gators five most important games this season. 5. Florida vs Tennessee – September 19, 2017 Some could argue Tennessee deserves to be higher on this
list. Especially, after Tennessee resurrected back from a 21–point first half deficit and defeated the Gators 38–28 a season ago, ending...show more

With the school's clashing in recent years debating which university is "DBU" (Defensive Back University) and the chaos of rescheduling the game
last year, the story line creates for a showdown in Gainesville (Which makes some people think this game should be higher on the list). Florida's OT
Martez Ivey gave his thoughts about this game being scheduled for homecoming, "That makes it even more interesting for people to blow this game
up." However, this game doesn't determine the rest of the season for the Gators. If they enter this game at 3–0 in conference play, it isn't a must–win
game. The Gators take pride in their defensive backs and their ability to shutdown opposing teams air attacks, but in recent years, the Gators have
struggled in run stopping, allowing 144 yards/game a year ago on the ground. With Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams returning in the backfield for
the Tigers, the Gators young defense must control the gaps well and play disciplined defense in order to minimize the rushing attack of LSU. Guice
ran for an SEC high 1,387 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore. Adding the departure of Leonard Fournette to the NFL, Guice could surpass
1,500 yards this year. Even though this is 4th on my list, this is still a huge game for the Gators. 3. Florida vs Michigan – September 2,2017 @ Jerry's
World It doesn't get much better than this to kick off one's season. Since my life time, the Gators have

Football As a football fan, like you I hold the magnificent game close to my heart. I have been a loyal supporter of my local team since I was a
young child. I even remember now the first game I witnessed and the amazing feelings that rushed through my veins as the crowd chanted and
roared. We've all felt this, and it is what is so great about the game of football. With football there are ups and there are downs, just like any other
game, but unlike most other sports there are huge injustices week in and week out. Every game there will be a wrong decision made, no matter
whether it big or small it is still unjust. Obviously, you know how painful a stupid decision by some bloke with a whistle...show more content...
In contrast to this, where video refereeing is already used such as Rugby, we notice barely any difference between now and before it was
introduced into the sport. This is because decisions can be replayed a split second after an incident has taken place, to be reviewed by a panel of
officials who can make an almost instant decision. I myself do not think this would waste time at all because, think about it, when a referee makes
a decision on the pitch which is felt unjust to a side of players, it is going to be highly disputed leading to arguments between players and officials
which in turn leads to cards being shown as we've seen so many times before. Due to this, a huge advantage of video replays would be that the
referee only has to enforce a decision on the pitch, meaning that any of the players on the field have no one to dispute a decision because it will be
accurate in it's decision by officials watching a 'big screen' Has your team ever had an unjust decision against them that could cause huge
consequences to their survival? I think the answer to that is yes, like any club in any league. We've all had unfair decisions made against us that could
lead to all kinds of disasters such as relegation or losing the title. This can't go on much longer surely. Game after to

The NFL Playoffs are set to begin this weekend. Which NFC teams have the best chances of advancing? Find out below... (6) Atlanta Falcons vs. (3)
Los Angeles Rams First off, kudos to Dan Quinn for weathering the storm throughout what was certainly an up–and–down 2017 season for the Atlanta
Falcons. Coming off the biggest collapse in Super Bowl history, Quinn and his staff still managed to win 10 games and reach the playoffs, despite by
all accounts what was a down season for Matt Ryan. And although it's easy to assume that Kyle Shanahan's departure is to blame for Ryan's 2017
struggles, that doesn't necessarily seem fair to new offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. In fact, many of Ryan's miscues this season seemed to arise
simply from...show more content...
Meanwhile, the Rams enter the playoffs with a first–year head coach, second–year quarterback and a plethora of other young players across the field.
The Rams are a highly skilled and well–coached, but they might be just a year or two away from seeing real playoff success. Although the Falcons
would obviously prefer to play at home, Los Angeles isn't exactly the most intimidating place to play a football game. Therefore, look for the
Falcons to learn from last year and slip away late against one of the NFL's most promising young teams. Predicted Score: Falcons 27, Rams 24 (5)
Carolina Panthers vs. (4) New Orleans Saints It's always fun to see division rivals matchup during the playoffs, and Saturdays contest between the
Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints should be no different. Despite both teams entering Wild Card Weekend sitting at 11
–5, the Saints proved to
have Cam Newton and the Panthers' number during the 2017 season, winning both of their head–to–head matchups. With both teams coming of
disappointing sub–.500 seasons, it was a pleasant surprise to see both teams lead the NFC South to the distinction of the NFL's toughest division this
year. While Matt Ryan owned the quarterback headlines within the division during his MVP campaign tear a season ago, Drew Brees stepped back
into the forefront as the class of the NFC South signal callers with an outstanding 2017

Essay About Football
About Football Football, the beautiful game. The most popular sport in England yet tainted by the violence that accompanies it. Last year 3391
people were arrested for football related violence including assault, drink and drug offences, running on the pitch and missile throwing. These are just
some of the despicable acts that are committed across the country every week. A report made by the NCIS (National Criminal Intelligence Services
showed a 8.1% increase in football related offences between 1999 & 2001. Today I'm here to talk to you about why I think better measures need to be
taken to ensure these...show more content...
My first reason is the most important and the most serious. It is the fact that every year several deaths and injuries are caused by football related
violence. Two years ago, two Leeds fans died after being stabbed to death before a match in Istanbul. Just imagine lying there, bleeding to death,
knowing that you're going to die at the hand of some drunken idiot. This is just one example of the thousands of fatalities that have occurred due to
rioting. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the game, but I fail to understand why these people do these things. I mean, some of the people that
commit these acts aren't even supporters of the game but are just out to make trouble. Wouldn't it be great if a man could take his kids to a football
match without the fear of them being killed or injured? If the clubs involved in these incidents could just bring in more security such as guards and
cameras then I'm sure the violence could be "tamed". It's not only fighting that causes injury as well. Players and referees alike are often pelted with
missiles such as in Italy, when Inter Milan had Molotov Cocktails thrown at them by their own supporters! Referees often have things thrown at them
just for making an incorrect decision. If one of the objects thrown, hit the target in the face they could be

Essay on Concussions in Football
Even though football players are aware of the dangers the game can bring upon them, they take part despite it. The passion, the joy it creates; for
professionals it's also the devoted fans and compensation they receive is what keeps the players motivated. Today players are much bigger, faster,
smarter, bigger, better. The game is more physical. The sport has never been so competitive. The popularity has reached new peaks, as much that the
NFL has thoughts of moving a team to London, England. Additionally, Super Bowl XLVII (47) was one of the most watched television events of all
time; an astonishing 108.4 million viewers (The Associated Press). Fans worship their teams and love to see big hits. Football is a contact sport;
injuries are no...show more content...
Most importantly this sort of injury is linked to CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy). CTE is a brain disease found in individuals with annals of
head trauma. It has specifically been found in athletes with numerous concussions. So far it can only be diagnosed in the deceased, but Dr. Julian
Bales and his staff in UCLA have discovered symptoms in living players such as Hall of Famer Anthony "Tony" Dorsett, Hall of Famer Joe
DeLamielleure, and NFL All–Pro Leonard Marshall. CTE can cause memory loss, dementia, depression, suicidal thoughts, cognitive and emotional
difficulties (Waldron par 1, 2, 3). Is it a compelling issue? A total of 171 concussions were reported in the NFL in the 2012
–2013 season; 88 thus far in
the 2013–2014 season (Frontline pt). Those are just numbers in the professional level. There are thousands of kids playing football either in youth,
middle school, high school, or college level. The diagnosis is currently in progress, researchers are optimistic this could lead to a legitimate treatment,
how to manage, and hopefully a cure. Furthermore, this can also possibly lead to an answer to a connection between football and chronic traumatic
encephalopathy. Junior Seau, Mike Webster, Terry Long, and Justin Strzelczyk (all of whom are dead now) are all men who played in the NFL for an
extent period of time. This is not the only thing they have in common. These former players had an uncustomary

Globalization Of Football
The globalization of football has skyrocketed through the years, which has resulted in many negative and positive outcomes for the sport as a whole in
Africa. Africa has been empowered and disempowered by this globalization that has created a complex relationship involving independence, peace and
commercial imperatives. As I will describe throughout this essay,Africa as a continent has come a long way with the globalization of football but still
struggles deeply in certain aspects. Football has played a vital role when it comes to the continent's countries gaining independence and peace. Before
focusing on one particular example to display why football has played such an important role, it is important to note that it has affected many other
areas of the continent other than just the one discussed. However, this one particular example points out how the globalization of an African
footballer can change a country and create peace and independence for a country. In 2004 the Ivory Coast was in the middle of a civil war between
the rebel–held Muslim north and the government–held Christian south. The civil war was officially declared over in 2007 yet the country was still far
from peace which is where football came into play to aid in peace and independence (Sellstrom 13). Didier Drogba, a highly esteemed footballer
playing for Chelsea and a native of Ivory Coast, helped promote the country to come together as one, set aside their differences and support their
national team,

While Matt Ryan owned the quarterback headlines within the division during his MVP campaign tear a season ago, Drew Brees stepped back into the forefront as the class of the NFC South signal callers with an outstanding 2017 Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Essay About Football About Football Football, the beautiful game. The most popular sport in England yet tainted by the violence that accompanies it. Last year 3391 people were arrested for football related violence including assault, drink and drug offences, running on the pitch and missile throwing. These are just some of the despicable acts that are committed across the country every week. A report made by the NCIS (National Criminal Intelligence Services showed a 8.1% increase in football related offences between 1999 & 2001. Today I'm here to talk to you about why I think better measures need to be taken to ensure these...show more content... My first reason is the most important and the most serious. It is the fact that every year several deaths and injuries are caused by football related violence. Two years ago, two Leeds fans died after being stabbed to death before a match in Istanbul. Just imagine lying there, bleeding to death, knowing that you're going to die at the hand of some drunken idiot. This is just one example of the thousands of fatalities that have occurred due to rioting. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the game, but I fail to understand why these people do these things. I mean, some of the people that commit these acts aren't even supporters of the game but are just out to make trouble. Wouldn't it be great if a man could take his kids to a football match without the fear of them being killed or injured? If the clubs involved in these incidents could just bring in more security such as guards and cameras then I'm sure the violence could be "tamed". It's not only fighting that causes injury as well. Players and referees alike are often pelted with missiles such as in Italy, when Inter Milan had Molotov Cocktails thrown at them by their own supporters! Referees often have things thrown at them just for making an incorrect decision. If one of the objects thrown, hit the target in the face they could be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Essay on Concussions in Football Even though football players are aware of the dangers the game can bring upon them, they take part despite it. The passion, the joy it creates; for professionals it's also the devoted fans and compensation they receive is what keeps the players motivated. Today players are much bigger, faster, smarter, bigger, better. The game is more physical. The sport has never been so competitive. The popularity has reached new peaks, as much that the NFL has thoughts of moving a team to London, England. Additionally, Super Bowl XLVII (47) was one of the most watched television events of all time; an astonishing 108.4 million viewers (The Associated Press). Fans worship their teams and love to see big hits. Football is a contact sport; injuries are no...show more content... Most importantly this sort of injury is linked to CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy). CTE is a brain disease found in individuals with annals of head trauma. It has specifically been found in athletes with numerous concussions. So far it can only be diagnosed in the deceased, but Dr. Julian Bales and his staff in UCLA have discovered symptoms in living players such as Hall of Famer Anthony "Tony" Dorsett, Hall of Famer Joe DeLamielleure, and NFL All–Pro Leonard Marshall. CTE can cause memory loss, dementia, depression, suicidal thoughts, cognitive and emotional difficulties (Waldron par 1, 2, 3). Is it a compelling issue? A total of 171 concussions were reported in the NFL in the 2012 –2013 season; 88 thus far in the 2013–2014 season (Frontline pt). Those are just numbers in the professional level. There are thousands of kids playing football either in youth, middle school, high school, or college level. The diagnosis is currently in progress, researchers are optimistic this could lead to a legitimate treatment, how to manage, and hopefully a cure. Furthermore, this can also possibly lead to an answer to a connection between football and chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Junior Seau, Mike Webster, Terry Long, and Justin Strzelczyk (all of whom are dead now) are all men who played in the NFL for an extent period of time. This is not the only thing they have in common. These former players had an uncustomary Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Globalization Of Football The globalization of football has skyrocketed through the years, which has resulted in many negative and positive outcomes for the sport as a whole in Africa. Africa has been empowered and disempowered by this globalization that has created a complex relationship involving independence, peace and commercial imperatives. As I will describe throughout this essay,Africa as a continent has come a long way with the globalization of football but still struggles deeply in certain aspects. Football has played a vital role when it comes to the continent's countries gaining independence and peace. Before focusing on one particular example to display why football has played such an important role, it is important to note that it has affected many other areas of the continent other than just the one discussed. However, this one particular example points out how the globalization of an African footballer can change a country and create peace and independence for a country. In 2004 the Ivory Coast was in the middle of a civil war between the rebel–held Muslim north and the government–held Christian south. The civil war was officially declared over in 2007 yet the country was still far from peace which is where football came into play to aid in peace and independence (Sellstrom 13). Didier Drogba, a highly esteemed footballer playing for Chelsea and a native of Ivory Coast, helped promote the country to come together as one, set aside their differences and support their national team, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
